My frnd having Xperia X10 Mini and he wants to install CM7 (link).
He have original android v2.1 stock ROM with root & CWM recovery installed but can't able to find perfect tutorial to install this cm7.
He afraid of bricking his phone as he saw here.
Please, help him to get the right tutorial as he & I are noobs ...
And tell also that what are the others steps he have to do before flashing???
Follow the tut of CMW 3 there is no mistake.

hi everyone im new to this site but have known about it for a while, i have an x10 mini pro and have seen software upgrades to make it run android 2.3 but i dont know how to do this ,could somebody help me step by step(if you have time) tell me how to do this. i followed some instructions tonite but messed up.

If you check x10mini development you should be able to find the flashtool from binary, it roots and flashes roms for the whole xperia range.

can somebody explain to me if its posible to install recovery on a xperia mini pro sk17i, and if its posible how do i install it?

i do not have mini pro but i think taht is the same as with ray you need too root the phone:

Is the bootloader on your mini pro unlocked or not? You cannot root it unless it is.

allready unlocked bootloader and rooted phone with [FIRMWARE][4.0.A.2.368][Mini Pro][SK17i][MANGO] Official Firmware + ROOT solution

I'm not sure its the first time i have seen that.
dude just used uot kitchen and installed it on my phone, allready half a day using it no problems yet, (only changed battery icon and fonts)
ps: how long should it take to turn the screen on once you press the home or power key from idle when the screen is off???
This post is old, but just to inform some curious noob guy (like me ), there a way to instal cwm recovery to any xperia, search on Play: Xperia CWM Auto-Installer

first you must root you device
then install recovery
after that you have recovery.

mine was rooted by me directly after buying. But I still use the stock ROM, so if you move to the devices settings, applications, manage applications (I assume they are called like this, 'cause I am German *G*). There I got an original stock option to move the app to my sdcard. This does not work for every app, especially not for system apps.

I want to install MiniCM7 Pro - V16 on my wifes x10 without bricking it hopefully.
Can you please refer me to a guide that explains how to proceed for flashing the device that now is running stock 2.1 .
Is it possible to go back to stock rom if i want to flash back?

I was a little confused because in the mini cm7 thread is written NOT SUPPORTED x10 mini pro,which is the phone i have.
So how must i proceed? What is the first thing to do?

There is no official update other than 2.1 eclair.

best way to get ics on your device is go to xperia x8 section choose the rom and download nAa ics 04 kernel after that you will get taste of real ics. the w8 and x8 are the same so you will be able to install it.
