Did it show that your device is connected??
Check if it detected device, and if it's sync with update server correctly.
Hey guys,
I have been looking evryone for this problem and cant find the solution, hell i even asked my Provider but they couldnt help me either.
In a nutshell my X10i (Android 1.6 Vodafone) Wont recognize my PC (windows Vista latest, 32 Bit).
I plug in the USB cable and it wont show a usb connected in the notification bar, however the notification light turns green.
When i try to connect my device to PC Companion it wont register the phone or locate its there.
I even tried to update the phone using SEUS but it wouldnt recognise it whilst in the "hold back" menu.
I have already tried these but they havent solved the problem;
-uninstall SEUS and PC Companion
-Reinstall SEUS and PC Companion
-change USB ports
-Change USB cable
-Checked and Unchecked USB Debugging
-change computer (still no help)
-I cant find anything in device manager
The problem seemed to have arisen when i reflashed the phone, using SEUS Repair, because i had forgotten the patern lock.
I really want to flash Official 2.1 or the AOSP rom!!!
Any solutions?
Thanks in Advance
EDIT: Everything else works fine in the phone

Hey guys, in need of urgent help.
Last night i went and installed xrecovery onto my x10. This was to allow me getting free x10 2.2.1 which i did, and i got the hotfix's and they also where fine
But heres the problem...
Didnt know if Darkys Gingerbread 2.3.1 would work for me, but i thought it would b as simple as just reinstalling/unzip the freex10 2.2.1 via xrecovery if my phone wouldnt boot. I was wrong!!!
My phones current state is sitting at the main Sony Ericsson Logo on start up. I have tried to put the phone into safe mode. Connected to the PC and no light appears. The PC sees there is a phone connected but the SD card is not seen. i have a dongle which my SD card plugs into, but i just need help...
Question - What can i do to resolve this stupidity and get my phone working properly again?
Cheers,
Jonny
I havent installed what you have but i have that happen to me before where it just hangs on the se logo
was very frustrating
all i done was use se update service software to basically reinstall the se 2.1
version...
so if everything else failed, give that a shot. it worked for me

Sorry, i should have said that my PC sees the phone but i cant connect to the pc because i need to use the notification bar/connect USB...which i can't get to.. am i doing something wrong?
make sure you download Sony Ericson Update Service for your pc
to connect to that, you should switch your phone off, then hold in the back button while you plug the usb into ur phone...
the software shows you how to do this.
My phone didn't go past the se logo, and didnt want to connect either... but it connected to the update service which let me reinstall the original 2.1
This worked thanks a bunch!!
As per my understanding, we cannot brick the phone till the boot loader is cracked. You mess anything with the phone when flashing or when using xRecovery incorrectly, all you need to do is connect the phone in flash mode to your PC and update using Sony Ericsson Update Service or PC Companion and you will get the stock SE Rom back, and you will be ready to mess it up again
So i was running Tripnmiui and on baseband .54 and firmware 435?
and I wanted to update to the new SE Gingerbread, So i connected my phone to my computer and ran the update through the SEUS (PC companion). And it installed the update. But when i turned on my phone it kept boot looping the Sony ericsson logo..
I think i bricked my phone..
Anyone know how to unbrick it or fix it from here? with a possible tutorial?
By the way my battery is pretty low on my phone so i only have one shot.
Thanks you guys!!
Yea, Use the SEUS/PC Suite tool. Go to Update phone and search for the repair link. Connect the phone in flash mode and it ll get you back to stock.
Edit:
I would charge the phone first though, for at least like an hour.
U ran update through seus or pc companion??
Btw,try repairing it with seus again.

Cant mount the phone therefore i can't Connect to SEUS
Okay follow these specific instructions (I went through the same thing yesterday when I tried to update to the new Iris ROM)
Connect the phone to your comp and start PC Companion
At the PC Companion Home Screen click on the Start button in the Support Zone Tab
Click start again under the Phone Software Update section
A message that the PC companion could not find the phone will pop up.
Click on the repair phone link there and wait.
It took almost 20 mins but my phone unbricked to Stock 2.1
Xperia S is certainly one of the best phones i have had. Nevertheless nothing is perfect as i have currently quite a big problem with it.
When i try to connect to PC through USB PC Companion do not recognize the phone and suggests rebooting the phone, which does not help.
When i try to connect through Wi-Fi it also does not work - after several tries - uninstalling and installing my PC as a trusted device it connected a few days ago, but now the connection does not work at all.
What is more - after any attempt to connect through USB i noticed that several apps which i moved to SD have been corrupted - only installing them again from Google Play helps.
Anyone had a similar problem, or know how to deal with it?
My FW is 6.0.A.3.73
My PC Companion ver is 2.10.053

Hi,
Check if you have enabled scanners and camera. If so then disable them and then connect the phone PC companion will recognize it. It worked for me. Let me know if it not works.
