hey i want to start developing roms but the problem is iam a noob any guide or anyone help me by chatting ?
bump
Open mspaint, fill a few pngs with dark blue, save and publish with some cool words like elite, premium, extra, bug free, superfast. Symbols, caps and bold at your discretion.
If you have to ask how to "develop" ROMs, rather than being able to find these things on your own, chances are you're not going to be able to contribute anything worthwhile.
Using the search button is always a good option...
Simple answer?
Learn to code. The reason I won't even consider becoming a developer is the fact that learning code takes years, I don't have the time nor willpower to learn. I'm happy enough flashing ROMs and getting on with other things while the devs do what they do.
Thanks devs. Thevs.
Start off by doing simple softmodding

Hey guys! I'm new to the forums, although XDAForums has helped me a lot before, thanks for that!
Anyway, I'm looking for developers, specially programmers interested in joining my small team of devs for a new and innovative concept on an android launcher, something very different from what has been done so far.
We have a few artists already, and conceptualists(such as myself), but programmers seem to be the hardest thing to find, and I know exactly why.
At the moment I don't want to show anything in this thread, however, if someone would like to join, I'd share all the details on what we want to achieve.
This would be a free-time project, however, if you're like me then you can put as much time as you want into it, which is appreciated!
Thank you very much and hope to hear from you guys soon!

Hey, all.
I have created a blog to keep track of my progress on building Android 2.2 for the Nook Simple Touch.
Although you may or may not be interested in this specific device, I could use your insights from experience with other devices!
Thanks in advance for the info here and in the university. I am sure it will be very helpful.
just picked one up myself, if you are really going to build something i will be happy to test.

Hi all,
Sorry to steal thuis space........i only got a question.
Can someone provide me some links about how to develop an app?
Im new to building this, however ive been around a while and flashed many ROM's. Started from Jelly Bean.
Now my work is in desperate need of an app.
To ceep the cost low, i want to develop it myself.
Im only asking for a few links and stuff to start with. Not more! Thanks in advance!
