On my vibrant I am currently running Pepperake v2. It has alright battery life. However I'm trying to find the best battery life. Speed doesnt effect me that much. I am just trying to find something that has long battery. I feel that every rom I've put on my phone is just draining the battery. Trying to find a stable and battery safe rom. Any ideas?
Nero v3 is stable and battery is pretty good

have you tried enabling the Voodoo lag fix from recovery? And how was the battery life when you tried it?
I've been using Nero Beta 3 with Curio's Stock+voodoo kernel. I get stock battery life, with amazing performance, and of course it's froyo.
using ginger clone with voodoo.
On Idle, i lost 1% in 12 hours (did this while sleeping)
while light use, i got around 30 hours (music for a bit, a little web, texting heavy a few phone calls)
Moderate use around 20-21 hours (music alot, web alot, texting heavy, few phone calls)
Heavy around 15-17 hours (alot of music, tonsssss of web, texting over heavy, alot of phone calls, and dungeon defenders for a half a hour)
i use it heavily, and thats all i need, because when im not using it at night, i charge it, and 17 hours is good enough for me.
voodoo installed, no other changes.
Nero V3, even with voodoo enabled. It's fantastic. For whatever reason the longer I'm running this ROM, the longer the battery is lasting....it's almost like the phone and the battery are becoming a single entity....

Ok I have yet to try this currently testing NeRo v3 with lag fix. I've been using it for an hour with brightness on full. Gps on. Textinf heavily and im at 93 percent. Better than the last

You should turn down the brightness and use titanium back up to freeze some apps that run in the background that you don't use and battery life should be much better

yes, freeze things like...
ALL things that end/start with DRM its useless.
Media Hub
Samsung Apps
and
any other apps that you dont usually use..
i find my maps opens randomly in the background, and i never use maps, so i froze that, i can't use maps now anymore.
things like that will make your battery double easily.
Nero 3 by far. I can go two days almost on a charge using wifi, 3G, a little gaming etc.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Axura 2.2.5.6 so far has been the best for me
Internet, music, apps have been running on my phone all morning and so far I'm down to 90% after 5 hours!
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I will also have to recommend Nero #. Getting fantastic battery life from it. Since i cant use my phone during work hours I just turn off data and use it to listen to music and I can make it through 6-7 hours easy without breaking 75%
Seriously good battery life out of this ROM

Man, ive been running Nero V3 with no voodoo and my battery dies so quickly. Its a fresh flash and I always odin before I flash. Not sure why.... just dies with the quickness.
Eugene's macnut14 and gingerclone , have both been giving great battery life. Macnut 48 hrs and ginger 47 hesitate. Was using Nero v3 and got around 30 hrs. Eugene's IO kernel with superpower app is the key.

Don't worry, it's meant to do that, its so the phone doesn't over charge and kill the battery. Mine does it as well and then a friend on G+ clarified this for me
But it can't be cause when I'm going to sleep I charge my phone andin the morning it have 80%.and still charging means that he was fully charged and than he did discharge so in the morning I don't had fully charged battery ... I have never heard it before I don't think it's normal.. cause it's never happened to me before it's started this week...can anyone else tell us why it's like that? Thanks

Let it get battery stats. Let it drain out utility virtually 100% flat, minimize your running apps and when it's got usable stats, it should work.
Your ROM maybe has an issue with the chargemon file permissions, they're system group settings and can only be updated by hard boot / factory reset if that's the case.
What's the permissions on your chargemon file?
relax!
x10 come with this feature (users don't get it properly), once hitting 100%, the os disconnects itself from the charger to protect the battery.
to charge your battery to the full potential, do this:
1. charge upto 100%
2. reboot into xrecovery, wipe battery status, revoot
3. pull out battery with the charger connected. you will see the battery at 88%.
4. repeat steps 1 to 3 for 4-5 times.
5. charge full upto 100%. unplug the charger. this will mafk the maximum margin in your battery stats file.
6. drain your battery till it switches off. don't use your device vigorously. use normally.
7. insert the charger till it powers on. let it charge upto 100% again. this will mark the battery's minimum margin.
you can copy the battery stats.bin file to a separate location. Why so? because whenever you install custom roms or wipe data, the battery stats get deleted too. thus removing your calibrated file. You can use the saved file to restore your battery stats.bin fir future use.
CheersS!

It is normal
It a battery safety measure implemented by Sony Ericsson do the battery does not get damaged.
However, it shouldn't go down to 80%, maybe contact your ROM developer and ask about this or looks at your chargemon file to see if its correct

Anyway... How is data signal strenght in your region?? When it is slow, the phone keeps loosing and retrieving signal which causes it to be constantly searching for networks and that could be what is draining your battery.

I don't use 3G at all on my Ace, I always leave it on Edge or wifi for a little bit and I get a pretty decent battery life. Running Jusada's ICS Final with Slaid's LagFree script. I get about 10-12 hrs depending on my use.
check cynogenmod settings
Please check the Cynogenmod settings > performance settings > cpu settings. Minimum value will be 122 mhz . But the max value will not be set by default. Set that to 806 mhz . And check the battery drain. In my case same issue happened and now it's just ok.

Here are some steps you could use to save battery while you use the Jusada ROM
.Download SetCPU! and underclock your phone to 480Mhz!
.Decrease the brightness!
.Use wifi only while you charge your phone!
.If you are in an area where data connection is not available change ur service provider!
.Decrease your gaming and listening to music (if you do so)
Press thanks if I helped you!

It clearly is a battery calibration issue. Install battery calibration from the android market. Charge to 100% and that's then re-calibrate. That should bring about major changes. My battery went from 4 hours to 9 hours.
Try infiniti and the myth ics rom best for battery backup.and then recalibrate it

Try this:
Fully charge your phone, switch it off. Check after 2-3 hrs, and see if the battery level has dropped. If yes, then, its the problem with your battery.
IF not, some app is draining through a ditch.
Install GSAM battery monitor, and use its app usage.
One more thing, screen calibration is also missing in sony. So how to calibrate screen?

Even if we post our battery stat..
The problem lies in
How we use our phone
How old is our phone
ROM and kernel versions
Applications installed
and everything related..
You cannot compare an apple to a orange.
I think this is very decent battery life (using CM9).

Depends on your usage. Of course, powersave would be in the running for best battery life, but it would not be ideal if you are a gamer or heavy user. I personally use a governor not available on any of the GB kernels as far as I know (SmartassH3).
Never liked SetCPU. I use No frills; simple UI, allows you to change governor and I/O scheduler, look at some frequency stats, etc.

SmartassH3 is supposed to be a more battery efficient version of Smartassv2.
I don't think changing your governor will help with sleeping issues. Governors only affect how the CPU ramps up and down. If you have issues with your phone sleeping, then it is most likely one of your apps.
Since you already have BetterBatteryStats, you can easily check partial wakelocks and see if any apps are keeping your phone awake.
I really doubt upgrading the app will change the battery usage of your phone.
If you cared about battery life, being on stock is bad start. Why not use CM7 or CM9?

Just change the rom and Kernel.
You are getting so many bugs and yet you didn't flash new rom.
I recommend that you change roms and see what's best for your phone and your usage.
I'm not sure but the kernel you are using is for gaming I think. ie. More power, less battery.
Anyways here is a battery usage graph :
