is safe to install cwm manager? I am asking this because some people had bricked the phone..
Sent from my GT-S5830B using XDA App
cwm manager which included with ketut's cfroot kernel is safe to use. i think u mistaken it with rom manager. i cannot say the same for rom manager, while its reported to support ace officially, many had problem with it.
if I'm wrong here is this application[1] that people are having problems ... I installed the recovery ClockworkMod...
just to be clear, I'm using a stock rom..

yeah, thats rom manager alright. not cwm manager
so I can install it without problems, right?

DO NOT install Rom manager. It will brick your phone. CWM Manager and Rom manager is different.
You can install, but you cannot use it. LOL.
You don't need any of these apps man. Do it the manual traditional failproof way.

Why do you need to use all those apps, you can just flash a rom from recovery which is easy enough.Anyway, rom manager does not support ace,So don't use it.
CWM manager works perfectly with ace

Phone reboots on installing/Upgrading application
This problem began when I was trying to upgrade 360 launcher and now I can't install or upgrade any app without the phone having a fast reboot of abt 10 seconds or so.
Am running on [Rom] TheMyth KS3 - [ V1 .1 updated]
Any solutions apart from
clean wipe/factory resetting or formatting a2sd partitions. I already tried & it ain't working
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
If you already tried to format like that you might as well reflash. Definitely clears problems.
OK men am just feeling lazy to do that but it seems I have no other alternatives.

Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
Look, its not necessary but first flash official CWM(CWM4),then flash CWM5,there wont be any problems with it,but in cwm5,you should never rename your backups,if you do,if you try to restore, you will get a md5 mismatch error
i cant find any forums on cwm4 for ace D:
