Has anyone got DSP Manager from CM7 to work? I'm using it on Overcome 2.0.0 (HC3.2). I'm just getting FCs
I tried on Task's roms. Same thing, FC's.
Have you tried Voodoo sound control?

You need to have a kernel that supports voodoo sound to use that.
Yes but pershoots is rock solid so why not try it? That or enjoy your "stock" sound!

The title not match with your request.
So do you want for ics or non ics? I can attach one.
The apk attached are from ICS cm9, working in ICS beta. Tested by me. Copy it to /system/app & give correct permission. Extract the lib file, copy it to /system/lib/soundfx. Then reboot your phone.

Will try thanks bro!
AOSP 4.0.3 ICS BETA FINAL FIX has working DSP Manager and a lot of other things.

Google have the answer !! Has nobody google in his region?? Damn !
GOOGLE IS GOD!
and by the way this didnt work and the dsp in AOSP beta rom dosent work either. i can defo confirm it not working as i have cm7 on my galaxy ace and i played the same song swaping from phone to phone and ace made sound change but neo did not...... its not a massive problem as my music app "Power Amp" has a built in EQ its just not quite as good as DSP.
I have the same problem.
I flashed a cwm patch of DSP manager which is "work on any ICS roms".
Well it still doesnt work.
DSP manager is a sound enhancing program which universally modifies your device's sound as set by you...it has equalizer, bass enhancer, reverb etc.
^yep i guess if we want dsp in ics we need cm9 from fxp.
Just download 'equalizer' from the Play Store. Works just the same as dsp manager.

Yeah i use poweramp which has built in eq but its not the same.
Equalizer from the market doesn't have preamp...and u will notice the volume becomes low if u change different frequencies..
Dsp manager enhances sound instead of lowering the volume...there is no match for it.

this version has worked for me with official 2.3.4 ver .62 unrooted >>> hope it will work with ics
^Thank You but im looking for a dsp for ICS not GB.
works fine in ICS!!! Thanks!!!

Well i ahd been using many cyanogenmod based roms and everything works fine but not DSP manager.............only with the oficial cyanogenmod 7 works fine........anyone else present a bug really horrible!!!!............when im playing music if change a song the volume is turned to the maximun level!!!!! and well i have to pause or level down the volume to return to the volume i already choose............if someone can help me pls!!!!!
So....What can i do???
DSP manager 1.2 and above have bugs. Use versions lower than 1.2!!
I think those cm7 based roms use beats audio mod and a different(buggy) dsp manager(otherwise they conflict). So, I recommend that you use Official cm7 or untouched cm7 based roms(cyanmobile, gingerdx) + megabassbeats mod(which gives me an excellent sound quality).
Feel free to correct me if I said something wrong

It does when you use one of the custom kernels. DSP manager doesn't need to have a custom kernel though.

When I open the voodoo sound app it says that my kernel doesn't support extended sound controls. I will try dsp manager.
EDIT: I am using rjs kernel, the only one I can use.

voodoo is only on the 4.0 not the 5.0 you have to tell people which version of the galaxy player you have as that makes a difference.

Just my salt;
The best way to improve the sound output quality is named Jet Audio plus with BBE effects.
No need for added DSP everything available here.
2 configurable BBe DSP and all effects are ajustable. Just enter setting mode and adjust at your taste.
This a port of the well known COWON audio players.
Tested many apps no one is better than this because of its flexibilty.

You can always try this, this is what I use for my N7:

This is a mod touching to /system so please make a backup of /system before continuing.
If it's not working, try this: (it's included in the mod of the first link)

I tried Jet Audio Plus and for a free app, it's the best alternative to the paid ones. But in all honestly the Equalizer and other settings don't do much for sound quality. I often have problems with distorted and fluctuating even with low EQing. What I found weird was that Jet Audio Plus, made the music sound very low and when I tried to up the volume through the preamp, I got distortion. I switched to PowerAmp (with the same master volume) and it was about 6X louder with the same music and no distortion or fluctuating lol. Also I found that Jet Audio Plus bass wise is pretty weak, even with X-bass turned on (and no I'm not a bass head either). But as I said before great for a free app, but if paying go for poweramp or player pro.

Audio Levels for music and videos are fairly low on this rom for some reason.
I haven't been able to successfully flash Awesome Beats v5 Premium or Aroma installer.
Any recommendations on getting better audio on this CM 10.1 rom? I'm also using CRpalmers kernel.

Okay, thanks for the support and quick response
I seem to have trouble finding the music effects setting under the current ROM I'm running, K3. I really wanted to get Viper4Android running on this ROM as it's one of my favorite ROMs and V4A is my favorite audio driver. Please help!
