[Q] 8.9 3G email app flight mode bug? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My 8.9 running Honeycomb 3.1 arrived yesterday and I tried this today: switched it to flight mode to disable the 3G but enabled the WiFi, I can use the browser and the gmail app but the email app complains about being in flight mode when syncing. Does anyone find this odd?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - getting IP address and then reboots automatically

A friend offered me a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (no carrier). Two days later the tablet began rebooting uncontrolably. I took it home, did a factory reset, and the tablet did continue to reboot only when I try to connect to my WIFI (constantly "getting ip address"), which was working perfectly fine and was also the same WIFI that I had been connected to the first 2 days.
With my PC and my iPhone my wifi works perfectly.
You'll find a video at Youtube showing the issue I am reporting if you find for: Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Reboot WIFI Issue.
(I don't post the link because I am not allowed to)
Does anyone know what's going on or is having the same issue???
Thank you in advance!

[Q] browser issue on 3g network after upgrade from Samsung

hi all,
i have a Samsung galaxy tablet 10.1.
3 weeks ago i got a update pushed from Samsung, after this the default browser on 3g does not work. ( works fine on WIFI andon 3g with other browser )
when i try to connect to the internet i get a error " authentication via the proxy server was unsuccessful "
samsung solution was send it in and they put a new OS on it.
now again i got a update from Samsung, and again the default browser does not work.
any idea if i can do it myself to get rid of this error?
P.s. all programs running in 3g mode have a issue also, but then again i think they all use the browser...
thanks for your answer to help me

[Q] WiFi Unpredictable

I have a Xoom on 3.2. Stock build. WiFi Only. UK model.
I have been given a WiFi account in the office which allows me to synch email before travelling.
On Friday it connected and synched fine. On the way to work I wrote a few emails exp[ecting them to send when I synched in the office.
I arrived at 1030 and it is still "obtaining IP address from XYZ".
I've rebooted but to no avail.
The office I work in is provided by a 3rd party so I have no chance of having the WiFi changed.
A colleague with an Ipad is connecting without a problem.
Any idea what the issue could be?

[Q] Wifi icon not turning green ONLY on my wifi

I have just noticed that since a few days back my wifi icon in my CM7 nookcolor is not turning green anymore. Apparently the only related problem is gmail is not refreshing automatically. Google Play is working fine and I'm able to browse the internet.
The problem must be related to my wifi, because whenever I connect to my neighbors or my office wifi, it goes green without doing anything special.
I read google play requires an specific port open in the firewall, which is not open in mine although Gplay is working without it.
Is there any specific port or another setting that should be enabled in my wifi in order to my nook to connect to google servers?
Thanks.

Bump. Any ideas
Out of curiosity, who is your ISP? If you have AT&T U-Verse, you might have a mega router problem. I had one with my Nexus S and the icon wasn't lighting up green either.
It's a Mexican cable network called Cablevisión.

[Q] looking for app to turn GT into wifi router for my phone

I'm looking for an app that will turn my GT into a wifi router that I can connect my phone to. My GT isn't rooted. Can anyone recommend an app that works well? (I will root it if I have to just to get this working)
On my Galaxy Tab i905 (4G-non rooted) that is a built in option.
Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Hotspot
Click check box to turn on.
Hope that helps.
Yes, I found that now. Perhaps it wasn't in honeycomb 3.1 before I upgraded to 3.2
Thanks !
