Hi,
Every now and then my accelerometer stops working. I usually keep restarting into the bootloader to fix it, but its not as effective as the first couple of times. I'm still within my 30 days, should I return it? Or is there a way to fix this?
When I calibrate the G Sensor, it always aborts when the problem is present.
My wife's G-sensor is broken too.... but anyways...
If you're still stock and even after a factory reset it still causes problem, definitely exchange it.

My touchscreen has been doing some weird things for a while now. First of all it just stops responding altogether and a temporary fix is locking and unlocking the phone. The second issue is the screen taking a mind of its own and pressing itself to which I can only watch and hope that it stops. I thought these two problems were software related but I've flashed a few roms and kernels and have factory reset the phone too, yet they still exist. So does anyone have any solutions or has had similar problems? The annoying thing is that the issues happen on and off so there's no solid way of showing it to my carrier so they can give me a replacement phone.
I had the same issue, only while charging my phone. Seems like another bug or something

try wiping the phone's surface with very slightly damp cloth, it could be the dust & water causing all sorts of problems. make sure its clean. If it continues, contact the LG service. they MUST fix that kind of error. but get rid of your root
It's a hardware problem (touch screen)
I had exactly the same problem. I've sent the phone in for repair and had the touch screen replaced. Now everything is working fine.
Hello everyone, din anyone else experienced problems with the light and the proximity sensor? On my SGS2, after few minutes of intense usage (usually after surfing on net via Wi-Fi, when phone gets hotter) the above sensors get stuck.
More precise, using a Sensor Tester, the light sensor shows either 0, either 16000, whilst the proximity sensor doesn't update values at all (stays at 0) when putting the hand near (or on it) and taking it away.
Again, anyone else experienced? Might be a faulty unit or is it a general behaviour?
Thanks!
Bogdan M.
I have the same problem but with the proximity sensor only
I sent it to warranty, next week I will see the resolution. Hopefully they'll replace it as faulty.
cheers.
Same Here
Sames Here, went back to warranty still waiting the answer
Ya me also facing the same proximity sensor issue from the last few days. the sensor is not working during a call. It started after I updated a game (diversion) and the facebook app from the android market. god knows what is the reason. Tried DHD proximity Recalibration yesterday. it says Kernel not found "- ps_kadc not found.
I will try to reinstall all the firmwares using kies today and see if the problem get solved. will let you guys know
Hi, I have a quick question.
My digitizer starts failing. I know in the end it should fails cause most of them need to be replaced but maybe my problem is different.
Most of digitizers are stop working at all or only some parts of it. My digitizer is working fine but ONLY after turning on screen sometimes it's working like using it with wet fingers - it's crazy pointing everything without my control. After turn off and on screen it's working fine until next turning on.
I'm wondering can it be software problem?? I had similar problem in Defy+, leds under hardware keys stop lighting and before sending it on warranty I wiped it and now all working fine.
It's no problem for me to replace digitizer or wipe system but it would be good to know that it can be software problem before buying new digitizer.
Maybe you need to apply the raindrop fix. Been discussed already.
First, thaks for understanding what I mean. (Very poor english)
Second, this is exactly what I ment. I just copied tounchpad.cfg from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1467696 and all looks fine now. No mess up on multitouch. I hope it will stop messed up touch while turning on screen, need to test it for a while cause this issue isn't appears on each turning on but ocassionaly.
Anyway thanks for fix. You saved my time (3 hours on wiping and bulding new system) and money on new digitizer.
One more thing. I'm using this phone from few months and everything was ok. The problem appears few weeks ago. So if it is bug in rom it should appears just after I bought it, not after few months. Or maybe it's not factory bug but just error in touchpad.cfg??
Sorry for post under post but I have few more informations.
After testing few days raindrop fix the problem still exist. Fix helped but not fixed problem. Still after turning on screen touch is acting crazy but after first touch it stops and before applying fix it stops only after turning off screen and turning it on.
I reflashed full sbf stock Gingerbread, full wipe including internal memory and still the same problem.
Strange thing I observed is the problem appear only when WiFi is on and it's searching or trying to connect. When WiFi is off or it's connected to router the problem never appears and when I turn on screen and after that turn on WiFi everything is ok. Only when I'm turning screen with WiFi on screen touch acting like crazy.
Is there any chance to fix it or should I buy new digitizer??
Ok, I changed digitizer on warranty and now everything is okay. Funny thing is that I have unlocked bootloader and they changed my digitizer without any problems. Less funny is that they broke both sensors changing it and I had to send My Atrix to Motorola once more after two days to change flex. But now I hope it should be working fine.
So after all it had to be popular hardware problem.
Thred can be closed.

