Need some help, please. Recently flashed a sweet ROM, but lost the stock Visual Voicemail app. The one in the ROM is broken. By any chance, would someone have the apk file for the stock Visual Voicemail? It would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a rom on your sdcard that has the working voicemail just extract that apk with root explorer. Then install it to the system/ app directory.
Thanks for the pointer. Gave it a shot, but no luck. For some reason the stock visual Voicemail isn't in the other find I have.

Ok, so I can't post in the thread for that ROM. So, I have android backups that are pre flash, at home. I ran a backup on this phone. I will flash back with recovery, use titanium to back up the stock Voicemail apk, then flash back with the recovery ran today and install.
Pretty much sums up my own answer to my own question, unless I'm missing something? Seems like a stupid question. With a new days light on it. I MUST have been tired when I posted that. Even being a noob, that seems obvious.

That didn't work. Copied it fine, but Titanium just sits there restoring and never actually finishes.
Does ANYONE have the stock VVM APK for the Thunderbolt?
Never did get visual voicemail to work with the Rom. Changed Roms and it works fine now.

That probably won't work as it is most likely odexed. I will upload a deodexed version shortly.
Here is visual voicemail as well as the backup assistant. If you want visual voicemail then the only thing you need is VVM.apk, the other two are for the verizon backup assistant (which I find useful as you can add contacts on the web).

What VVM needs along with itself is the VZW login apk which apparently hasn't been leaked in a working version for 4.1 because the 4.0.4 and previous versions do not work with 4.1.x so I'm guessing we wait for the first VZW build leak and pull them out of it. Only solution for now.

Did anyone get this to work on ICS? I've tried backing up the original APK from the stock Sense rom and copying to an AOSP rom (thundershed) and have had no luck.

People say VVM works with RootzBoat (edit: had to remove link cause I'm a newb, just google rootzboat jelly bean) and the author in that thread mentions he has included various VZW bits. Is it safe to assume the VZW login apk is part of that rom and that we could extract it and install on a different rom to get VVM working again?
I would download it and check but for some reason I can't reach the server the zip is hosted on. Apparently goo.im is down?

If I read correctly you dont need that second SSO apk on ICS because it has. A built in APNfor visual voicemail. Each carrier just has to have their own vvm app and it'll work. I need to get it working on liquid ics tho. I miss it already
Check out my thread on getting Verizon visual voicemail to work!

Has anyone gotten their rooted MT4G updated in store? Do they let you copy the image so you can reflash?
I posted this on the wrong thread and can't find how to delete it/move it.

If you're rooted you don't need the OTA....If you want a rooted version of it use Generation X stock rom that's in the dev section....But if you want a rooted version of the sd update i have one here
http://www.multiupload.com/I7SYBR0L40
The actual sd build from the store is here

I never thought to ask, that but I doubt they would for some reason

Ace42, I tried one of the posted "official" rooted deodexed ROMs and it was missing the mail application which means it wasn't stock. Is your first link the stock ROM, just rooted? Thanks!

The 1st one is a rooted one and the second is nonroot and will unroot the phone. And the 1st link is based off the OTA of the 2nd link. It should have mail in it-I had the mail widget setup before, I had it when I tested the ROM the other day, perhaps wipe everything again and flash the rom again. If you check the zip file it contains everything, nothing was removed from the build, except myaccount since it was an older version anyway.

Ace42, thanks a lot. This rooted version of the OTA update is very different than the one I installed previously based on Football's release. Running perfectly, thanks! I was running Virtuous Unity, but the latest release had massive battery, wifi and 4G data issues. So far, so good on the rooted-stock version in your link. Again, thanks!
For anyone that can actually download the latest version of Wallet app (I'm on T-mobile and read about walk-around and it installs but fails to do otherwise)...
Could you kindly upload the latest Wallet.apk?
Thank you!
+1
get the f*** off my obstacle course!
You mean this one?
latest version identifies unsupported device. so you might wanna think twice before doing that.
Yep.. I get insufficient privileges. This method used to work until previous version if I flash the CM9 NFC lib then copy Wallet.apk to system/app, but obviously since prepaid card no longer works, I wanted to try if the new version of Wallet.apk would work.
So I guess there's no fix unless I totally go back to pure stock or someone else comes up with the mod?
I have Nexus S on custom 4.0.4 ROM, rooted and bootloader unlocked.

