ODIN flashable cm7? - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hey is there an odin flashable version of a cm7 rom?

Nope. Don't see any.

why do you need odin flashable?
if you want odin flash stock rom and flash zip update..

coz i could not flash it through cwm even after followin everythin written correctly{tried different modems too}.and the only roms which work are the stock roms and MUSH69ROM i found which i could flash through odin

you can specify what type of errors you get while flashing roms through cwm so anyone can help you out for that

It goes uptil the touch android guy to continue screen and then switches off.On rebooting it does the same thing.Same thing happens to gingercruzt and MY-UI2

Still not able to flash a custom Rom.if i flash someone else's backup of a cm7 ,myui2 or gingercruzt rom through cwm do you think it will work and if yes can someone please upload a backup id be very grateful

I need help ASAP :(

I really need help from you guys asap, because I cant call or be called by anybody since hours.
I have:
A Galaxy S II, bought in the Netherlands
It was running the latest official update trough Kies, version KI2
I rooted it and kept it stock KI2
What I did today:
I wanted to apply a mod for CRT effect and Battery mod
I flashed a .zip ment for DXKI2, which is some asian version
My situation:
My Galaxy S II remains at bootup screen (Galaxy S II and yellow exclamation mark)
--------------------------------
PLEASE HELP ME
I have searched for any new .zip update to flash for KI2, but havnt found any.
try reflash with 3 files firmware (KI3 or Ki8 or else) + re-partitioning it (by putting pit file).. then flash back to KI2

Isnt it a problem that KI2 is Android 2.3.4 and KI3 is 2.3.5?
Empiric solution
I had a similar problem and for me solution was to flash the vilain rom 1.1 via Odin.
After that you pass the boot loop and you can reflash wathewer you vant.

But isnt that going to erase all my data?
I am looking for a simple solution.
What I need is an update to flash with CWM for KI2 (or KI3 so I can try it)
I have found an CRT + Battery mod for KI3 but its an apk file to replace wth root explorer, which i cant do. I need an .zip to flash with CWM...
The only thing wrong now is I have an incorrect Framework.res stuff aplied right? I just need a correct one to flash over it.
Anybody? ...
Lesson 1, always backup before flashing anything.
Lesson 2, search for crt effect for KI2.
Otherwise just reboot into recovery providing you've got cwm, and flash a non wipe rom over it, another 2.3.4 rom.
If you haven't got cwm, reboot into download mode and flash cf root via odin.

What was the zip you flashed?
Do you have a nand backup? (Cwm backup)
Do you have a titanium backup?
Edit: CRT effect zip. Might be as simple as flashing back framework-res.apk and systemui.apk from your original firmware.
If you give me more details of what you flashed I might be able to create a zip to get you going again.

I flashed this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1276647&highlight=KI2+CRt
I was running KI2, CEKI2 to be more exact. The Netherlands official Kies version, its also in the big official roms thread.
I have downloaded the rom again, so if there will be no simple solution like you may find I can reflash the KI2.
Just checked out that thread.
1st try...
Boot into recovery mode. (Volume up+power+home)
Clear dalvik cache.
Clear cache.
Reboot.
Let me know if that works.

I cleared both, doesnÈ› work
Edit: I put my sim in a old LG for now, have to go. Hope I can solve this after I wake up I really want to thank you for all the help, because I have spend hours today trying to solve this
Probably easiest way would be to flash intratechs ki3 (no wipe) via Odin. Then chainfires ki3 rooted kernel.
Hopefully won't (shouldn't) loose your data but will cleanup all the problems of that zip you flashed.
Good luck.

[Q]Stock recovery backup

Hi. I would like to ask how can I make my phone's stock recovery backup (just in case I will need it later for whatever reason) prior to flash custom?
Maybe there is already post about this and it would be kind if someone could redirect me there. Somehow I didn't manage to find any thread about such a subject. Thanks.

i dont think stock recovery can be backed up. But you can flash stock recovery later at any point from custom recovery as zip file made by ciaox http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065197
or you can flash by lgmdp also.

[Question!!] Restore stock?

Hi,
i've just installed the Resurrection remix rom on my phone but unfortunately the banking app that I use a lot doesnt work with it for some reason. How do I go about restoring my phone to the stock ICS and kernel... I do still want to keep root access, though.
This is the kernel I originally flashed it with
CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_LP7-v5.4-CWM5.zip
all help will be greatly appreciated
I should add that I tried to restore from the back up that I made in clockwork recovery but the app cant find it so I'm thinking the back up didnt work properly!
Anyone?

Using cwm wipe, if possible, format system partition, after that flash using Odin.
Learn how to use Odin, get file from sammobile, or check fus

Did you make a nandroid backup in CWM? If yes, just boot to recover, do a full wipe and do a restore.
If not, go to receovery, do a full wipe, turn off phone, flash the firmware you want thru odin. Let it boot. Power off again, go into download mode, flash a rooted kernel, let it boot and then flash the original kernel with CWMManager from within the rom.
Thanks guys... all sorted

Stuck at boot up screen

I used ROM TOOLS LITE and set up a boot screen that wont go past the Video image and i dont know what to do. i can use clock work but i accidentally wiped my card. if theres a way to manually do this please let me know asap...
IM USING THE NEWEST VERSION OF CYANOGENMOD 9 IM A NOOB AT THIS SO MUCH HELP IS NEEDED....
Do a full wipe and reinstall your rom. I hope you have backed up apps with TiBackup.
You can also try Restore from Nandroid backup in CWM,if you have one.

[Q] flashed rom with TWRP recovery and phone not booting?

Hi
I was wandering if somebody could help me? I tried to flash a liberium rom and also flashed TWRP recovery. Did a backup and tried to boot my phone and it wont boot? It wont go into recovery mode also. It does however go into Download mode.
Also, I have a nandroid backup on my pc but dont know how to restore it via Odin? Dont want to do anything further as am fearful that it might make things worse!
If somebody could guide me how to get this working please? I would be very grateful. Phone is S3 I9300 (International version)
Many thanks

Don't blame on TWRP, you might be doing something wrong.
1. Flash recovery via Odin, TWRP or Phliz touch.
2. Enter recovery to restore your backup, both TWRP and Phliz will work for TWRP format backup, or reflash the ROM /Kernel or whatever you flashed, better do a redownload, file may be corrupted.
3. If you still unable to enter recovery, flash stock firmware via Odin and use Titanium backup to extract / restore your data from recovery's backup.