My heart sensor and the pedometer and the light sensor stop working all together after sometime. Even the auto screen brightness stops working. But all apps and phone calls work. I am using Sprint and my gear is paired with my Note II. Can anyone help on this I hate having to reboot the watch ever time I want to take my heart rate. And auto screen brightness stops working.
From the dial screen, type *#0*#, you will get to the hardware diagnostic screen for the gear S, select sensors, run the test for those sensors you have an issue with. You may also try *#7353# to execute some self test.
All the sensors are unresponsive with the test codes you give me. If I reboot the watch and do the codes again it works fine. Seems to freeze after I receive a notification. Seems to be a software problem. I just wanted to know if anyone else is having this problem.
At least yours works with a reboot. I have been using mine since I bought it from best buy in early March. Yesterday I noticed during a trail run that my screen would not wake and my steps were not being counted. I rebooted several times and did a full reset of the device. Luckily Best Buy honored the 1 year warranty and let me exchange. I'm really concerned about this happening because I just got it a couple months ago and had hardware problems without ever mishandling my watch. I sure hope I don't have to constantly exchange it every few months.
I have the same problem since the last software update. I have bought my Gs directly from a Samsung store. You resolved your issue?
I haven't run across this issue since exchanging it. However I had two additional exchanges since then due to screen flickering and another time my screen started going black.
Has anyone had this occur?
It's happened twice now and a factory reset fixes it but only temporarily. If the phone is left alone, the second screen will normally dim to roughly half it's brightness on its own. This is normal, however mine stays continually at full brightness and has stopped dimming, again. Also if the proximity sensor is covered by either placing the phone in your pocket or turning it screen down in the table. The screen will completely turn off. Once removed from the pocket or turning it face up, it will normally turn back on. Easily seen by testing this. However, mine has stopped turning off on either example. It stays on constantly no matter what. I have done a factory reset twice before and it fixes the issue but that is getting old. Does anyone have this issue or advice on how to fix this? I would be very grateful. I'm tired of resetting my phone.
Thank you

No one knows eh? It's a mystery to me as well. Wondering if it's a proximity sensor problem. ?

Hmm.. I installed a few applications to test the proximity sensor. Turns out it's not working. This in turn prompted me to search of the issue with regards to the proximity sensor malfunctioning. I discovered a couple threads declaring similar problems with the second screen after folks disabled system applications.
My phone is not rooted but I've disabled Instagram and Facebook through the applications settings on the phone. This was dinner sometime shortly before the recent malfunction. These of course on the v10 are system applicants, at least on T-Mobile.
Long story short, the only way to fix it sounds like what I've been doing, factory reset.

The proximity sensor is definitely not working. It's pretty obvious during a phone call as well. I'm going to utilize LG bridge to back up tomorrow. Then I'll do a factory reset.
There's definitely a connection when disabling system apps through the normal application settings route. Not sure how many are affected by this. But if it ever effects someone else, remember this thread.
I'll post results tomorrow. At this point I'm convinced it's not hardware related and if things return to normal afterwards. That'll confirm my suspicions that there's a bad bug floating around to what degree I'm not sure.
