I am using express vpn for a year and it is working fine on my nexus s and nexus one but it is not working in my galaxy s2 and my friends htc sensation.
Whenever I try to connect it promps me that I m behind a firewall. So I would like to know which vpn is best and working on sgs2.

So with this app ill be able to use my evpn or should I buy a new one?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I use "Strong VPN". It works in all my phones including SGSII and on my Xoom tablet.
Although I'm unsure of what the best one is, I use Private Internet Access which has an android app. Its not free, but I chose it because it was recommended by LifeHacker and a couple others. It has lots of locations to choose from.
It works pretty well, but on my PC it seems to make my connection idle at times and I have to restart.
I am already using bVPN it works very well on my laptop and android mobile, it gives me multiple connections with the same speed and reliability, you can try its servers yourself https://www.bvpn.co.uk/en/smoketunnel/

I've been searching around for this for a while, and haven't come up with anything google or xda or otherwise, however, if I am blind, enlighten me please
I am looking for a way to remote desktop my android phone (atrix) from my honeycomb tablet. Preferably over LAN, as I only really do it at home but not really close enough for bluetooth, however with bluetooth I could make do. Something like what the atrix can do with the dock would be nice.
Any Ideas?
Are you rooted? Vnc viewer on one and server on the other would work

currently using it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vmlite.vncserver

Here's a fun app I spotted a few weeks ago but didn't really get a chance to use it till yesterday.
I used it in Burger king yesterday as there was a smug looking fellow sat across from me on his ipad obviously using the open wifi, so I opened this app and killed everyone else's connection the look on his face was priceless as he sat fumbling around trying to get it to work.

WifiKill on ICS
I just downloaded the wifikill 1.7. On ICS FC, doesn't appear to work any longer w/updated OS. I'm running Android 4.0.4, kernel: 3.0.21+, cyanogen mod 9-20120608-UNOFFICIAL-otter which I love, this from seems well put together without any of the bloat.
Any suggestions on getting this to work? Thanks
I already have this app for about two weeks. I cut the internet in almost every place I go

Must Be Me..
I can't seem to get this app to run properly, I've tried it at a few places but it doesn't seem to do anything....I can confirm this because my own Laptop was connected to 3 networks that I tested.
whats going wrong for me?
working here
ics rom sense 4 and froyo
some ics rom doesn t have a fully working wifi driver so it doesn t work
@glenn
try to go to settings->reject medot and select drop policy+reject
the only problem on ics is the shoutdown
the phone reboot itself, maybe a custom kernel 3 will fix this problem or maybe wifi kill neeb to be updated
Got this app and it is absolutely AMAZING. Doesn't work always though:
Tried it at my house and relatives' house. Works fine.
Doesn't work at Starbucks though. Loads of HP devices come up, all with the same IP. No disturbance, nothing. D:

This got a parsing error.

I only posted a link to the apps thread, I'm in no way affiliated with the maker. If its not working post in the other thread you may get lucky and get some help......

My TFP is coming in tomorrow, and I'm stoked. I've been stuck using my girlfriends computer, so it'll be nice to use something other then my cell phone for internet and what not.
I'm not sure how torrent programs run on the Android OS. So my question is which program runs the best and what kind of performance can I expect of it being that it's running on a mobile platform.
Thanks,
Spartan

TTorent in Market, the lite version has a limit of 250kb/s if you buy the full version for 3$ you can unlocked the speed to anything you like. Also other than it freezing my tablet once an awhile on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (haven't used it on my prime yet) its a solid app.

Do you have the option to chose a directory to save the torrent in. I.E. a external hdd?
You can't save any file to a HDD on the prime as it has no USB port but I would suggest adownloader as its free and has no limit
You have two options for a usb port.
A) An adapter made by Asus to be plugged in the charging port.
B) Use the Dock. Which has a USB port.
And do these two programs work as well as a pc version?
Adownloader works good, no major problem.

+ 1 its the best
ADownloader works well, but I don't think it handles magnet links.
I'm currently using ttorrent lite and it doesn't cap me at 250. Never froze on me and it allows for feeds and automatic downloading :-D.
Tmobile g2x with Phoenix Blood.
Asus transformer Prime ICS with root.
aDownloader is the best one!
It freezes your tablet for some moments if it passes above 2-2.5 megabytes download, but you can cap the dl speed in settings.
ADownload
I using aDownloader and its pretty good. Sometimes i do have issues like it not actually starting a torrent. But other than that find a torrent with high seeds and it has no problems at all. Couple of advanced settings as well make it that bit easier.
Would be nice to get a tablet version of it though. Would make it easier and more user friendly.
I use nzbleech, I download the nzbs from nzbmatrix, download straight to my tablet and then unrar with unrar pro. This also helps with the issue of copying 4+ gb files making windows explorer crash on my pc

Is there a setting I need to change to be able to download torrents? I've tried atorrent, ttorrent, and aDownloader, and none of them seem to be able to start downloading. I use private sites, and don't have any problems with any other computers on the network. Thanks!
I've tried Ttorrent but had to stop using it because I had letters sent to me from my service provider about Copy Rights laws:/ I guess I had it coming.
aTorrent works well. It takes a while to access the trackers and get the d/l started. Any torrent program you use is going to fetch a torrent download. Their system flags when a certain number of them are d/led for certain ISP's. You can use certain programs like peerguardian to act like an adblocker for snoopers. The ISP's don't care about the pieces you d/l, but the torrent file. It causes problems even with linux distros and other programs that are torrented to save server space and traffic.

You are talking about newsgroup binary downloading. He wanted information about torrent. That's not the same.
But I agree, I prefer using newsgroup...

It wasn't from my ISP. A third party was informing my ISP that someone from my IP address was downloading illegally. In the letter had the torrent movies that was downloaded, date and time too.
Edit: I may have forgotten to set the Encryption to "Forced" back then maybe the reason why.

I have only been able to get video up by opening the streaming link via browser. However, it was too laggy even on a good WiFi connection to make it watchable. Not sure why. I tried it in 2 different browsers with no real luck.
The app is disappointing. Amount of compatible devices is really weak. I emailed them a few times and all they said was "There are too many Android devices and we can't test them all" which is really just a load of bull. Plenty of video apps out there that run on tablets, phones, etc. without issue.
Too bad considering the Flyer is a great size screen for streaming that type of stuff.
hate to say it but the stream works well on my iphone.... yuck. atleast I was able to get a free account
It streams great from my phone ( T-Mobile G2) but I can't place it on my desk comfortably
This sucks, my tablet has better specs than my phone UGH
Saw this video about android mirroring but wasn't too sure if it is useful. This cable will be going on sale today but I have not heard of anyone using a cable like this.

I guess one of the benefits would be to hook your phone up to it at work and pretend to be working on the computer while you are actually texting or playing poker. I dunno.
i used to be able to do something similar over bluetooth or wifi a few years back, but i have yet to find the program i used, and i will assume you would need to be rooted. its a cool idea in many ways, but its use i feel is more of a cool or sneaky factor.
Yeah, I am hard pressed to find a really good reason to buy one. Being cool is a good reason though.

Now there is Airdroid in Google Play. Free app that does not need root and is very cool. Works over WiFi.

The root method your probably thinking of is called screen casting using droid explorer. Pretty useful if you work in a strict office environment.
