Flash it via stock recovery ?
This should be the most obvious step ever
Herpderp Adreno + Tegra.

Err...i use stock xwks2 rom...working well with cf-root b84
Edit: flash cf-root via stock recovery...u will get cwm with it...1 simple step to get both root and cwm revovery...plus, u will get new bootanimation and init.d support

it works on all 2.3.6 rom? like dxkt5? il flash the b84 cf root?

should i root first or flash cf root first?

Guys! According to ketut, cf-root b84 should b flashed in clockworkmod manager & not in clockworkmod recovery.

cwm manager in galaxy ace

is safe to install cwm manager? I am asking this because some people had bricked the phone..
Sent from my GT-S5830B using XDA App
cwm manager which included with ketut's cfroot kernel is safe to use. i think u mistaken it with rom manager. i cannot say the same for rom manager, while its reported to support ace officially, many had problem with it.
if I'm wrong here is this application[1] that people are having problems ... I installed the recovery ClockworkMod...
just to be clear, I'm using a stock rom..

yeah, thats rom manager alright. not cwm manager
so I can install it without problems, right?

DO NOT install Rom manager. It will brick your phone. CWM Manager and Rom manager is different.
You can install, but you cannot use it. LOL.
You don't need any of these apps man. Do it the manual traditional failproof way.

Why do you need to use all those apps, you can just flash a rom from recovery which is easy enough.Anyway, rom manager does not support ace,So don't use it.
CWM manager works perfectly with ace

Rooting 2.3.4

Which method is best for rooting stock 2.3.4? CF-Root or the upd_1.zip?
Sorry for the noob question but can someone provide me with a tutorial for CF-Root? And which zip file to flash? I can't quite understand the thread thanks
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
both methods would root your device...
use upd_1.zip if you want to just root phone and nothing else....
flashing cf-root would give you different kernel pre rooted and for what it offers other than stock read its thread....
Thanks button hit.
