Phone won't boot up (rooted) - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I attempted to flash MIUI.us V4 2.6.8 Atrix ByTeamMotoTegra today, and was almost successful, but I found out that I shouldn't have wiped the phone before flashing. I lost the touch functionality, and couldn't select my language. I flashed my old ROM (Neutrino) to try to flash back to MIUI, but still could not seem to get the touch funcationality.
After a few times of taking out the battery and trying to get the MIUI ROM working, I ran into a boot loop. The screen will not go past the screen with the red logo, no matter what I do. If I hold the volume up/down buttons, "starting RSD protocol support" appears, but nothing else happens. The phone just keeps turning off, then returning to the screen with the red logo. Any ideas on how to get past this screen?

i have a similar problem, i rooted and unlocked a friend atrix today on 2.3.6 version 4.5.141
it went fine and booted normally. i then went into cwm and made a mistake by not making a backup, cleared data cache and dalvik then proceeded to flash aokp. it booted but didnt go past the motorola dual core screen while still displaying unlocked. i can still go to fastboot and even into cwm as i have attempted to flash other roms after clearing all things out again but nothing is going past the boot screen.
any suggestions?

I can scroll through the other CWM menu options, but I can't boot up or anything else. Anytime I select one of the options, it will either just restart and go back to the red logo screen, or say I don't have enough battery life to flash. My battery is now completely dead and doesn't seem to be charging at all, even though it's been plugged in all night.

[Q] Might have just screwed my phone. Any help appreciated.

So. I was on 1.4a of CherryBlur. Flashed the newest FULL WIPE with Webtop version 1.4d. Flashed using Tenfar's Recovery and it said flashing was successful. Now, when I turn the phone on, at the motorola logo screen, with "Dual Core Technology" below it, the screen starts flashing after a few seconds (about 20 seconds) and the white "Unlocked" in the top left of the screen is gone during the flashing. What the hell? I can still get into the recovery mode, but none of the options seem to help my problem, even the factory reset.
And a battery pull is the only way to get the screen to stop blinking and restart.
Any ideas? Could the download have been incomplete/corrupted?

Click to collapse
Hold the volume down while the phone keeps restarting. Then try to enter recovery and do a wipe.
Ps: are you on tenfars cwm or rom managers cwm? Only tenfars cwm wipes data.

Aye. On Tenfar's and wipe did nothing for me.
Boot into recovery and reflash Cherryblur. Sounds like your other rom you downloaded didnt finish or is corrupted.
As unbelievable as it may sound, tried this. Have 3 different versions of CherryBlur saved on my SD Card. tried reflashing the newest version (1.4d FULL WIPE) about 5 times and even tried older versions (back to 1.2) out of desperation. All result in this same hang at the motorola screen. This is one of the most amazing things that I've seen. Something buggered royally.

Random reboots and rarely gets past bootloader

Here's my situation, maybe someone will find it interesting or know what's going on. I was running the EOS Jelly Bean (EOS-tf201-20120728-31.zip). Everything was running pretty well for a few days, then yesterday the device simply powered off. When I rebooted it got to the splash screen then shut off before it could get any farther. I figured it was a power issue, so I plugged it in and charged it for a while but get the same response. Around this point I started to get suspicious and tried to boot into recovery. It got to "Booting Recovery Kernel Image" then powers off the same way.
So then I proceed to go into fastboot and fastboot works great no power offs. Through that I am able to flash openrecovery-twrp-2.2.1-tf201.blob and the virtuous packaged boot as per this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773280 as well as factory reset. I also tried a few other boot/recovery combinations and was able to make it into recovery. In twrp recovery I was able to install the latest Virtuous rom which got me back to stock and I thought good case closed. I even made it all the way into the OS and was able to install apps, wifi worked great, run the apps etc. Eventually the screen went blank though and I was stuck back in the same shutdown on boot scenario as described above. Now I'm able to fairly consistently flash openrecovery-twrp-2.2.1-tf201.blob, reboot, get into teamwin recovery, but now even that appears to be randomly powering off.
So now I'm guessing that it may just be bricked and is probably a hardware issue since the reboots appear so random, the unit was refurbished. At the same time I'm still holding out some hope that it's simply some boot code somewhere that was corrupted and I can flash something and get things back to normal again since I can still access fastboot and occasionally ADB and recovery. I've flashed from fastboot system/recovery/boot, any other thoughts or potential combinations I could try? Also anything I can do with those tools to debug it further and get more data on what may be the root cause?

[Q] Rooted RAZR will NOT turn on or go into recovery

As the title explains it, my Razr will not turn on. I rooted it earlier and it was a success. I flashed it, went into recovery in order to install a new ROM. Everything was going smoothly. Until it went to reboot.
The Motorola logo flashed on the screen, like it was going to boot up...then the screen went completely black. It won't charge, it will not turn on, nor will it go into recovery. I'm at my wits end.
What should I do????

Dead vibrant

So last night, my vibrant went idle as normal. Later i tried to wake it up via power button but nothing happens. i get it in cwm and try to reflash my rom but it kept aborting. I was on cm 10 stock kernal. I tried to odin back to stock but it still doesnt do anything. odin works but whenever the phone reboots and it has that yellow screen showing the list of "reformatting cache" and so on. but for some reason the "reformatting data" part fails. my phone just bootloops on the vibrant screen. is there anything else i can do? or is my phone just completely ****ed?

[Q] Stuck in bootloop and recovery vanished

Ok, so something seems to have gone very wrong with flashing my phone :S
I managed to get recovery working yesterday, and followed the steps in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/4-4-4-creating-rooted-update-package-t2933155 , to create a pre-rooted 5.0.2 image. I put it on the external SD card, booted into recovery and installed the flashable zip, then used flashtool to flash with the instructions (though I also cleared Appslog, Cache and Data to get a fresh install). This went fine and everything appeared to be ok. I then tried to get the Xposed Alpha installed, but after that whenever the phone was rebooting it just hung if trying to boot to Android. I tried re-flashing with Flashtool, but still got the same issue. Would boot fine the first time, but then any restart it would just hang and crash out. Tried clearing the cache from recovery, but no difference.
So today, I went into recovery, re-installed the flashable.zip, then powered off the phone and flashed using flashtool, just as I had yesterday. Now though, my phone wont boot. It shows the Sony logo, then a blank screen, then restarts. Even worse, it will no longer boot into recovery. I hold the volume down button when the LED shows, nothing. I try holding the volume down button all the way through several bootloops, nothing.
I've tried to re-flash using flashtool which goes through the process ok, I can hold the volume down button and connect the cable once its in the process of rebooting, and it goes through all the process fine. It then powers off as expected and I can just disconnect and power on the phone. But it's still stuck in the bootloop and I don't have TWRP recovery.
Is there anything I can do to get my Z2 working?
Update - Re ran flashtool, this time not excluding system, only Partition. It now gets a little further, going to "Powered by Android" and giving the purple wavy lines, but after a minute or so it just hangs and restarts again. And still no recovery sadly....
I think I've got it sorted...
Used Flashboot again to do a flash, excluding System and Partition. This time the phone does boot up normally. The downside being that my root was gone. Despite my flashing a pre-rooted image, it seemed to just put a stock image on. And my recovery is still mysteriously gone.
In the end, just to get things completely back to a stable/stock starting point for later on, I ran a repair from PC Companion. Seems I was in the none rooted position anyway so figured I'd get myself to a more certain position. At least this way I can wait for someone to come up with a root for 5.0.2 so I can root and get recovery back.
