Today i have an abnormal consumption of battery and i see from cpu spy that deep sleep is unused and locked to 200 mhz.
I have not installed nothing particulary and i made a wipe of cache and dalvik but nothing changed
Use BetterBatteryStatus to what apps are causing wakelocks.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Adjust the settings of the culprit app(s) or uninstall/use alternatives.
Make sure you don't have any email syncing frequently.
Reflash your kernel if you can't find the reason not going to deep sleep.
try siyah kernal its really good and battery life so good too and deep sleep work without any problem and u can oc and uv the cpu
u can use stable version from:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263838
or 2.2 beta6 fromwww.gokhanmoral.com/gm/

Sorry if this has been asked before, but im currently on wolfbreak's TW 8.1 with Zkernel, i know theres underclock to 128MHZ but when i use cpu spy, i can see that most of the time its either at 1113 mhz or at 128mhz.
Am i not suppose to see deep sleep anymore? Is this due to the kernel or i have some application on affecting my phones deep sleep.
okay please close this topic i just found the solution to my problem... forgot to disable automatic time update..
Hi im having problemswith my battery. it goes dry very fast. before i updated my phone to 2.3.3 i used Advanced Task Killer but now its not working like it did before. any applications that i can use with 2.3.3 that are efficient like the Advanced Task Killer was with 2.1
get apn droid and disable 3g when you are not using your internet, always turn wifi off when not using it. root and use setcpu to make your cpu go to lowest speed when screen is locked

use battery calibrator software from the market and follow the instructions! Once the battery is calibrated then install CPU master anuntu from market and select the maximum 578mhz and minimal 245.76mhz with scaling on demand. Hopefully this should improve the battery life as it did with mines!
first flash a custom kernel like Doomkernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226826
then install a cpu manger like setCPU (http://forum.mobilism.org/viewtopic.php?f=438&t=214414&hilit=setCPU) or antutu CPU master
then change the governor to smartassV2
then when you are charging your phone charge it up to 100% -unplug charger- switch off phone- remove battery - insert charger - then the battery - then switch on phone and charge until 100%
use common methods such as turning off Data , WiFi, Bluetooth , GPS etc...
i got almost 3 days battery life by doing this !!!
I'm running unNamed and ive noticed that cpuspy reports that my deep sleep state as unused.... i was active at one point and i've just recently noticed this change. how can i reenable it/ what is causing it?
Go into CPU spy, reset timers, then put your phone down for about 15 minutes without use. When you check cpu spy you should see the deep sleep state used. If it is not then something is keeping your phone "awake".
You can't manually minipulate the seperate cpu states.
Edit: your phone will not deep sleep if it is charging.
Hi folks, I've been doing a bit of scouting and haven't been able to find a solution as of yet so hoping somebody here can help me. I upgraded to ICS a couple of days ago from 2.3 and since then my battery has been going a bit odd.
My phone wouldn't come out of sleep and i kept having to do battery pulls to bring it back to life. I figured this was probably to do with my SetCPU setting being too low (200-500MHz for screen off) so i disabled the profiles and it still was happening. Have deleted SetCPU altogether and it has improved a tad bit. But now my phone does occasionally go into sleep mode and won't wake until i do a battery pull. But when i bring it back to life my battery is 15-30% lower than from before I did the pull.
I'm running 4.0.3
Sensation Rom 3.5
Siyah Kernal v3.3.2
PDA version XWLPG
Baseband DXLP9
I've attached two screenshots to show properly what I mean. Scrolling through ExTweaks shows me that siyah kernel itself also can change clock speed but there's too many options there for me to know safely what I'm doing. I've done battery recalibration twice with no luck so far.
Thanks in advance for any help!
flash stock rom and root and reflash sensation rom by doing a full wipe
do a full wipe, and reflash the rom.
Then see if you still have problems.
Then install your apps again, if you then ahve problems, you know your apps are causing it
You can also install betterbatterystats (free on xda), that app will tell you which app is causing wakelocks
hi folks, battery life for me is a joke..roughly 14 hours with 2.30 hours screen time..thats completely stock, deodexed and rooted.. installed better battery stats and theres nothing draining it i can see..i have gps disabled, auto sync off, brightness down, location off..
thats with both a genuine samsung batt and a aftermarket one..
would i be best to try a different kernal..
You can try to remove all the system apps that you do not use or freeze them by greenify.
You can also try a custom kernel as dorimanx v.8.43 and turn down voltages arranging other aspects of the kernel through the application STweaks.
You can try the apolo kernel that already has versions with rated energy saving parameters
hi folks, just an update..
i installed apolo v4 regular and cleared the davilk cache (maybe this was the issue from the start)
now my stats read: - 23h30m on battery and screen on for 3h31mins, with 16% battery left, pretty impressed with that
maybe i can afford to turn the brightness up a little bit now, hehe
