I was unlocked and rooted with the alien build and cwm.
I installed from zip checked out the alien build without the theme then decided i wanted it so i rebooted into recovery and installed the theme well the theme didnt color anything in the status bar like the snapshots...so i again rebooted into recovery wiped everything except battery cache and then i just decided to restore to the backup i made from before i even unlocked it took a really long time to restore. After restoring now my photon screen turns on only when plugged into the wall the screen is stuck at boot and says unlocked at the top it does not respond to hard reset and i cannot rsd or reboot into recovery because the buttons make no difference.
Right now im leaving it plugged in while the screen is stuck at boot i just got home from work im going to check it in a little while.
What else can i possibly do is it done for?

Ok heres a little s/a. I have a samsung vibrant, last night i flashed my vibrant which was on a rooted vibrant9 rom. To bionix 1.9.1 w/ jacs oc kernal and the voodoo lagfix. Before flashing to the bionix i switched the boot logo and .wav file to one i perfered, i also did the same for the shutdown logo. Now, per the instructions for installing bionix 1.9.1 i took a nandroid backup of my phone on vibrant9 before performing the flash. After i did i flashed using clockwork. Everything went fine, the phone flashed, rebooted and was working great. However i rebooted the phone and relized that the shutdown screen wasnt working as it should because i forgot to include the shutdown.cfg thats required. What i did was took the bionix.zip off my sd card went into it and added the .cfg file i needed. I added it back to the sd card and figured i'd just reflash and all would be fine. Not so lucky however, i tried to reflash using clockwork (which took me to the regular recovery menu you would get to holding down the volume buttons and power) and it failed giving me an error which said "error on line 80". Relizing that the instruction said that if you had the voodoo lagfix you should disable it, i decided to do a factory wipe of all data (thinking that would definitly disable voodoo) after the factory wipe i attempted to flash bionix 1.9.1 again with no luck. After the last attempt i decided to just restore using the nandroid backup of vibrant9 i had taken earlier, the phone went through the restore process with waht appeared to be no problems. After it finished i rebooted from the recovery menu then bammmm. The phone is stuck in a boot loop. Its not a normal boot loop though the initial samsung logo will pop up for a sec then the phone screen will show what looks like tv static for a sec, it just keeps repeating this. To get it to stop i have to pull the battery. Ive tried booting into recovery by holding the volume buttons and the power button, but all that happens is the phone starts into the above mentioned bootloop. As a note whenever i plug the phone up via usb to my computer a grey battery screen pops up but it dosent charge it just sits there, and if i unplug the usb it goes right back into the bootloop. Also my computer will not recognize the phone so using odin seems like a lost cause. I read in a forum for this phone just a bit earlier that its nearly impossible to brick this phone. Have i done the impossible?
Well it sounds like you have hardware locked phone. Also you cannot do a nand restore w/ voodoo enable. That's your problem. There are threads on xda about recovering hardware lock phones. You need to search. If you can get into download mode, you need to flash eugene373's "Froyo that does not brick". Also, once you get phone working, isuggest you keep a disable-lagfix zip on your internal sd.

Great Success
Ok, ok after what seems like a million tries i finally got my vibrant working. After finally getting my vibrant into download mode (by removing the battery, putting the battery back into the phone, holding down both volume buttons and plugging in the phone via usb) i used odin to try and flash back to the factory rom. The flash worked except for an error i noticed when the phone was kicked into factory recovery mode to format itself. There i noticed that at the point when all user data was supposed to be wiped it would have a failure to wipe data. After the flash completed with this error i was able to get past the boot loop. At this point my phone would finish the boot sequence but after the samsung s disappeared the screen would just stay black. However, when ever i pushed any of the soft keys on the front they would light up. So what i did was followed the instructions in the above post and used odin to flash eugenes froyo rom that wont brick. Again the flash would complete but when the phone was kciked into factory recovery mode i got an error and it wouldnt complete it would just hang. So what i did next was use odin to again flash the factory rom and to my surprise it worked. So my vibrant is now restored to its full glory. I owe everything to the patrons of this community. Thanks all.
Okay about a month ago I root my gf evo 3d , she has hboot 1.5 so I followed the steps on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239821.
Everything has been working fine up until about a week ago , her phone started running hot and the battery would drain really quick with barely any usage. So my plan was to do a factory restart and full wipe and reinstall the rom fresh but when I tried to get into recovery the phone just shuts off , then goes to the boot screen then after the boot screen the phone just restarts itself. I even tried to do a factory reset from the phones menu options and the same things happens. The ways I tried getting into recovery are by using the shutdown menu options (hold power , reboot , recovery) , I've also tried rom manager and last I tried getting to recovery from bootloader and nothing seems to work.
I am completely lost PLEASE! HELP!

