Bought the phone on the 14th and everything's been working fine. This morning however my corporate exchange has stopped syncing over 4G. If I drop to 3G or wifi it works fine.
Anyone has this issue? Or can confirm their corporate exchange still syncs over 4G. I'm in NYC area.
Mine has worked fine but I am in Richmond, VA.
Do you have internet connectivity over 4G? Exchange working fine for me, I'm on the East Coast.

yeah browsing and gmail sync works, just the exchange sync doesn't work over 4G.

have you tried VZ phone support? I've spent an hour on the phone with them and had the phone and the SIM card replaced in VZ store, yet the issue persists.
So now when calling VZ customer service, the greeting messages says that there's a nationwide 4G outage.

Yeah they did the same for me when I went in to the store, no results, a friend is having a similar issue on his phone on AT&T.

Hey there in New Haven, I've had 4g youtube issues as well, but just started working around 6pm, check it out see if ifs working for you now.
youtube on 4G started working, still problems with Exchange sync
youtube was back up as of last night for me on 4g, exchange sync is still ok.
put my SIM into my friends BIONIC and everything worked fine. His SIM in my phone still have issues

Its my understanding that its part of the network setup.. most networks can setup automatically.
Ive got an Optus sim and a Telstra sim i have switched and it works perfectly on both after the network autosetup.
Doesn't seem to be the case with Vodafone. It's quite frustrating!

I put my Telstra Sim in.. turn it on .. 3rd message sent was a MMS to test it.. and POP it worked perfectly.
If you have to setup a phones mms settings in a phone in this day and age, then its not a good phone or network..
It should be automatic and part of any network detection setup.
Ive also tried my partners Optus sim and its autoconfig'd perfectly. And whilst not as fast in network speeds did everything.

download connection setup from the app store
its free and has connection setup from also all networks
First ,make sure your Atrix 4g rooted,then select the APN what you want to tether
through wi-fi, and click the button ,wait for a monent.

I don't get it...does this apk make the checking of the wifi tether disappear? As in disabling the status of att checking whether you have the plan or not.

Add the t-mobile hungary apn manually in settings/wireless &networks/mobile network/ access point.
then run the app and it will show up at the buttom.

I ended up adding "default,tether" to the APN type of my, manually entered, Rogers APN. This got the the tether working. Albeit it took a very long time for it to get the data network ready to use, but it worked. Perhaps the most disappointing thing is that the speed is ridiculously slow. On device, I get 3-6Mbps/380kbps, but via tethering the best I have been able to get is 500kbps/350kbps.
Anyone have any insight as to why the tethered speed is crushingly slow?

I was using the atrix hotspot in india on airtel carrier on rooted phone but now after update I have lost that function. Keep getting error msg to contact at&t to activate.

wow, that did it. thanks. do you know why that worked?
i was having the same problem of having to wait for a while for it to connect but just deleted the network on my laptop and then reconnect and it took 5 secs to get a connection.
im not sure about your speed problem, its def. not normal i get the same speed when using mobile hotspot on my laptop about 3-4Mbps/0.2Mbps.

In a word, yes. The validation check seems to be checking if the tether type is there. I combed through the sqlite scripts and scoured the forums, etc.
The speed issue seems to be resolved today; it might have been a network issue.
Installed root axx selected pelephone 3G and still needs AT&T ****..why?
hi all im having a problem with my S3
When ever i try to video call any one i get an error saying it could not connect and do i want to voice call instead,both phones are video enabled & connected to wifi ive tried different wifi spots, one in my house and one in my bro in laws thats just got a S3,he can video call me fine but when i call him i get the error
could it be a network issue (vodafone) or a phone setting ? ive installed tango video calling app and that works just fine but the stock calling app just doesnt work for me ?
Maybe your signal is weak, eg no 3g.

If I understood you right, you aren't using any app to do video calling, so what you are trying to use is 3G video calling, which uses 3G. You can't use Wifi with that.

I am not sure if this applies. but for us, to utilize 3g video calls you need to ask your operator to activate it.

no not tried skype but i have tried a similar app called "tango" that works just fine,last time i tried skype it just had a horrid green screen they said it was a ICS issue,have they updated it now to work ok with ICS ?

Skype is supposed to work trough any net connection, (as in wifi or 3g). But video call over 3g is different from voip services like Skype.

if the video call is made via your network service then you need 3g, if you are making a video calls with third party apps like gtalk,skype etc then you dont need to rely on 3g and can use wifi instead.
still not tried skype because to be honest i dont like the app , you need to be signed in all the time to receive msgs , in the tango app ive got installed i switched from wifi and made a video call using 3G , it worked perfect

hi, this is not entirely correct. Tango is a service app. Just like a voip service. So it relies on internet connection only. 3g video however is a service from your gsm provider. It will only use specific 3g service of your gsm and not wifi.
I must stress SPECIFIC SERVICE here. You may have 3g data enabled but may not have 3g video (or vice versa), also it needs both phones to be capable and enabled.
To check it you may try another Sim which you tested to work with 3g video calls, or try your sim on another device to make the call.

Well, I got it working finally. I had to create a new APN and use the same from my GT3100.
Seems like the default Cingular APN that was automatically installed with my ATT sim, just wouldn't do the job. I'm getting 7-8 mps download on H+ as well..... Not LTE, but good enough for me.
Since I've had the phone I've not been able to recieve mms messages. I'm using Tmobile and everything else works great. I have the Tmobile apn correct and went through it with customer support but still nothing. Any suggestions or am I just screwed with this phone? I don't mind using a third party app if it works. Are there any? Please help!!

I had TMobile on my Z3c for a little bit. There was a setting that I had to change from the reccomended APN settings to get MMS to work. I want to say the IPv4 had to be selected and not both or 6 under APN protocol.
I'm having this exact same issue but with AT&T. My APN settings appear to be perfect but I can't send or receive picture messages on my wife's phone. I've tried it on LTE and on WiFi. I also tried different messaging apps too.

My settings are already ipv4 for both. I tried toggling it to 4 and 6 and no change.
Same problem with t Mobile here. I called t Mobile to ensure all my settings were right. The t Mobile support then called Sony! Allegedly Sony knows it's a problem and we're stuck waiting for an update to fix it
What country are you guys in? I'm on T-Mobile USA, my APN protocol is IPv6, and MMS is working fine on my E5823.
Got my Z5c up and running. AT&T downloaded APN is completely different for this phone over the Z3c! Not really sure what T-mobile should use based off of how different the settings are.

My mms is working but severely delayed. I'm not receiving mms when they are sent. I am sitting next to someone and just got an mms from them that they said they sent 3 hours ago. It seems the quality of all my mms are poor also and grainy both sent and received. All my apn settings seem to be in order. And I'm T-Mobile USA
My stock messaging app still doesn't work on Tmobile USA. I've been using Textra and it works but don't get emoji from my wife's iphone through either app.

In the end, I had to call ATT to get mine working. We reviewed my APN settings (which were all correct) and then she tried "pushing an update" to the phone and it magically worked. I think they had something blocked on their side.

Sure - attached are 3 screenshots of my APN settings. Also, not sure if it makes a difference, but I am using Textra. They have a free version available so you can give it a shot.

If anyone is still having trouble with the mms on T-mobile using a Sony Xperia Z5 let me know, I think I found the solution. Its working fine with my phone and before I couldn't send mms for nothing in the world even after calling T-mobile and asking them to restart my sms/mms.
