I tried to unlock my phone using the flash files but kept getting an error so decided to just unlock the Touch so i can use any network.
however i still have the orange start up screen and shutdown screen still showing .
Can i just replace these with a BMP or jpg image ?i tried replacing shutdown screen image via computer aswell but could not replace this as its a only a read file, the shutdown screen was easy to find but cant not seem to find the startup image in windows.
i dont want to flash the phone incase it gets screwed up with a error etc.

So I decided I wanted to change the font on my lock screen. I rooted with gingerbreak. I'm on rooted stock with no custom recovery. After I put the new font in using root explorer I rebooted. After rebooting the phone got stuck on the android screen. I can go into the stock recovery and do a factory reset and boot back up. As soon as the screen turns off or I reboot the phone it goes back to being stuck on the android screen. I discovered that if I use No Lock I can have the screen turn off and be able to turn the screen back on without it rebooting. Still, it I turn my phone off and on again I get stuck on the android screen.
I think the problem is that the phone can't find the lock screen and/or font for the lock screen and so it freaks out. I tried putting the clockopia font back in system/font via root explorer and it doesn't work. Any ideas? If this has been covered before please point me to the right thread because I haven't found anything like this.
Any ideas? Anyone...?
Reinstall using KDZ Updater, LGMDP or LG software update tool or install a custom ROM.
Otherwise spend the rest of your life trying to find the cause to the problem.
custom recovery first, lots of threads in v development section

It should have been a zip file when you flashed it. It might still be on your sdcard or your PC.
E.T. has some great splashes also

Greetings people. Here is the solution to those who are stuck on the ANDROID screen forever.
Click on the video link bellow to see how to boot into RemixOS first time, when stuck on ANDROID screen, by changing the kernel parameter, while in boot screen.
For making those changes in kernel parameter permanent, so that you don't have to type those lines every time you boot, follow this video link
(And those who were trying to figure out how to make those change permanent)
Hi there. I am new here. So, I learnt about build.prop and you know, I started playing with it. I accidentally made DPI from 120 to 240. I didn't notice it and once I had to reboot it and then BOOM. Screen is bigger and I was stuck at the password of the lock screen. I put it on recovery mode and started. The lock screen became swipe and I can open it. Nothing happened. The same DPI. Now I can't write anything on my phone because when I press to write, it says Unfortunately LG keyboard has stopped. Can anyone help me please? Thanks for reading the whole thread.
If you already have USB Debugging on and your computer is trusted or a custom recovery like TWRP, then you can use adb to pull the build.prop and edit it.

If you don't already have adb on your computer, then use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790 instead of the Eclipse ADT. If you haven't trusted your computer on your phone and have a custom recovery, then do it from there.
Thanks for your help
