Hi all,
After 2 days triying ,Yesterday i succeed to put the w7.bi+bootloader into the phone with your method and worked ok. I explain this couse it can be helpull to others with same behavior.
First, you must have a W6.5 radio version 321 in the phone. Otherwise you wont be able to reach Factory mode in your phone.
My problem were concerning drivers. If the drivers are not well installed its useless. My problem was concerning this issue. With W7x64 , Common downloader option is not valid couse the platform is not for 64 bit.The PC see the conection bur doesnt work due drivers (you can see them in yellow in the w7 hadrware manager). And after 1 min or less... time out. If you try to update the drivers for TOSHIBA DL driver doesnt work. So my option was to make first Common downloader with another PC with xp 32 bit windows, and after the BASE SOURCE option (FFU-) with W7 x64 bit PC. It works perfectly.
The w7.bin I put It seems to be very fluid and fast, even faster than with w 6.5 but There are some important bugs (camera...umts). I think its not the latest, but I cant find any other.... Can any of you you provide a link with the latest (that you know?).
Thaks for the help, I hope my experience can helps others. Some times its harder the rampup rather than the full process...xd.
Br from Spain.

9 is there any other OS. Bin for this phone?

Solution from cmonex
this is good for both corrupt modelid and corrupt wifi, and fixes both at the same time.
STEP BY STEP:
1. download attachment at the end of the post for mac1.exe (requires .net 2.0 installed on the PC)
2. you will also need to download the other attachment in this post for the mtty program.
3. enter bootloader (tricolour screen) manually by pressing and holding camera button all the way in (yes I mean that, press it in as hard as you can!!), while doing a reset, then keep the camera button held until you see the tricolour screen.
4. disable USB in activesync (wmdc if you have vista - in this case, do not kill wmdc, just disable usb in it!!!)
5. run mtty and select USB option from the dropdown box!
6. then press enter in main window that comes up, see if that gives you Cmd>
7. now you should have Cmd>, if not, re-check if you did the above steps right until you get Cmd>
8. now run the mac1.exe, type in your MAC address you want to use for the Athena, if you have SPL 3.xx reported on the tricolour screen, then use the button for SPL 3.xx, otherwise if you have SPL 1.xx reported, use button for 1.xx.
9. this should have generated a .bin file for you, copy that bin file in the folder of mtty.
10. now, in mtty, type (do not copypaste!) this command: task 32
11. this should return Level = 0
12. now, you must only do one of the two following commands:
- if you have SPL 3.xx, then type (do not copypaste!!) this command: lnb filename.bin 76508000
(there filename is the name of the .bin file you generated - don't forget to put .bin after filename, as the full name is needed).
- OR, if you have SPL 1.xx, then the command is different (do not copypaste!!): lnbs filename.bin 75108000
(there filename is the name of the .bin file you generated - don't forget to put .bin after filename, as the full name is needed).
NOTE, the command starts with a lowercase "L", not "I"!
WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT MIX UP THESE TWO DIFFERENT COMMANDS!!!
if this info helps: most people will have SPL 3.xx, and if you have AP4 (not vanilla) already running then you're definitely 3.xx
13. mtty will popup a window asking "OK", you press OK!
if you get "Fail to synchronize with the host (1)", then make sure you did follow step by step. if still same error, try placing mtty and the bin file under C:\.
14. now the file downloads, if mtty reports it flashed the file, and at the end "code entrypoint unknown", then that's it, now boot back to WM and see if wifi works.
edit: see raskell's mtty tutorial too, #36. post in this thread
if you *really* can't manage to get it working, you can still feel free to PM me.
let me know if this program and step by step description helped any.
hmmm, looking over what you did, the only problem I see so far is with the USB port.
in the port settings screen, it should be USB, not //WCEUSB
so make sure you go into active sync and in the connection settings window make sure you turn off the "allow USB connection". then run the tool again and check if you see the USB option there.
y have bootloader from x7510? athe400 means bootloader from x7510 and its hardware is a little different. your device is athe100, it can cause the problem. Try athena updater to 3.5 spl and then mtty
I have this problem too. I cant flash my device becouse invalid ID, and dont work the mtty command.
Can anyone help me pls?
check your Bootloader it should show ATHE100 not ATHE400 it means you flash wrong SPL on it. Contact cMonex for this case. She just make my pda back in 30 minutes
1. Download the file
2. Change the extension of the downloaded file. Zip (should happen: RM803_12w07_prod_generic_updated_nokia_osbl.zip)
3. Open the file. It should contain two files. We take out the file «nokia_osbl.mbn».

