what exactly consists of a full wipe? i learned originally to wipe data/factory reset and cache but alot of roms have special ways to install their roms like also wiping dalvik cache and stuff. so what exactly consists a full wipe?
A full wipe would be clearing dalvik cache, cache partition & data/factory reset.

Clean Dalvik cache is as simple as booting into CWM recovery advanced wipe dalvik

Wiping the dalvik cache will do nothing to your phone. It's completely useless to wipe dalvik cache. My advice would be that you don't even try the things you are talking about.
Can i clean dalvic cach in my atrix with stock android 2.3.4 with titanioum backup or i have problems?Only clean i want nothing ealse.Or can i clean anything else in order to work properly?
If you're rooted, you can wipe dalvik cache without a problem.
So many answers but what is now an real Full Wipe?
As per my knowledge,
Full Wipe means, cleaning the old ROM information in the mobile.
If you want to know the process for Full wipe, you can check it here.

Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Mounts and storage:
Format System
Format Data
Format Cache
Advanced:
Wipe Dalvik cache
Wipe battery stats
Fix permissions
Flash something
That's what I normally do with a full wipe

Just reboot into recovery (custom kernel not stock recovery) and use the Wipe data/factory reset option. You can also do extra wipes like described above if yo wish but in most cases just the wipe data/factory reset will suffice.
Is there a way to wipe the Dalvik cache after switching to ART? I went to go wipe it in TWRP but it just redrew all the apps like it did when I first switched over to the new runtime.
Hello
is it true that after a new system update you should wipe the cache partition?
Thanks

It is not necessary to wipe cache partition and dalvik cache but I recommend you to wipe those cause The updated system is not totally optimized and the consequences will be some freezing and lag when you open apps. So The best choice would be wiping cache and data partition. And let the phone like new. A backup is necessary when you wipe data.
