Could you be a little more specific please? I am not sure what you are asking...
If you want to run Ubuntu on your phone, there is a thread in the development
section with a guide.

BOOM!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197377&highlight=ubuntu
I mean natively as in not running Android/CHROOT at all, but booting right from the bootloader into Ubuntu like the Transformer or Nexus S can do.

Yes, it is possible. I installed This:
forum. kodi. tv /showthread.php ?tid= 180446
and now i get the splashscreen of MX Linux, then XBMC then nothing. First Run everything was fine.
I have no Idea how to get into recovery Mode, the Procedure with holding the power Button while pluggin in the power cord doesnt work. I didn't work on the original firmware either. Do you have any idea how to get into the recovery mode at the sindwinder 4?

Thanks to sub77,
we got a booting Android 5.1.1 ROM.
Downloads:
ROM: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347819963
Recovery: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5EVF8f93NAlWUFWeHRjdXFXMkE
What is highly recommended?
DON'T INSTALL G-APPS, OR IT WON'T BOOT
What works?
1.) Charging
2.) Booting
What don't work?
1.) Almost everything
What are some things to execpt?
1.) Lag, Lag, Lag, & Lag
2.) Crashing (A Lot)
3.) Random reboots
Can I look at your Source code?
device tree, marvell trees, kernel, other stuff?

What?
Do you know what compiling a Rom means?
Or do you know what porting a rom from one device to other mean?
If you don't know what either of these mean, then this is not your Rom, i want to contact the developer.

Did I say anything about that I had made this ROM?
On the top I gave 100% credit of who made this ROM, I found it on the internet and I posted it on XDA so everyone can give it a try. I never knew it was going to hurt anyone for me to post a ROM.
All I know, it is the real Android 5.1.1 Lollipop made by sub77.

Hey I just found this post. And see that there will be no development on it... So, may I suggest to try with Oreo (I see @secretwolf98 is working on it). I've heard that is easier to port so it deserves a look!

Any problems using the LineageOS GSI, abc1054? I'm still using stock OneUI for now.
Nope
Is it possible to flash LineageOS GSI without access to a Windows PC? The guides I've found seem to require Odin. It's been years since I used Odin but I could only ever use it in Windows, never in Wine.

Are there so many tutorials for flashing GSIs with fastbootD in here? read it . if you have problems, you can post it here.
Is there a build for T225, please?
I haven't been flashing roms for quite long time, so perhaps the question sounds ignorant, sorry in that case.

yeah I wasn't sure if there was a specific tutorial that is unique to sm-t227 or if other people had success specifically with this model. Appreciate the response though.

I'm not familiar with the T227U but the process is more or less the same across Samsung devices. Here is a guide.
havent had any success. Stuck at getting OEM unlock to show up. Anybody successfully done it on t227u that can speak to the process they used?
