Hello all together,
i have a german Hermes (T-Mobile), that have a QWERTZ-Keyboard.
Now i am Using a english ROM.
The Problem is now that if i use my Keyboard, then the buttons have changed (Z=Y, no äöü, etc).
Is there a way tu use the german Keyboard correctly with the english ROM?

I've just installed swype 2.6.47...BUT I have kind of annoying problem.
I'm from Quebec..so we speak in french, but our Keyboard is QWERTY ( in france...it's azerty).
Swype doesnt let you choose wich keyboard you want... it takes the languages and if you select french, it automaticlly show the AZERTY one.
And if I choose American English... I do have the QWERTY, but with an english dictionnary. So if i write in french with an english keyboard... every single word is incorrect.
How can I fix this?
Anyone from Quebec who already found a solution?

Essaie ceci (je ne sais pas si ça va marcher avec Swype cependant...):
Paramètres - Langue et clavier - Saisie par défaut - Langue d'écriture - Si Français est coché, décoche et recoche le; il va alors t'offrir QWERTZ, QWERTY et AZERTY. Choisis QWERTY. Peut être que Swype va voir cette config et s'adapter dessus...

I also am interested in a solution. Kind of annoying, I have to switch to the default android keyboard to type in french.

The Bell Canada Galaxy S ship with a QWERTY-french Swype version. It should work on all WVGA devices.

I tried to extract the language file and repack it in another Swype version but it didnt work. I know that Languages from 1.X are incompatible with 2.X releases. I tried to repack a 1.x without success...
I know this is not applicable to Swype in itself, but you can also give SlideIT Keyboard a try. SlideIT let you choose between French (Canada) and French (France).
As for Swype, I just installed it, haven't had the time to test it yet.

Have you signed the new swype file when you changed the language pack?
Is it possible for you to send me the french-qwerty ".zkb.le" file?

Sorry if i'm resuscitating an old thread. But did someone find a solution to this? I'm not from Canada however I do speak french and I never use an Azerty keyboard.

I am from Québec also and I have the same problem. I almost solved it using SPB keyboard. It has swiss French which is a QWERTZ keyboard. Litterally, the only difference is that the Z and Y are switched. All other letters are at the same place ... Hope it helps ...

Hi, sorry for the delay but as you may know there is now a 2.X release with French Canada support.
Sorry for the resurrection, better than cloning
But I updated to 2.3.6, and yes, I would require the french qwerty keyboard which came with original Swype.

First of all i'd like to thank for amazing ROM!
But i have a question regarding T9 dictionaries in original (default) keyboard:
is it possible to make T9 work in other languages except English in different applications? I tried English, Russian, Hebrew, Greek, and there is no T9 in browser for example. It works perfect in the latest original release of 2.1 (by Sonyericsson), and as I checked with a friend T9 works fine also in Android 2.3.4 with Samsung Galaxy S II.
Is there anyway to make it work?

Is it possible to install finnish language on the android keyboard. ive searched but nowhere found answers!

I'm not Finnish and I cannot speak or read Finnish, but there are several apps on the market which say they are Finnish keyboards. I don't think there's Finnish on the stock Android Keyboard, so try these apps:

i have a french S5830,but i have flash with KPH ( that's ok ) and with a custom rom from north country --> problem: Now,when i select Azerty keyboard,i have a Qwerty keyboard!!!

You can install swiftkey keyboard which after selecting your language gives you an option to choose between different keyboard layouts.
