As you guys have probably noticed it is not possible to download files from file sharing sites directly to your android.. i've found a way around that download opera mobile(free app on the market) With opera mobile you can download files from filesonic or hotfile directly to your phone https://market.android.com/details?id=com.opera.browser&hl=en
Yeah, well. Dolphin works too, and any decent browser, actually...

downloading things from file-sharing sites have become a problem ever since Adobe stopped Flashplayer for android devices...i don't think I megaupload uses flash....but its so difficult to download from there...it just hangs

You have obviously never tried to download from file sharing services like filesonic, megashare, or wuupload.

Yea, indeed. He is a silly troll.
The only way for downloading files from the mentioned filehosters on Android is Opera.
That's a fact! And it's a shame...

Which Browser is for the X8 the Best?
1. Default Browser
2. Dolphin Browser
3. Opera Mini
4. Skyfire Browser
I use Dolphin and prefere it becouse of the add on. But i must say that i dont use many add ons probebly only one
So now i want to know which one is the best what is your opinion? and why?
Skyfire for me.
Default Browser +1
you can vote also and it would be helpful when you say why you prefere the default browser.
I just have a question to whom who use dolphin! when i use the back botton to exit they always ask to clean or minimize or close the browser! i would prefere closing without asking is this possible?
Its no problem to me just clear cache to clear memori

when it detects embedded flash it converts it to HTML5 and sends it to your phone.
when i tried it, some times it worked some times in failed depends on skyfires servers.
For me Opera Mini 6 for daily browsing especially Mippin.com and sometimes Opera Mobile 11.

you can find dolphin mini in market, it's free, and difference? it's liter version than normal dolphin, doesn't have annoying advanced options and toolbars that fill your whole screen, try it, and decide, and also have gesture feature, witch are very useful while browsing...
my second choice is skyfire because of semi-fake flash player

Definitely Opera Mobile 11, but for flash - Skyfire
Dolphin Browser (not mini nor hd)
Simple, fast, with tabs, tab preview, google bookmark sync and friendly as default browser with all its functionnality included.
for me , the best is native browser

You can watch live streaming !!!!!
Hi,
thanks for the app !
With this app, you can watch live streaming !
Yestersay, i have saw San Antonio - Memphis on streaming with my phone ( in 3G ) !
If you want to test :
go on myp2p or http://www.rojadirecta.es/.
For example, go to : http://www.rojadirecta.es/goto/play....gd/BZzvNC&autostart=true&stretching=exactfit.
On this page, click on Video ( ( down bar of skyfire ) the page may is white as if it's not loaded ).
Wait, and click on video who appears.
Watch your match
You may need video licence for that work, but the licence is free for 3 day.
It's time to test !
PS: If skyfire work only for google reach; click on icon half android / half screen of computer ( at right of the icon who open all tab ) and choose android.
Try again
Sorry for my bad English !
Hum, I tried this yesterday but gave up cuz on my mini pro the favorites button caused a FC, but since it appears to be able to playback video, I might just have to make this one my default browser

To have the favourites button work you need the stock browser (the stock one in the custom roms work as well) installed as well as it uses that somehow for your favourites and history etc

Any way to turn the screen off during playback? I use some flash streaming audio, so dont need to see anything, and it eats battery. Also has anyone worked out how to tick the parental lock option in bbc iplayer?

Bolt Browser is a light weight web browser, its been out for ages on Blackberry and a few other devices that can use java apps, it's a bit similar to Dolphin HD. When I was using it on my Blackberry Curve before I switched to Android it would crash all the time, but I used to persevere with it because it was the only way to get the full Facebook and Twitter sites on Blackberry.
It might be worth downloading. I'll download it and test it and report back if it is worth downloading or not.
Roland
It's a little laggy for me, but that could be due to it being in Beta atm. well worth a download though.
Roland
I am using this browser, somehow it opens much faster pages than opera mini and has its own IP server.

I am currently using the stock and the Opera mobile, looks like the former got too many bugs least of which is that can't locate my device for attachments and also doesn't show certain links.
On the other hand the Opera seems stopped supporting Adobe Flash player so no plug ins.
Any browser out there that can do all of this without problem?, thanks.

I find Boat to be the most functional, lightest, and quickest.
Before I just use Dolphin HD but now after all the Mobile and desktop bookmarks are sync I just go all the way Google Chrome
Using Maxthon browser for almost 8 months now, won't ever change it, it is the best browser for me, try it.
Maxthon,ok will give it a try, still couldnt find the perfect one..hope this one is better.
I tried Chrome, but for some reason it feels really laggy on the Note. It worked fine on SGS2 and GNex. So I'm just using stock, I hate the tab management but at least it works fine. Anyone have any browser with desktop/tablet style tabs?

It does work but you need to download a browser that will support the flash plugin. Since flash player is no longer supported the browsers on the phone dont support the plugin. Go to the market and download Dolphin browser.
Forgot to add that if you use Dolphin browser you need to go into the settings...web content...and turn flash on.
Firefox works too but it takes up much more space.
thanks will try that.

No Chrome for Android doesn't support flash they have switched to HTML5 since flash ended android support. All the new phones and upcoming phone browsers wont support flash plugin. You need to download a browser from the market that supports flash like Dolphin, Firefox, etc.
