Samsung Galaxy S 2 Unlocked

I just ordered an unlocked Galaxy SII from Amazon. I want to use this as just a Wi-Fi Android device, would i be able to do this with access to all android features (marketplace apps). Or do i need a SIM card just to use the device? Thanks!
If your using it as a wifi only then no you dont need to unlock it and the market dosnt require a sim, why would you want to do this though
I know its weird, but i have the money and i want something to replace my slow Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 and i felll in love with the S II at the store. I want to use it as a Wi-Fi only device for now because i don't use my phone very much at all and i don't want to pay for data right now.
Some apps like Whatsapp, Viber and other communication apps require simcard as ID. But you wont need any just for browsing internet, email, facebook etc. Android market doesnt require sim card too
Thanks a lot man! I was just making sure it would work like my Wi-Fi only Galaxy Player did. Thanks so much! I get it tomorrow, any ROM suggestions or should i wait till the official 4.0 update in march?
I would not recomend to use ICS roms yet if you want stable.
If you want just try... here is overview
www dot galaxys 2 roms dot com
I found good ones myself: "AndyX ROM", "Pure ICS".

[Q] Please suggest some websites for downloading App APKs to desktops

Hello!,
My first post on XDA!!
I bought myself a Galaxy S2 (G!) and really loving it.
Now that I want to have some apps on my phone and enjoy it , I have data connection and a bit costly and also wired internet has some problem to be converted into WIFI as well
Can you please suggest some nice sites where I can download the APK files of android apps?
Yes , I came across some tools on the forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542105
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539375
But I want dont want take risk of my google account and want to download APKs without making my ID out .
Cheers,
Guru
uhh dude, to be honest the easiest and best way is market. U can try other market alternatives like snappzmarket, applanet market, aptoide and blackmarket alpha. All will let u install apps without google account. Saves u from transfering all the time.

Make my phone look like a Samsung Galaxy® S5

I have searched a ton and cant find where you can make one device look like another to download an app from the play store.
I have a old Razr Maxx HD and want to make it look like a Samsung Galaxy® S5.
Can someone point me in the right direction? I know the dpi changes from tablet to phone if you adjust it but cant remember how to change the way G Play recognizes the phone.
Trying to download and get updates a hearing aid app called Resound Smart https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.resound.smart&hl=en
Someone in the Samsung Galaxy® S5 thread was kind enough to download it once for me but I don't want to keep bothering them for updates.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Best way to get rid of bloatware

Hi everyone,
I have recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 to draw, watch movies, edit notes,...
I'd like to get rid of some bloatware (I don't use Chrome or most of the pre-installed apps) but some looks useful (air command or anything to do with the S Pen).
What would you suggest me to do, to keep some of the useful pre-installed app and get rid of the rest?

Package Disabler Pro
Then it changed, and needed a plug in..
now I read that Package Disabler Pro+ doesn't require a plug in.
The professional version ( More expensive version ) I REMEMBER just turned off time on your display etc.
I used it on my S2, I don't have a S3, I don't have a Samsung anymore. No idea if it works for S3. Careful on using it. No root required. I could turn off about 100 things! and once I turned off the Samsung touch wiz? or something to do with the Launcher.. I had to re-install the OS again

Hi Mr Nice Guy!
I have read about Disabler Pro while searching on the forums. I guess I will give it a try. Thank you for the help
