Hi guys, i'm using KI8 stock with siyah 1.8 right now, and it looks like one of the best configuration for galaxy S2.
Anyway, i'm very interested about trying the famous cyanogenmod 7.1 stable, and i just want to have some judgement about it...it's faster and more battery safe than a stock? it's the best?
[NIGHTLY][ROM][GWK74] CyanogenMod 7 (w/ Gingerbread 2.3.7) for Galaxy SII Q&A contains 6,602 posts relating to CyanogenMod, or since you mention 7.1 "stable" (it was later changed to RC1), [ROM] CyanogenMod 7 for the Samsung Galaxy S II :: V7.1.0 RC1 (9 Oct 2011).
There is no stable release. There is a lot of issues and you should really wait and go with MIUI or one of the modded samsung roms for now

Wrong. There is a stable release, and you can download it from the link posted above. Also, it's not full of bugs, but if you're going to try it, I suggest you go for the latest nightly; it should have more fixes than the stable build. However, it's an experimental build, so be prepared for weird things. I'm using it since a long time, and it's really stable on my phone.
Also, learn to f***ing post in the right thread

Which is based on CM7 and therefore would contain most if not all of the same "issues".
in the cyanogenmod official page the rom it's called "stable"...and anyway i think MIUI has more issues than CGM...

Hello I have a Question about the Offical Cm 7 for our Ace.
Are there actually Bugs?
Is it allday usable?
In the past I used cm allready, but I was not very happy with it (Jusada Icecream Sunday Final and an other port...)
because many apps stucked and did a force close...
How is ist in the offical version?
I like the official nightlies of CM7.2- I found them stable enough to base my custom ROM on it
The new cm roms are pretty much stable for daily use....
as for -> " are there any bugs " all i can say is
.
.
.
.
.
lololololololololololololololololllllll
yes but in my oppinion cm laggs more than a stock rom...
and my apps close not so oft in a stock rom like in cm
I installed the current version of CM7 last night I haven't had much problems with it so far. Try it out (make a back-up of your stock rom first) & you always go back to stock if you're not happy with it!!
are there still issues with Link2SD.?

You might have to flash a couple of the other major ROMs out there and see what suits you. What's best to one might not be best to another. I currently like the Evervolv ICS ROM because the GPS is the most stable (no crashes) than on any ROM I've ever run, including stock and rooted 2.1. I like other features of ICS, but there's caveats like the camera doesn't work right.
I ran GSB for a long time before that, but as CondemnedSoul's was compiled most recently (off of more recent source files), I'd be tempted to stick with it unless there's something in particular you find lacking.
The official CyanogenMod ROM was updated recently for the Eris as well. I haven't tried the most recent version. For a reason I don't remember, I didn't use the old version for very long, and I went back to GSB at the time.
i just got a an eris.... i flashed couple evervovl ics and cm9 but of all were very slow and mic didn't work. Surprisinly, evervolv jelly bean worked the best - mic works, phone, txt, etc.... but camera doesn't work..... give that a try outside gsb....

Hey do you, or anyone for that matter, still have this rom file? If so, it would be extremely appreciated if you could either share a dropbox link, upload to another mirror and share the link, email it to me, or any other means to share the file. I am asking on another forum without any luck so far, and I would like to give this rom a shot.
Currently i have VK ROM (based on 4.1.2 leak) but got tired of those samsung based ROMs and choose to go back to AOKP/AOSP ROMs like CM 10.
Ive seen that there is a "regular" version and another one named nightly. whats the difference between the two?which one is more stable/giving better battery life?
also,if you have it i would like to recommand me on speciefic version (like, the build's release date) and with which kernel it worked better.
(recommanding other combination of ROMs and kernel will be good as well)
thank you! :good:

By "regular" i think you are referring to "stable" releases, as it implies stable releases are having the lowest or no bugs in the entire release cycle. The nightlies are having high chance of major bugs and issues and is not recommended for daily use.
This link will give you everything you need
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_II:_Full_Update_Guide
Also I recommend the stable version for downloading from the rom download list
There are two 7.2.0(Gingerbread) and 9.1.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) as stable releases.
There are several good roms based on CM10 (which currently has only nightlies) like ReVolt, Resurrection Remix(which are stable).
Using GT - I9100
I thank those who give helpful comments
I expect the same from others.
I've searched the entire forum for a stable version of cm10 for I 9300 but have been unsuccessful, I don't get it. Why isn't there a stable version for the international version. On the download site, even the cm10 nighties aren't there. Why so?

That's because TeamHacksung jumped straight from the CM10 nightlies to the 10.1 ones, with no stable release in between.
The term 'stable release' isn't much of a differentiator though - all it means is that the code is a bit older than the nightly release stuff.
a big [Q] in you topic and still in general thread
Yes Both CM10 and 10.1 is stable of course if u don't use HDMI

Yeah but then why were stable versions for like the version or at&t s3's launched?
And one more question, why aren't the cm10 nighties available on the site when even cm9 roms are there

Just letting you know there's an edit button and questions go in Questions & Answer section.
To answer your other question, I don't think the CM team considers CM "stable" on the International GS3 because of the Exynos related issues they can't fix due to lack of / poor documentation. A lot of developer frustration over this. The American versions of the S3 (T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T) all use Snapdragon since Exynos didn't support LTE at time of launch last year.

Hey guys!
I'm new to this forum and having unsuccessfully searched for the answer to my question, I decided to start this thread, maybe some of you will know. So, has any of you tried to flash the official CM 9 for shooteru? If yes, could you please share your experience?
AW: [Q] CM 9 official nightly builds
No, we had devil toast, which was -at least at that point- much better , less bugs, working cam, stable, fast
The official builds weren't that complete, maybe they are it now but we also have unofficial cm10(.1) roms which I would recommend to use (butter, Google now,....)
Some of the later cm9 builds didn't even have working camera... At least for me it didn't work lol.

Thank you guys. Just thought that since it has been updated weekly for a few months now, it may have gotten better.