4. Connecting the Nokia 710 to a computer in a mode of Qualcomm (Turn off the phone. Hold down the volume + and connect the USB). We wait until the removable drive will appear.
5. Download the program "HxD" ftp://wa651f4:[email protected]/HxDSetupEN.zip
6. Run as Administrator HxD. Click the "Advanced -> Open Disk." My phone number appears in the program as a "Removable Disk 1."
7. We find our phone number. Remove the check mark "read only". Click "OK". The section begins with a boot sector with number 1001. To quickly find the sector take advantage of the panels at the top.
8. Make sure it starts with a «0B 00".
9. We hide HxD open it phone.
10. Now open the file «nokia_osbl.mdn» HxD in and copy all its contents (you can press Ctrl + A and Ctrl + C).
11. Go back to HxD open the phone.
12. At the beginning of the sector in 1001, about the letters «0B 00" right click and click 'Insert the replacement. "
13. Save the changes.
14. Disable USB. We take out the battery. Turn on the phone. Now you can flash with the NCS. But in order to install custom firmware, you have to re-open mode of Qualcomm.

As far as I know you can update a Lumia 800 to DLOAD via the NCS. I'm not really sure why you would do this, though.
I am new in this field, but i you know a solution to DLOAD my lumia 800 with NCS, please share with me, cause i totally ignore how to do it. Thanks in advance
So, once upgraded to Qualcomm, if ever it needs to go back to Nokia DLOAD, just use these steps, am i right?
Good work, vova

I have the QC bootloader on my phone and I'm having a heck of a time trying to upgrade it to the Tango update. I feel like it's the QC bootloader that's somehow blocking me from using NCS. I have a thread for my problem http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734174.
I think if I can get the DLOAD on my phone then it can get stock upgrades...but at this point, my phone is stuck with an old version with no upgrade path.
Details please
Hi as a noob I'm weak but wanabee smart Not to waste my phone. In the tuto, at the end when suppose to paste. Should it be over what's already there if so then we need to select from section 1001 and paste over or else. I'm really not sure how to paste it caus' HxD does not give me the 'Insert the replacement

RM-809
Hi, this is my first post here and I want to solve one question
I can use this process on my Nokia Lumia 710 RM-809?
I am from Brazil and here only sold the RM-809, branded ou unbranded.
Thanks
NCS doesn't recognize my phone
I upgraded to DLOAD from Qualcomm based on your instructions. That went well. But even now, Nokia Care Suite doesn't recognize my phone. I want to flash latest roms and don't need modded roms. Please let me know as to how I can do this. TIA
Edit: NM, I was able to do it.

answered my own question
i missed the bit where it said read only and untick
How do i insert replacement? I dont see the option under right click.
I am running HdX as admin and unchecked read only. I can see the option when in the downloaded file but on the phone side it is grayed out.
Can you explain better...
12. At the beginning of the sector in 1001, about the letters «0B 00" right click and click 'Insert the replacement. "
no image of this should i overwrite "0B 00" with all file's content, insert before "0B 00" or overwrite all the content of the sector 1001?
Thanks for the help
PS: no "insert the replacement" option. only paste/write
Sorry but... what is the difference between DLOAD and Qualcomm? Is one of those "better"? thanks.
Hi I'm really stuck on getting adb to connect to my nook color first gen.
I'm on windows 8 and I followed instructions to disable driver verification and it's still not installing the driver for the nook. It says driver is not for the device.
I've tried modifying the google .inf file to add the Hardware Id's of the nook, I've tried using the usb_driver.zip from developers.nook...etc .
I've tried the simple nookcolor-easyADB.exe, which only does the same thing with the .inf and usb_driver.zip files.
I'm lost, I don't know if windows 8 just messes with me on the driver being unverified, or if I'm installing to the wrong place, but I've "updated" the driver, after uninstalling, after disconnecting and reconnecting.
I tried every single thing on the device managers list that had a driver associated with the nook.
This nook doesn't come with a setting to enable development.
I tried downloading the adbWireless app, but the nook says it's not "from the nook store", I'm so frustrated, can anyone help me?

