So last night, my vibrant went idle as normal. Later i tried to wake it up via power button but nothing happens. i get it in cwm and try to reflash my rom but it kept aborting. I was on cm 10 stock kernal. I tried to odin back to stock but it still doesnt do anything. odin works but whenever the phone reboots and it has that yellow screen showing the list of "reformatting cache" and so on. but for some reason the "reformatting data" part fails. my phone just bootloops on the vibrant screen. is there anything else i can do? or is my phone just completely ****ed?

Okay so my friends phone seems screwed. I gave him instructions to disable voodoo but he got impatient and unplugged the phone during voodoo disabling. Then he did some stuff that I have no idea what it is. Anyway I went to his house and decided to odin back to stock
According to ODIN it passed, Then it restarts does a check and says wipe failed, but everything else seems fine. Then it reboots
As it reboots it just goes black. The bottom (home, menu, back and search) buttons light up and that's it.
Why?

Went here downloaded this file and loaded into odin knowing it wouldn't work. Once done I pulled the battery and flashed it back to stock and it formatted instead of saying failed and bam, fixed.
I attempted to flash MIUI.us V4 2.6.8 Atrix ByTeamMotoTegra today, and was almost successful, but I found out that I shouldn't have wiped the phone before flashing. I lost the touch functionality, and couldn't select my language. I flashed my old ROM (Neutrino) to try to flash back to MIUI, but still could not seem to get the touch funcationality.
After a few times of taking out the battery and trying to get the MIUI ROM working, I ran into a boot loop. The screen will not go past the screen with the red logo, no matter what I do. If I hold the volume up/down buttons, "starting RSD protocol support" appears, but nothing else happens. The phone just keeps turning off, then returning to the screen with the red logo. Any ideas on how to get past this screen?
i have a similar problem, i rooted and unlocked a friend atrix today on 2.3.6 version 4.5.141
it went fine and booted normally. i then went into cwm and made a mistake by not making a backup, cleared data cache and dalvik then proceeded to flash aokp. it booted but didnt go past the motorola dual core screen while still displaying unlocked. i can still go to fastboot and even into cwm as i have attempted to flash other roms after clearing all things out again but nothing is going past the boot screen.
any suggestions?
I can scroll through the other CWM menu options, but I can't boot up or anything else. Anytime I select one of the options, it will either just restart and go back to the red logo screen, or say I don't have enough battery life to flash. My battery is now completely dead and doesn't seem to be charging at all, even though it's been plugged in all night.
The Skinny: updated to JB yesterday, worked great! phone died. wouldn't turn on after charging, kept booting to recovery.. so decided to go back to to stock with odin3 and then re-flash JB.
The Problem Now: stuck on "Over Stock" logo. can't get to recovery, or download.. though odin does still recognize the phone in bricked state, it can't effect any change to the device.
is there any hope??
ferther more..
every once in a while it will power on into download mode, but odin doesn't seem to be doing the trick.. but other times it boots into an "upload mode".
well out of my depth.. someone help!
Google ezbase recovery kit and try that. Even when it's for the i9000 you can use it. You can flash to stock after that.
failed
it failed miserably.. now it shows the GT-I9000 boot screen as it loops infinitely. though on the bright side, download mode is accessible again though even flashing stock wont wipe the GT-I9000 residual effects from it. more suggestions??
Hi!
My samsung s3 mini just freezed the other day while I was texting. I lost my patience after 5-10 minutes and pulled the battery. It started up again, and now it just reboots, runs about 1-2 minutes, reboot, runs another minute and continues so on... I was running full stock. No root what so ever.
If it's to any use, I can't delete anything on the phone when it's running. Photos, apps etc... It disappears at first but when the phone has rebooted again all the things that I deleted is still there.
Now here's the thing. It won't go into recovery mode. When I try, it freezes at the first screen, no yellow triangle showing.
Here's what i've tried:
- Flashing another kernel with odin. Tried to flash CWM, according to odin it's succesful, but it's the same thing as before when I try to boot in recovery mode. I also tried flashing a stock kernel but with same results.
- Flashing a stock ROM with odin. Same thing. Odin says it's succesful, but it's the same ROM as before the flash.
- Factory reset in settings on the phone (yeah, I tried doing a factory reset on those 2 minutes lol). When I click the delete button nothing happens.
I've searched the entire internet lol... No one seems to have the same problem as me.
What can I do?
Big thanks in advance..
A couple days ago, within an hour of using my phone and everything seeming to be fine, my phone got stuck at the Galaxy Note II logo. Thinking that it locked up and reset itself or something like that while in my pocket, I pulled the battery because it didn't respond to the power button. after I replaced the battery and turned it on, it stopped at the same screen. After a few attempts, I tried to get into recovery mode and it only got to the download screen. After some research, it sounded like I could maybe flash the stock rom onto the phone and get back up and running. so I downloaded ODIN and found what I thought was the correct ROM and tried to flash it. ODIN gave an error about unable to find a PIT file, so more googleing later, I found a PIT file and tried again. ODIN tried for about 10 minutes and then failed. My phone was still on the download screen so I thought to just try the process completely from the start again. I unplugged my phone from the computer and tried to restart it, I think by holding the power button down but I may have just pulled the battery. once my phone turned off it hasn't turned back on again. It wont even attempt to charge when I plug it into the wall.
So I ask the people who are far more experienced with this kind of thing, did I unrecoverably mess up my phone, or is there something I can still do?