You should reflash your recovery to TWRP using fastboot. Then boot into recovery using fastboot. From there you should be able to do a complete wipe and flash a ROM. It is outlined in the thread you linked OP and second post. Feel free to come into the d3rp q+a thread in my sig if you need more help.
It worked thanks you

As a heads up to some of the inner workings.
All the methods you listed are correct methods of booting into the recovery. ROM Manager selecting boot recovery, booting into the bootloader and selecting recovery and also adb shell, reboot recovery.
The boot order goes: bootloader -> kernel -> recovery. Once you see the HTC screen or whatever custom splash screen is loaded, you know the device is now booting the kernel. At this point, if the device hangs on the splash screen or reboots again to the splash screen, something is wrong with the kernel "recovery" itself.
If you get this rebooting to splash screen or hanging on splash screen two or three times in a row, that should be sufficient to know, you have correctly booted the device into recovery mode and the next step is to reflash the recovery, essentially reloading it.
We can speculate on how/why the recovery became corrupt on your device, but in the end, these things sometimes just happen to no intentional fault of the user.
Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it does, hopefully this extra information will help prevent a bit of frustration the next time around!

So you mean, stuck at the splash screen(HTC with white screen) and reboot again and again is because of the recovery destroyed? My phone stuck at the splash screen for about 10 seconds and then reboot again and again. I have tried to flash many recovery images, includeing twrp 1.0.3, twrp 1.1.1, cwm-1.0.4, cwm-1.0.5, cwm-5.0.2, all failed to boot up into recovery:-(
Thanks in advance!
I attempted to flash MIUI.us V4 2.6.8 Atrix ByTeamMotoTegra today, and was almost successful, but I found out that I shouldn't have wiped the phone before flashing. I lost the touch functionality, and couldn't select my language. I flashed my old ROM (Neutrino) to try to flash back to MIUI, but still could not seem to get the touch funcationality.
After a few times of taking out the battery and trying to get the MIUI ROM working, I ran into a boot loop. The screen will not go past the screen with the red logo, no matter what I do. If I hold the volume up/down buttons, "starting RSD protocol support" appears, but nothing else happens. The phone just keeps turning off, then returning to the screen with the red logo. Any ideas on how to get past this screen?
i have a similar problem, i rooted and unlocked a friend atrix today on 2.3.6 version 4.5.141
it went fine and booted normally. i then went into cwm and made a mistake by not making a backup, cleared data cache and dalvik then proceeded to flash aokp. it booted but didnt go past the motorola dual core screen while still displaying unlocked. i can still go to fastboot and even into cwm as i have attempted to flash other roms after clearing all things out again but nothing is going past the boot screen.
any suggestions?
I can scroll through the other CWM menu options, but I can't boot up or anything else. Anytime I select one of the options, it will either just restart and go back to the red logo screen, or say I don't have enough battery life to flash. My battery is now completely dead and doesn't seem to be charging at all, even though it's been plugged in all night.
I know i read this somewhere in the original sl jb rom but cant find it anymore. i was currently running the new jb rom modeled after the ota update with the lgpnst. I accidenlty ran my phone dead for the first time ever. i now can not get my phone to bootup, it will show my desktop for a brief second than bootoff animation than battery charge screen. i can still access download/recovery/bootloader menu's so i wiped everything, tried reflashing, got the optimizing screen, finished , bootoff animation, than charging screen, so than i flashed the original sl jb rom, same thing, than i flashed the noctorunal 2.0 , same thing, mind you these were all clean wipes in between, they are being flashed because the boot screens change, so i really need my phone, im a locksmith and on call 24/7 i know im dumb for messing with my phone when i need it to work, but i have had no problems till a ran it dead.
Sorry i figured it out, through all my attempts, i figured out what i needed to do, i had to charge my phone in recovery mode to 11% and than i rebooted to system and finally got it to load. It would not charge on the charge screen for some reason it might have though in dl mode or bootloader. I hope this helps someone in the future you probably dont need to wipe and reflash everything. but if you kill your phone, plug it in, hold power plus vol + once bootloader comes up hit vol- twice and press power button, this will bring up recovery, watch to make sure its showing + next to the battery percentage. this may not work for all, but it worked for me.
My Rooted Nexus 7 was working perfectly. Now I am not sure If it is Soft Bricked or something else is wrong with it, It was charging one day and I took it off one micro usb charger and put it on another Nexus 7 charger. I went back and turned it on, Now it was stuck in bootloop, I have seen bootloops before, but not like this. It turns on and goes to the lock screen, then after a few second it freezes then restarts. I have been able to quickly log in boot into safe mode but it still freezes and restarts, I made it to the app menu once and then it sad , Unfortunately Launcher has stopped, I have cleared the cache and dalvik cache and nothing works, I have bootloader version 4.1.3 and CWM version 6.0.1.9, I have tried to format tablet and factory reset with cwm recovery but when I turn it back on I still see my stuff and I still reboots, I have tried to restore from a backup from a while ago with cwm but it fails. I tried to use nexus toolkit but I dont remember my version and I cant check, I gave it a guess but It can not find my device when plugged in, even in recovery mode, It said something about fastboot but i think i did that but I am not 100% sure what it is, I need to get this workig again fast.