Pure stock might be an issue too. I'm getting an update popup on my wallet app, and when I attempted to use it yesterday, it didn't work. I haven't tried again, but there may be an issue there too, just a head's up.
Does anyone have a copy of the apk for AT&T messages 2.0.5.62 (Latest version of the non-tablet variant) After installing a CM build for my Atrix the app no longer appears on the market for me.

If it normally comes with the stock ROM, maybe you can just extract it from a fruitcake.

Unfortunately its not, play store only.
I even attempted to download it by editing my build.prop with AT&T related lines from another AT&T phone's stock rom, and tried the device id from a stock AT&T HTC One X (with PC based apk downloading software) but no luck.
All I was able to find on my stock froyo flipside was att messages that encrypts. I don't know if that's what you're looking for but if so, lemme know and I'll pull it for you.
Ah.
Well here's the app in Play Store.
Maybe you can use this to download the APK?

Older versions were really unstable, I was only ever able to get the last two(ish) versions to run on my Atrix. Thanks anyway though.
So I guess everyone has modded their atrix to the point where this app doesn't appear in the store?
Is it possible to connect to AT&T wifi hotspots at Starbucks etc. if we have flashed the GE rom put out today? I like how my phone auto-connects to these wifi networks without me needing to do anything and I want to maintain this in the GE rom if possible.
I've pulled the ATT_HotSpot.apk and .odex files from /system/app/
I'm thinking that after flashing the GE rom, I can push those files back to /system/app/
Anyone have thoughts on this?
Found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645535
So I'm wondering if in addition to pushing the .apk and .odex files back after flashing GE, the wpa_supplicant.conf file(s?) will need to be modified to include the attwifi settings.
I found 3 config files and they are here:
/system/etc/wifi/
/etc/wifi/
/data/misc/wifi/
The first two are identical and only contain info for "attwifi". The last one has "attwifi" plus all other saved network and pw info in it.
I guess I won't know till I try it but if anyone has advice it is appreciated
You'll only need the WISP Service apk, which appears as 'AT&T Hot Spots' in the apps list. That is what takes care of the auto-login to AT&T WiFi networks. Just flash the attached zip, there's not configuration or anything, it just looks for SSIDs like attwifi and does auto-login if it can. It works on any 4.1 or 4.2 rom.

OK great! That would be a lot easier.
Curious though, whats the difference between the WISP Service apk and ATT_hotspot.apk? Or maybe its the same thing?
Also where did you get this? I don't see it in /system/app/ (I'm still on stock right now, probably gonna flash GE tomorrow)

The ATT_hotspot apk is to use your phone as a hotspot (tethering).
I got the apk from an AT&T stock rom then modified it to work with 4.2.2 as well.
Ahhh that makes sense.
So I can just put the zip on my sdcard, then install via TWRP right?
Figured it out.
Works like a charm! Thanks!
I still don't understand how you got this though. What directory was this in?

Thank you so much for this apk. I upgraded my 9.5.8 version, which was working flawlessly on my CM11 KitKat ROM. Then I upgraded to CM12.1 Lollipop and it didn't work, so I found and installed your 9.7.0 file and it works great on CM12.1 Lollipop. Thank you!
Hello I am currently running the hyperdrive 9.1 rom that I love! The only thing is I would really like to have my Verizon Visual Voice Mail app. I came from the Jelly Beans 6 rom that had it and was wondering if there was an apk for the app separately or for all the Verizon apps? I still have an old Verizon apps zip file from when I had my S3 that I tried to install just for the heck of it and it doesn't work. Any info and help on this matter would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The hyperdrive ota app you can download the verizon bloat. I believe it installs all of so youll have to delete what you dont want. As for just the vvm file i dont know where to find it but ive seen it posted on the forums.
Hit thanks if I helped you out. Doing a little bit of reading goes a long way. Sent via tapatalk.