It sounds like you are on stock firmware and not rooted, so you are going to need to check out one of the other threads for that. But as far as getting ADB going with Windows 8? I got you covered. I've now done this on two Windows 8 machines so I feel confident that it works. All of the following was done on a fresh install of the Android SDK by installing Android Studio with all default options.
1) The first step is to disable driver signature enforcement on Windows 8, which is the cause of all this devilry. Follow the instructions on this link: Disabling Signed Driver Enforcement on Windows 8
2) Download and extract the attached adb_usb.zip file and extract it. Take the adb_usb.ini file inside and drop it in your .android directory. If my Windows username is cabbieBot, then I find it here: C:\Users\cabbieBot\.android

}
Alternatively, you can just make this file yourself by opening up notepad, typing 0x2080 into it, clicking save, change dropdown from .txt to All Files, and save it as adb_usb.ini
3) Open Device Manager and plug in your NC. You will see NookColor under "Other Devices" with a yellow exclamation mark.
4) Download/extract the attached NookColorADBInstall.zip file.
5) Open Device Manager in Windows 8 You will see "NookColor" under "Other Devices" with the exclamation mark. Right-click on it and click "Update Driver". From here on out its all about just going through the right process of menus and dialogs.
6) Click whats in the red box: "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
7) Just leave it on "Show All Devices" and click Next.
8) IMPORTANT STEP! Click "Have Disk"
9) Click "Browse"
10) Navigate to where you extracted the NookColorADBInstall zip and you'll select the "usbdrivers" folder inside.
11) Without restarting Windows with the driver signature check we'd hit a dead-end here but we good. Click "Next".
12) Tell the dialog to eff off and click "Yes"
13) Click "Install this driver software anyway".
14) DING DING DING! If you have your NC hooked in, you should now see it prompting you to accept the computer's RSA certificate which means your computer and nook are gloriously flirting, so lets check it out to be sure.
15) Navigate to where ADB lives, which on a default installation will be at C:\Users\cabbieBot\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\platform-tools. Hold SHIFT and RIGHT-CLICK in the folder to select "Open Command Window Here"
type:
adb kill-server
then....
adb start-server
then...
adb devices
When you see your device's serial number pop up, you are certifiably done. I decided I wanted to learn to build CM from source and the trusty old NookColor is a handy device to play on, then I ran into the same issues that the OP found with Windows 8. If you are worried about the driver signature check being disabled, just reboot your computer because it doesn't survive a reboot. Hope this is useful to someone else even though dear old Encore is downright ancient at this point.
Hi guys.
I need some clear instructions, and software needed to install Windows 7 on my TG01. I do not know most of the stuff I see posted in threads, so I need something even a retard could do.
It already has WM 6.5 on it. And it works well. I need something with a great chance of not bricking it.
anyone help plz
N00b guide
There is certainly not an obvious way to flash a TG01, especially to WP7, so here is a rough guide it's not perfect but hopefully this works for you. Please read and download everything you need before beginning the process.
Step 1: Flash WP7 bootloader
1) Download and install TG Downloader and the USB drivers. Reboot PC.
2) Fully charge your device battery. (Buy a cheap universal battery charger from eBay if necessary.)
3) Switch off your device.
4) Place your TG01 into "Download mode" as follows...
Devices with 0321 ROMs: Hold down Camera + Power buttons on boot.
Otherwise: Remove back cover, battery and SIM card. Carefully remove black sticker where the SIM card was. Get a piece of copper wire and twirl it so that you can easily hold it and touch Pin 1 and Pin 3 at the same time (known as "shorting"), see below image. Replace battery, short the pins with the copper wire and press the Power button.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After either of these your device should display a white LED on the front which means it is in Download mode. If not, switch off and try again. Also if using the PIN method, maybe try holding the Reset button on the back for 10 seconds straight after pressing the Power button.
5) Connect phone to PC. Start TG Downloader with admin rights (right-click shortcut or EXE and choose "Run as administrator".
6) TG Downloader will display an error, click "yes". Click change port to change to Toshiba DL port if necessary. Click "Download mode".
7) Download and extract wp7boot.bin, browse to it in TG Downloader and click "Start Download".
8) Do not disconnect your phone until the process completes, it shouldn't take longer than 5-10mins.
Step 2: Flash WP7 ROM
1) Download and extract these OS files. Install the Acer driver (32 or 64bit) and the ZTEiT Common Downloader.
2) Download a WP7 ROM. I recommend one of the latest 7.8 builds. Once the ROM is downloaded, extract, rename to flash.bin and place in the same directory as NPRG8650.hex and partition.mbn.
3) Fully charge your device battery.
4) Switch off your device.
5) Hold Camera + Power to boot into Download mode, device should display a blue LED.
6) Connect to PC. Start ZTEiT Common Downloader. Select Multi-Download.
7) Browse to folder with downloaded files. Click advanced and for each of the three files (flash.bin, NPRG8650.hex and partition.mbn) browse to them.
8) Click Start to begin flashing process. Do not disconnect device until complete. Could take 15-25mins.
Then your device should boot up into your new WP7 software. Please note camera does not function in any WP7 builds AFAIK and there may be bugs or other limitations.
If this guide works, please go thank these guys: qinwengui, mirolg, arag0n85 and kevinpwhite. Of course thank the ROM creator too :victory:

