Hi, I was trying to root my device with insecure kernel, and then my device hangs on galaxy i9100 boot screen,
so, I've tried to restore my stock kernel, but it didn't help...
finally I've tried to flash the jpkg2 stock rom from intratec thread, also the same...
i tried this

and my phone stoped at this
and with fully falied odion tests...
now I can enter the download mode.
but recovery mode is not working
Note: there was no Kies when I did this, after that I tried all the things before with kies installed, and with samsung_usb_driver, and still got no success.
Note: Odion recognize my device, download mode is fine.
any help would be apprecciated.
Quite clearly not a "How To", and what was wrong with your other thread?
plz help i9100 dead.
im trying here to make it more clearly
I did't find any help in my last thread, so I tried to be more specific here.
Taken from Intratech's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
........................
3. Start Odin
4. Click on the PDA button and browse to the .tar file that you extracted in step 1
If the package has more than one .tar archive then they will be labelled with PDA, Phone/Modem and CSC. Just put them in the corresponding section of Odin
5. DO NOT PUT .PIT FILE AND DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TICK REPARTITION.
Anyone ask about .pit file is a moron
Click to expand...

First thing I notice when looking at your screenshot is that you have ticked re-partition.
Second thing I notice is that you have tried to flash a PIT file.
Maybe that's where you are going wrong??
I found this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18961761&postcount=9
this man was unable to flash his device " Odion Fail"
so one of the suggestions was to use another computer, and yeh!! it works for him.

What was wrong with the replies? You didn't find a magic fix to your problem, which in all honesty, was just you being stupid putting the wrong files into the Odin boxes. If you want a magic fix, send your phone to Samsung and pay for the fix they do.
If you want a normal fix, listen to the replies given in the other thread. Don't start spamming new topics everywhere with the same question just because you don't like the answer. Remember, you killed your phone and others are actually trying to help you fix it....

Hi guys,
New to forum. Please delete this thread if you think this is duplicate. But I can't find any solutions so far. I searched the whole xda forum and googled but of no avail. I looked at the suggestions you give at the time of posting, but no.
Here is my problem.
I followed an excellent thread for rooting the stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286432. I got UCKK6 Stock rom working with root and got all the other apps that make use of rooting.(Except I could not find out how to say thank you. Thank you Entropy! ) ). Now I want to install Clockworkmod recovery and I get Signature failed error. I use, the (prohibited) ROMManager.(I cant find an alternative, on SGH i 777 at least.)
Please help me.
Had you spent some time reading through the FAQ and stickies you might have seen the warnings against using ROMManager. Did you try searching for an answer because this is a common pitfall of people who flash a ROM without knowing what they're doing. The stickies in General have your answers.
Yes. I did that. Unfortunately I could not find the alternatives mentioned to for SGH i 777. That's what I am saying in my original post. Please if you can find it, can you post the link?
Thanks
Simple - install a kernel with Clockworkmod.
OK. So flashing a new kernel is the only solution? There is no way I can get around signature issue? Do I have to use Odin, instead of recovery? since obviously recovery is doing signature verification?

Yes, you have yo flash another kernel with CWM embedded in it to have CWM... you need to either use Odin or Kernel Flasher to get that. After you flash a kernel with CWM embedded in it, you will be able to go into CWM recover and flash everything else.
OK. Thanx. And I love the way you guys give quick replies.
(And I get the message read and read. It's just that you won't a get a solution for all the problems from existing threads. The forum is exhaustive but it's not complete is it?)

Actually i did when I put the .tar file that I got from Entropy's thread in the PDA section I get an error that says...
Invalid Image File.
I'm just saying this..
XDA has become a forum full of assholes.
I didn't say HEY DO IT FOR ME, I said hey am I doing this properly. and your first response is you obviously didn't read the guides on the net, Obviously I did if I posted saying I am unsure if whats going on is going on in this manner, you can say I'm all about helping members blah blah blah, but if your first question isn't
Have you read any of the guides out there? and instead you put some asshole assumption then you are a SHAME to XDA, 2 years ago XDA was much better quality members,
I've never used odin, I'm getting errors when following guides.. the only acceptable area of the .tar that it reads is... in One Package..

nah, forget it. you obviously fail to understand what version you are supposed to be using.....i will let you continue on your own accord......

but your screenshot shows a completely different version of ODIN than the one you are told to use in all the GUIDES.......
what is wrong with using the one-click or the heimdall options?
so for the asshole assumption, i presume you understand you are using the wrong ****ing odin?

