I tried to downgrade my phone form 2.2.2 to 2.2 to root it because gingerbrike didn't work so i used kdz updater and it gave me error while in emergency mode and tried again but the same so I disconnect it and removed the battery and put it back and now the phone doesn't start at all in any way i mean no lg logo no android logo no nothing just turned off device

can your phone enter in emergency mod?if it cans, that means that your phone is semi-bricked, and you can revive it.

if your phone is in warranty goto service center they will replace motherboard or replace whole handset for you.
And they wont be able to find out any thing regarding custom rom or recovery if you have used also, as motherboard is burnt.

My O1 is dead. I'm gonna send it for repair but I have a question. I've rooted my device and even installed custom recovery; flashing several roms as well. When my phone went dead, it was on a stock 2.2 rom. Now for the question: Will they repair my phone for me? ^.-

It depends, I heard ppl that had custom roms and they got their phone repaired
Just don't tell them anything and hope for good
If something inside is fried then you might not be so lucky.
Oohh... Btw I managed to flash my phone's firmware with kdz updater but when I used the official LG application to update my software, it totally screwed up. Irony, isn't it?
Lol. It's good you didn't turn it in then. They would have voided your warranty. You can only go and ask them to repair it for you when the flashing chip on the mobo is dead

Mine was repaired, after failed on flashing a different stock ROM.
The previous working rom was the wrong official one but non-rooted
I got it back after a week with new PCB

I reported that my phone rebooted itself asking for PIN password while i was in my living room watching TV having it on the table in front of me. I tried to enter password but it was stuck and i only could remove battery, after inserting the battery, phone was not responding at all!
They sent it to LG service case closed, phone repaired ^^
Honestly my phone was stuck in emergency mode lol I did take out the battery though

If it shows some life signals, then you need to COMPLETELY BRICK it.
If it's completely dead, they
1) cannot find what have you done in it's software
2) they're gonna believe the story easier
3) they're gonna put a new PCB, so it's like having a new phone.
try and flash using kdz flasher use a stock 2.2 rom
press vol up + menu button and then connect the usb port to pc .
flash from kdz hope it works mine was dead too but i gt the phone back to life using the method and choose cs emergency while flashing

I see... I have another question. When I attempted to update using the official LG Updater, my phone was such in recovery halfway through the process. It was still in emergency mode but according to the Updater, I was asked to remove the battery. My phone went dead right after that. Do you know why it went dead?

Never ever plug out battery in emergency mode.... it hard bricks the phone....
I assume that u r not a mobile hardware engineer so there is no home made solution for it...
if ur device is still under warranty.. take it service center n say that the phone died while updating lg firmware... they will replace the pcb then

Have you tried reflashing with kdz, but using another firmware? Maybe you used a wrong one.
EDIT : i missed the part where you said it died. My bad.

this does void warrant but who knows that u rooted it when it will not even boot up.... do the thing the other guy said just above this post...
n I guess u don't like to mess up with your phone by trying to replace things by yourself... good luck..
and no. of days they will take depends on the availability of pcb with the service center..

Solution is only one..let bring it to LG SC if phone is unresponsive is easy for them to change pcb without controling if you make root or not..they don't cares about it..
But be sure that your phone is out of control it means that you can't be able to turn on..and is still off!..
I know it because one time I had flashed recovery through mobile data and was wrong way..phone died and after 4 days I had have my mobile back from SC..
Okay First thing is to give the phone to lg support center and don't tell them that was rooted before that I should ensure that the phone is dead

are you tried hard reset after using kdz because my friend faced same problem after using kdz but after hard reset my friend phone work like new
you can do hard reset using

Remove battery, replace battery Press Volume Down + Call + Power button. Release Power button when you see LG logo but hold the other two unless you see new screen

Using octopus box or RIFF box to repair boot. It's OK! I'll try and everything work.

What error did you see?
Can you turn it on after pulled off battery?
Did you charged battery befory?

I switched it off when in emergency mode and i never powered on again i removed and reinserted battery no use i tried with my friends battery he also has the same mobile. Its not powering on

LOL this was exactly I did when my phone was bricked. Lucky me, my phone's motherboard was replaced for free (because of the warranty). They said I must pay $200 if i was not in warranty
Ok guys so basically I bricked my phone again. Please read through the whole thing before replying anything.
So basically this is what happened:
-I had XperiaTized v7 patched rom flashed, everything working fine
-I tried legend 7 or something and flashed. It was pretty buggy.
-So I flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437426&highlight=recovery I flashed the GB one first
-I booted and guess what I still had legend 7.
-So I flashed Froyo recovery which was attached on the same post to see how it was; I was curious and never tried froyo before I heard battery life was quite okay.
-So I booted to find that legend 7 was STILL there. In case you dunno, the recovery zips actually overide CWM so I'm left with the stock recovery.
-So I was like ah wth and I used the file manager provided by legend 7 to delete some useless files on the sd card.
-So I rebooted and to try to flash CWM but it got stuck on the samsung screen. (I actually pressed reboot to recovery on the power menu)
-I panicked and I pressed the home button nothing happened.
-I held the power button to try to restart but same thing happened.
-I removed the batt and went to charge cuz I realised it was quite low after flashing the last 3.
-When I plugged it in the the screen lit up but I was not greeted with the usual power icon.
-I unplugged after a few minutes and tried to boot. The screen lit up a bit but nothing happened. I'm really panicking now. It's quite a new phone. Please help I'm like pulling my hair out now.
PS I know there's a way to get to download using the keys but I don't have cooper.ops cuz all the download links are dodgy. If anyone has the file please let me have it all the roms I have I flashed through CWM.
Help will be greatly appreceated!

As I've already mentioned I can't get the cooper.ops file and although I have kies enabled I turn on/off USB debugging as my phone cant even turn on.

now after unplug I get the samsung screen, the one that you see before entering recovery but it freezes there
Just a quick question. If I do send it to the Samsung Service Centre to get the board replaced, how much will it cost and how long will it take? Sentrax is helping me out with the unbricking but if I really can't do it I'll send it to the service centre

Maybe you will be billed for repair maximum the same price of new ace , if you honest to samsung officer. Or free if you said,bla-bla, sudenly my phone stop working (at the end you get oscar, become movie actor, kidding ).
What? Billed the price of a new ace just to replace the board? Might as well just get a new one!

As I said, if you honest to samsung service center officer that you bricked your phones because installing custom rom make your waranty void.
Imho, price of board wont far from new ace price, because main components phone assembly are lcd, board, battery and casing. You can weight cost of these component.

Can you enter dowmload mode?Maybe you can use odin and repair it.

Because, this phone can't power on into recovery or bootloader. Now it's dead. Can it will revive back if sent it to Service Center?

Well go to service center, i myself hard bricked my quattro :angel: while doing some kernel and **** .I used the classic one I went to service center & told them i was updating my phone using kies and suddenly light went out(I don't have UPS) they bought :laugh::laugh:
and yeah one thing are you sure that its hard bricked cuZ one day when i was porting rom the device went into bootloop cwm and i forget about it went to sleep then next day it was dead with no reaction at all so it might happen.can u tell me how did it happended

My friend said his got like your's too. It mean don't configure too much and phone maybe will dead with no reaction or something.

If its same suitation as mine than pull everything out of the phone(battery,sim,sd ......) than put that back in and let it charge for an hour(even if it does not show charging) than try to go into cwm if not than wait for another hour and do the same it solved mine :laugh::laugh:.
Install stock rom
remove evrything if you got right drivers it should be added in odin just re flas the stock rom of your region