My email: [email protected]
Hey, I know it's pretty outdated but does anybody here happen to have the TG Downloader still?
If so, that'd be very helpful if you can re-upload it to somewhere...
Hi all,
first of all: yes, I've used the search function but I couldn't find a solution.
I have a Nord 2 5G device and want to install Evolution X Custom ROM.
I followed the instructions in this forum (and other websites) and managed to downgrade to OOS 11 in order to get into fastboot. The adb command to boot into fastboot mode also worked and my device is saying
fastboot_unlock_verify ok
The device is in fastboot mode which is only for debug Android devices. If you want to exit fastboot mode, please long press volume up and power buttons simultaneously.
Click to collapse
However, the fastboot command to flash TWRP does not work. On the command line I can only see
< waiting for any device >
Click to collapse
and I continuously hear the Windows device attached/device detached chime. The device manager shows this:

}
After opening the properties, I can see this:
As it's German. It says:
The drivers for this device have not been installed. (Code 28).
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
Click to collapse
So obviously I need additional drivers. I have downloaded the USB drivers from this website: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb, chose install from hard drive and pointed to the directory I have unzipped the driver set but Windows can't install them. I have also downloaded the OnePlus driver set from https://oneplusdriver.com/download-oneplus-driver and installed them.
Still, it doesn't work.
I am at the end of my rope now. What did I do wrong?
Thanks in advance!
I have same problem did you find solution

I have downloaded the USB drivers from this website: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb, chose install from hard drive and pointed to the directory I have unzipped the driver set but Windows can't install them. I have also downloaded the OnePlus driver set from https://oneplusdriver.com/download-oneplus-driver and installed them.
Still, it doesn't work.
I am at the end of my rope now. What did I do wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Have you try to use platform-tools? It has adb and fastboot. I have always used that and no problem
SDK Platform Tools release notes | Android Studio | Android Developers
Android SDK Platform-Tools is a component for the Android SDK.
developer.android.com
Look in Eigenshaften > Details > "Device instance path" (k.A. Gerätepfad?).
What's the VID/PID?
Is that in the stock INF file in android_winusb.inf?
If you want, you can just use Zadig drivers. I can give you "fastbogus.exe".
https://zadig.akeo.ie/
Select "WinUSB".

Yes, the thing is, I've installed the drivers in the wrong way. I'll try to give a step-by-step guide:
Go to Device Manager and find the Device (will have the yellow triangle. Right-click on it and choose upgrade driver (hope that's what's shown in the english version of Win 11). You'll see this:
Click the second option. You'll see this:
Here, choose the second option at the bottom. That's where I did it wrong. I selected the drivers in the dropdown menu and that doesn't work.
Click there...
and click there to select the diver *.inf file in the usb_driver folder.
That should work. It's important that you use the official Google Drivers (at least it was important here).
Hope that works.

Hi,
I managed to install the ADB google drivers so I can now at least see Fastboot devices response properly but I do not know how to unlock the bootloader as the command "fastboot oem unlock" is not recognized and there is still no menu for the bootloader unlock (only the message on the black screen)
If anyone could help I would be be very grateful.
Thank you.
Best Regards
Lad