He said and I quote..
use
ODIN 1.85 or better the odin downloaded was ODIN 4.0
Assumption being that it was the correct version and Heimdall's gui was confusing..
I did download 1.85 and it seems that.. the .tar can be placed into PDA
Now I wanna double check this guide or not and I hope you can not bite my head off but..
The .tar goes in PDA
Options should be set is..
Auto Reboot - on
F. Reset Time - on
nothing else

Are you sure your flashing the right ROM for your device? Bare in mind that you've got an I9100G phone.
I refuse to help on the basis you cant be bothered to use a real topic title.
Sorry about my Thread title as you can see it was my first thread ill do better with my title on my next thread. Anyways if someone has a link to a website/thread where i can download roms for my GT-I9100G i would be forever grateful. Thanks.

Topic titles should be descriptive not silly generic ones like "hlp plz" that dont tell people browsing forum anything about topic.
To grab stock sammy firmwares for your device you can get them via http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/.
Just put the main rom file in PDA section of ODIN and flash it. Then go back into download mode and flash custom kernel, again via ODIN.
Or to get custom ones....

Good luck with that.
I everyone im new but read a whole lot of hours to be able to come this "far"
Anyone what i did is 1. Root , 2. Unlock bootloader 3. Clockworkmod recovery , 4. Flash Codename Lungo
But i realized it had NO FileManager, Browser or 3rd party market installed
I can't find a proper "guide" or download source where to download Fdroid in a .zip file that i can flash trough CWM or do whatever app i like that way. The most important thing right now is that i can somehow install a FileManager that way i can atleast do more things and install apks how im used to
I tried AROMA but can't understand the terminal
:good:
You don't have an i9300 if you had to unlock the bootloader.

First of all that kind of language is not tolerated on Xda!! :silly:
boomboomer was like me trying to help you by stopping you posting in the wrong forum because if you do any information or flashing of software from the wrong forum can brick your device. Now if you had done all the research you say you have done then you will know that I9300 international does not have a locked bootloader unless you have a magic phone that nobody else does! You may well have a I9300 but you did not unlock the bootloader! Also keep up the foul language (it will soon get you banned!

Man i couldn't Flash and install CWM if i didn't unlock the boot loader. You can think whatever you like i installed an APK called un-lock or something swiped "unlock bootload" and a green mark appear with avoice saying "that was easy".
So now go ahead and think whatever you like about it and stop telling me i write in the wrong forum when i have i9300 posting in Q&A help & troubleshooting section. Are there not one single person here who is normal who could post something instead of these two idiots.

I have posted about my problem in several threads now, but I didn't get an answer yet, so I hope I can finally save my phone with your help here... It's been a major pain the cojones for two weeks already.
In short, here is what happened:
I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and after flashing superSU (once I found out how to get into TWRP), I got a bootloop.
So I wanted to do a full wipe. But I messed up and wiped literally everything, even the OS
Then I went on to look for a stock ROM zip file. I found one, but I didn't read the whole article which said it was for H901. I installed it and found out it's branded T-mobile version on top of all.
Now I'm trying to get back to a H960A stock ROM, but no luck so far.
I have tried both methods from the LG V10 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock) KDZ & TOT Method thread
Then there was a shed of hope when I stumbled upon this thread, where the OP managed to do the same
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/help/flashed-h901-h960-comrade-to-help-t3429025
I downloaded the modified Switzerland file mentioned in one of the comments, but it didn't do through for me.
I also tried to run the chkdzdev tool to change my EU version KDZ file, but agian, I got the same error (possibly I didn't do it right, since there is no manual whatsoever and the author doesn't reply)
Here is a screenshot of how it went:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So now, my only hope is to:
a) find a zip with H960A stock ROM (probably none exists on the interwebz)
b) find a TWRP backup that I can "revert" to (not sure if this would work, but if anyone would be so kind, I could find out...)
c) find someone who can modify the KDZ file and tell me how to do it
Anyone?

Or anyone has any idea how do I fix this?
Anyone has any idea where to turn for help with this issue? If not on xda, where can I look for a solution?
Try this. There is some instructions here that might be different from what you've been trying.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/guide-lg-v10-stock-firmware-to-stock-t3224170
It's saying after you load the firmware into LGUp, you have to close it and then open it again, select refurbish, and then make sure bin file is checked. Hopefully this can get you going. Good luck.

I've tried this one... it wouldn't even let me load the kdz file without doing this...
Problem is, the firmware version is coded somewhere deep in the file and it won't let me install it on a device that has a different version (unfortunately mine was overwritten by the stupid stock ROM i've managed to install)
