The passwords of all wireless routers or modem are stored in plain text with full detail in :
/data/wifi/bcm_supp.conf
OR
/data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf (Most probably this one)
Alternative name for topic: how to steal wifi passwords!
Anyway, did anyone get the google account to restore wifi passwords? Initial setup boasts of this ability.
Perfect

You just need root explorer.Go to the given path and open the file.Of course, you must have root access. That's it.
Wow....It really works!!!

There are a lot of programs that can do that for you. You'll just need something a little more powerful than a phone.

Weird, Unix-based systems should store passwords as MD5.

If you don't have root, what good will the backup someone gives you do you? You would need Titanium Backup of some form to restore the file, and it requires root for the non-pro version too.
Besides, this sounds like a shady attempt to get a paid app for free.

Its not worth wasting your time over. This all stems from the OP not being able to root his phone/upgrade to ICS.Hes had 6 guys advising him.....and still no joy.
If someone cant do something for themselves, then they can always pay someone that can do it.
You wouldn't need titanium to restore cause you can just use the apk to install on any phone. Normally requests like this are eiter
a) No market access from the users locations
b) getting hold of no purchased software to remove license verification.

Hi all,
Can i get facebook home on my SGS3 whitout root?
I live in Denmark and I cant get the it trough Play Store..
If it is possible, how do I installe the apk??
Thanks
Yup. You install the apk's as any other, the official-release version of Facebook home doesn't need reinstalling Messenger & Facebook. Download-link can be found by just googling "facebook home.apk"

Your finger is all thats required .
jje
how about you Google "how to install an apk" before posting here
And did you try? If yes, what do you think about facebook home? tell us your experience
it sucks if you use your phone for anything other than Facebook and instagram
Interesting it's kinda nice, but the scrolling of the picture is annoying and I don't really want it as my home application so it's a C- good first attempt.

Hey all
So I was wondering if I can explore files, pics, music from an un-rooted password-protected phone?
I presumed I can do that by flashing a CF-ROOT then opening recovery and mount storage!!
Is that possible???
Up?
