I just bought my HTC Amaze. I had 3 saved voicemails from my old phone. Forest time I turned on this phone I got the voicemail notification and it never went away. I've tried deleting my saved voicemails, and now I have no voicemails in my inbox, yet the voicemail notification is still there.
Is there anything I can do to remove this notification? It's becoming more annoying as time passes.

EDIT: well I left myself a voicemail and then read and deleted it and my problem resolved itself. Guess I should have thought of that before I posted.
Go to settings , call, clear voicemail notification

That's exactly what I had to do.
Got the same problem on my Xperia Ray. There is no clear voicemail notification in call settings (it seems to vary from phone to phone) and leaving a new message and listening to it didn't solve the problem for me. Any other ideas?

Gunnar

Not familiar with that device but I would try downloading visual voice mail and syncing then clearing voicemails through the app.

Hey guys somethings wrong with my aria, I don't receive text messages and my market apps don't update, but sometimes ill just get messages randomly but with like 12 of them at once! People can receive them from me but I don't receive....its annoying, also it will sometimes receive them after I reboot the phone. The reason I know that my phone is like this is cause my friends told me that I wasn't replying to them. So I borrowed an old iphone and used that for a week and got all my text messages just fine and had no problem :/ does anyone have a solution? And is this also happening to other people?

Recently my thunderbolt has been sending 4 copies of the same text message to everyone. Has anyone encountered this problem or know of a fix?
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Mine sent a message three times today. Not sure why. Using Go SMS Pro.
This is a Verizon network issue, along with several others regarding the thunderbolt. Hopefully it will be fixed soon .

I'm having a different kind of texting issue.
Sometimes when people text me, I'll pull down the notification bar to reply, write my message, and try to send. But the "Send" button is greyed out! I have to close out and reopen for it to work again.
Are you running a custom Rom or a different sms app than stock?

Stock for both.
EDIT: I just realized you probably might not have been talking to me. Oops! If you were though, disregard this edit.

Yes that was directed at you. For the little time that i was on stock i was noticing that too. I think that it is a bug with the sense text. I disabled everything in stock sms and started using go sms, seams to have fixed it for me.
Sense seems to have some issues updating it's texting widget for me, I'll get the notification for a new sms, I'll go to my widget screen to read it and it won't be there, it's not until I go through the notification bar to read it that it shows up, kinda annoying.
Having a problem making calls. When I dial via Google Voice, or by clicking a number in my browser, a +1 gets added to the number, and as a consequence I get an error stating the network is busy. If I delete the +1 before dialing I have no problem connecting.
I've played with various options that I found, to no avail.
I'm running Liquid Gingersense 1.6 (happened on 1.5, too), and I honestly can't remember if it happened on my stock 2.2.1
any help?
Try disabling assisted dialing?
Settings---call---assisted dialing. Unchecked the box. Not sure if you have to reboot or not.

Did that..no luck..

Seems its an issue with the Google voice app, since it never does that via my sense dialer. Maybe copy the number, then paste it into a text message or another app that parses, and dial from there?

Do you have Facebook syncd up? All contacts imported from Facebook will have +1 and therefore not let you call or text that #
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Google Voice tends to do that because it treats all calls as international calls. If you log into your google account online you can disable this by making a call online. Your phone will sync your preferences from there.

So just place a call from within GV on my computer? I don't need to change any settings? Can I enter a # to dial or do I need to select one from my contacts?
That's what it looked like when I was on there

That's weird but it worked. Actually, it stills adds 1 but not the +, and that's corrected the issue.

Which authorization? I'm trying to follow what you're asking.
Have you tried restarting the phone?
When i first started my phone out of the box today, i logged in to facebook to sync contacts. I got a notification saying
"Authorize htc sense to access facebook". I tried many times and it says sense failed. I cant remove the notification now.

Try this, restarting the phone first.
If it's still there go into
settings>applications>manage applications>facebook for HTC sense>clear data
Restart again just to be on the safe side.
Then log back in.
Let me know how it goes bro.
Tried that, and didnt log back into facebook but notification is still there

If you just got your phone and don't mind wiping data how about a factory reset?
yeah I'm going to try that, but I'm afraid as soon as it boots up it will ask for it again. It asks for it when I add and remove synced accounts too. I have no idea. I'm surprised nobody else has had this issue so far.
well i reset the phone, as soon as I tried to add facebook account to my sync list (not the facebook app), it did it again, asking for authorization and now it's sitting in notifications again.

I honestly don't know what the deal could be. Sorry to hear you're having such bad luck with it.
Reboot, clearing data and a reset still didn't help.
I'm all out of ideas bro.
So tmo tech support has no clue and they're supposed to call me tomorrow with a resolution...this should be good.

Well let me know what they say. =/
Nothing from tmo yet, but task manager ending the Facebook for sense removes the notification, but after reboot it comes back, so if nobody else is apparently having this issue, I'll return the phone for a new one.

I had the issue. you have to hit the notification and wait. Do it before bed or something with the phone plugged in, eventually it will time out. I did this a couple of times and it went away. Also, Check your apps on facebook from your desktop, if HTC sense is already authorized, try removing it, then allowing the mobile app to re add it. If you go that route, I'd clear all data from facebook and uninstall the app (it's seperate from facebook for sense) and then deactivate the sense app from your facebook on the desktop before you readd your facebook account to the facebook for sense, then download the full facebook app. I'm getting sick of everything trying to incorperate facebook into my life.
^ Thanks man, you gave ne the idea of looking at the apps setting in facebook, and sure enough, i had platform apps turned off. I turned it on, and tried the authorization again, and voila! it's gone!

Authorize HTC Sense
Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same problem. The Facebook app seems to work fine but I get the Authorize HTC Sense error in the notification bar. When I click on it, I get "error occured with HTC Sense, please try again later".
Read two posts above you. Ugh

Google voice isn't give me voicemail notifications and app settings are fine. In voicemail settings, it says iconditional forwarding unsuccessful. I tried that manual way where it starts with **004 but that didn't make a difference. Any ideas? Thanks.
I still don't think this has been resolved, or really even addressed, yet.

It's funny how GV App has remain buggy and featureless. I wonder why the hell Google doesn't fix it and gives it a major overhaul like all their other apps. Like for instance I've always wondered why don't they include in-app purchasing capabilities for when you want to top off your account for international calling.... that's just messed up.
Google should really pay attention to that app, many people use this service and deserve something better.
GV works fine for me. You need to be post-paid. Pre-paid doesn't have call forwarding.
I have post paid
So do I, so that's certainly not the issue.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I got it to work by manually doing call forwarding to my GV number, only to see it switch back a couple days later. I believe it had to do with using T-mobile's WiFi calling, but I can't say for certain.
