Hi, I´ve just finished flashing OPENOPTIMUS Rom on my LG Optimus 1. I follow to the letter every instruction even the SD partitioning to be able to use a2s but moving apps to SD would not work.
Not with app manager, not with Ti backup, not with AntTek Explorer.
Any suggestions how to overcome this issue?
Help please!
Regards.
Are you using darktremor or ungaze? If your using DT (and I recommend this). Just reparation a 512mb than 0mb swap, let CWM do its thing than reboot and try looking in the first menu or titanium backup and you will see a2sd under sdcard, congratulations you have 2 parts on sdcard than download a2sdgui from market and configure to your liking Ohh and make sure you backup the contents of your sdcard as partitioning will wipe everything

Thanks, I´ll flash Darktremor as soon as I have the time and let you know what happened!
Regards.
Just go to terminal emulator and type
Su - a pop up asking superuser permission will come accept it. .
Now type a2sd cachesd
Darktremor script will be activated ..
Do a nand backup before experimenting all d best!

After working fine for a day, suddenly a2sd crashed... But according to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715940, beta versions are giving some troubles, so I´m going to try out the last official release 2.7.5.2-1. (You´ll find the link to download it in the same post).
Good luck to us both!!

I have a problem with miniCM RC2
After moving an app to sd (with native froyo) and rebooting i can't see it anymore between my apps but if i go to installed apps i see it there in sd
Since i just wanted native app2sd i used
adb shell touch /data/.noapp2sd
adb shell touch /data/.nodalvik2sd
adb reboot
Is this the problem?
Anyone experienced something similar?
Thanks
ps I also tried to wipe\formatc cache but after that when i try to move an app2sd i get an error 'not enough space'

Hi all...
I have a problem when i try to install any app on my phone, when is supposed that the installation is finished the phone freeze and reboot in boot animation... i think that could be a problem with darktremor's a2sd.. i try to install swype installer, carrier name and YouTube and with all of them i get the same error, is not the first time... but my other solution was flash newly the rom ....
Can somebody help me?

Hi. I`ve just started using this rom(the a2sd version) and i checked in terminal if a2sd is running with the a2sd check and it told me that the ext partition has been found but it`s not mounted, also stating that i may be using a ext4 partition(made with cwm) not supported by the rom. Have i done something wrong? Is there anyway i can fix this without going back to ext 2/3? Any help is appreciated.
Just use move2sd enabler ...no partition required too.simple n kewl ..check through iridium thread I have given links n steps in one of the posts recently..

I have tried the reinstall a2sd script steps and it works flawless now. Thx for the the tip anyway. I will keep it in mind in case anything happenes.
Im making this thread because I havent seen any other threads with the similar topic, maybe some more advanced users can spread there knowledge around about a2sd scripts or the like.....Ill share my experiences
Recently I wanted to give the new rom by neko95 (Razr-UI and GTR 6.0)....With Razr UI, I flashed the rom than went directly into recovery, partitioned the sdcard for 512mb and 32mb swap size, than for safety precautions, I rebooted into recovery and went ahead with flashing darktremor a2sd script, than I rebooted again....It took some time b4 it booted up but once it did, everything started force-closing, the entire UI was force-closing. I than tried once more with a clean wipe on everything, fresh install of the rom, re-partitioned the sdcard and attempted with using Ungaze, this time it never booted to UI, it just continued to bootloop with sound.....
I generally use S2E, as I feel it's moving everything to sdcard and free's up my phone internal space and allows for maximum applications, occasionally I will use ungaze and in which case I use Link2SD.Ive also used A2SDGUI as well when using Darktremors a2sd script...
Could some explain in detail what ext2/3/4 might be, which is better to use...I know by default Cyanogenmod Recovery use's ext3 or ext4 while amonra uses ext2....For these roms that have a2sd scripts already, what is the correct procedure on how to use these scripts ? Maybe an user could give some detailed explanations as to what a2sd scripts are, and how to use them....Which swap size is the best to use, how much would you recommend using if you have a 2/4 or 8gb sized sdcard, which script do you think is better ? Ive never used a rom without wanting to use these a2sd scripts because well the phone's internal storage is so small and after 5 applications installed without scripts it seems to slow the phone down drastically....Let's make this a tutorial from someone who's an expert on a2sd scripts
to add on to what I said, some roms seem to have difficulty with these scripts, maybe it's the user in which case im pretty sure it is, but than again..with OMFGB i was able to use Darktremors with no problems
In such case please help me with link2sd.
I linked all my apps using link2sd but still after sometime my phone memory is full?
But according to link2sd all are in sd.

I wish I could help you but I cant, I dont know enough about a2sd scripts to help anyone....Ive looked everywhere for an answer and cant seem to find it.....I know one of your roms says in changelog that a2sd is included, but im not sure how to use it...S2E is simple, you partition sdcard, flash script (darktremors) than reboot, go back into s2e application select the boxes ( I check em all) than reboot, after the 2nd reboot, everything is moved to sdcard. I dont know much about link2sd, I havent seen a tutorial on that application or anything

i dont use link2sd but i was using in CM9 and something similar apen my memory was full and link2sd said the apps are all in sdext but they werent only some files so i link all again and voila... try it ...
and s2e is the best option for cm9 or cm7 ....
Do you know how s2e and a2sdgui are specifically for darktremors a2sd script? I thought link2sd was just for ungaze...I was wrong...if you find a tutorial on how to use and how to get the most from link2sd, please share

Advanced users might already know this, but this is for newbies. This method will help you to move almost all the apps you install to SD card and you needn't have any partition on sd or any a2sd script. You cannot move system pre-installed apps and also few manually installed apps to sd card like tasker, etc., but this method should give you a few more space than you'd normally get on internal storage. Let's get started !
Pre-requisites : Root, Terminal emulator, A pair of sharp eyes, hands to type and a useful brain
Steps :
1) Go to play store and download the terminal emulator app, it's free.
2) ENABLE USB DEBUGGING MODE.
3) Open terminal emulator app. Type,
su
Now hit enter on your keyboard. Grant super user permissions to terminal emulator. Then type,
pm set-install-location 2
Hit enter. Then type,
pm get-install-location
4) Exit terminal emulator. You can even uninstall terminal emulator if you want !
5) Go to manage apps and move the apps you want to sd card
Note : I highly recommend typing in the terminal emulator exactly as I've showed above with hyphens at appropriate places. Else it will not work you.
Enjoy !!

Yea, data can't be moved. Stays on internal storage. This method helped me on my card that started having problems after partitioning. Better than nothing at least...

Re: [How to] Move apps to sd without any script.
They say swipe partition kills your sd. The advantage of using this method is that you get just enough space for your apps and no partition is needed !

The method suggested in op works perfectly for cm10.1. For gingerbread, you may have to try the commands I gave above.

This can't be the fault of the method. Probably you have done something else wrong that has triggered all of this. Remember, try to keep vital apps meant to be on phone, on phone. That should do fine. I use this method along with the int2ext+ on my Rom here and I haven't had a problem ! How come you did ? And besides, what does a set install location had to do with system ui.apk ? Try again with safety measures...

So it doesn't seem to want to work for me either (phone says no space to install apps even though there is over 1 gb free). How do l reverse the step taken in OP?
Nevermind I figured it out:
pm set-install-location 1
