I am about to get my Tilt 2 and I want to protect it. My first question is: should I get a case and a shield for the screen, or just the GadgetSheilds for my phone?
Secondly, my phone is an American AT&T Tilt 2, what cases are there aside from the Praetorian? I would love to have the Seidio case. If this case won't fit on my phone, are there any that look the same that would?
PS: I did look at the rubberized cases thread, but it kind of confused me. Thank you.
I have the Invisashield full body covering, its tricky to get on exacly right but works great, I also keep the phone in a Monaco Aluminum case there real nice, they come with a removable clip, I have the monaco case on my Tilt Tilt2 Samsung epix and my Microsoft Zune. http://cgi.ebay.com/HTC-AT-T-TILT-2...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item5ad5b16354
Go for a silicone case!
Don't get a hard rubberised one get a soft silicone. The simple rule is that a sharper material will scratch a weaker one.
My $2 dollar hard rubberized case became slightly loose and scratched my new $1000 TP2 to high hell. And I am one of the most careful people about these things.

I've had them both, and I would recommend Ghost Armor before Zagg Invisashield. That is unless you like a sticky touch screen, a bumpy "orange peel" finish, and a discolored screen.

I purchased a Monaco Aluminum case and I like the way it looks and feels, but I won't use it. There is no way I'm trusting my $350 phone to that friction clasp. I can just see me wearing the phone on my belt and something catching on the clasp, opening the case and dumping the phone out in a parking lot. The clasp just isn't secure enough for me. Wish I had noticed it before I made the purchase.
Are there any silicon cases? I only know of the Praetorian as far as the ATT Tilt 2 goes.
I received a Clairview screen protector and it is labeled Touch 2 on packaging, Touch 2/Tilt 2 on the receipt, but it definitely doesn't fit right. Anyone else have this problem? Is it just a mistake or do they not make one for the ATT TIlt 2? What's the opinion of Clairview elsewise?
Lastly, what is the best full-body screen protector, do they cover the chrome around the edge, and can you notice they are on at all?
Lots of questions, I know, thanks so much for the input thus far.

Agreed. I had the same style case for the original Tilt, and dumped it out a few times because i was walking and it managed to free itself. I use this one on my Tilt 2, but I don't use the belt clip at all. Just goes straight in the pocket. Besides that, the only thing I can complain about it, is how there really isn't much room to touch on the edges of the screen & the sensor at the top to turn off the screen during a phone call is blocked - but nothing a dremel can't fix!
I bought a bodyglove, nice case, adds a little bulk, but no scratching on the device as others have said.

I concur Bodyglove case it's sturdy and well designed. Like he said it hasn't scratch my device. The back cover makes it a thick phone not as thick as having an extended battery with the cover. The screen has a Case-mate protector film it's really good quality. Both my TP2 and it's case are from US Cellular.
im a fan of the original rocketfish tpu case for the evo, although i had to cut out for the button holes, etc.. it still served me well cheaply.
the ones for the lte look equally impressive, this time the button holes look cut out.
and come in pink/transparent smoke
anyone bought and got pics and fitting, remarks?
thanks
Case fits well and all holes are cut perfectly. Camera button works well. Power button not quite as good.

Case does fit well, but I would say the opposite about the buttons (which are all covered, btw), I find the power button to be perfect, but half pressing the camera is near impossible. I can't feel where that half step is, you know? And I find myself searching for the volume rocker a lot. Having said that, this thing is a joy to hold. I originally picked mine up at bb intending to return it when my Diztronic ones came in, but it really won me over. The cutouts are perfect, it's snug in all the right places, and it feels great in the hand. The Diztronic ones are pretty awesome also, but I didn't like how the cutouts felt. I decided to keep the rocketfish one on my evo and use the other ones as backups. + 1, would buy again.
interesting. i can see in the pic that the power button looks to be halfway covered.
wth?
Actually the power button is completely covered. The cut out part is the headphone jack and second mic.
I - love - this - case. I have never had any of my phones protected with any case protectors because they all sucked donkey balls. I usually just used skin protectors, because cases add bulk to an already bulky or sleek phone. The EVO LTE is a sleek slim phone that can easily slip in and out of pockets fast. The TPU case that Sprint sent everyone was slim and provided protection, but it was NOT easy to get into and out of pockets.
So, stumbled into Best Buy to get a Zagg HD screen protector and asked where the EVO LTE accessories were at. I see this and tried it on for size and was really pleased. I don't regret the decision and have actually saved my ass when the phone was dropped the same day. I love it because of 3 important factors:
1) Does not add any noticeable girth. It doesn't add any huge lip to the front, just enough to keep the screen off the surface when the screen is placed downward. The back adds no thickness because it is flushed to camera lens "bump".
2) Slick case makes it easy to get it into my pocket, and very easy to get it out fast. It doesn't have that "sticky" feeling. It might be a bad or good thing. If I have it in my hands, I want it sticky. Otherwise, I think it was a good trade-off.
3) Buttons are covered. I know some people don't like the buttons covered, but when I usually drop my phones, the buttons are the ones to get scuffed first. I wanted my phone protected from those scuff marks and any accidental water that might get near it. I like it protected as much as possible. The buttons are still easy to press, but I kinda get confused where to press, unless I feel for the grooves really well or look at where I'm pressing. I think RocketFish could improve here. They need to make the covered buttons provide more tactile feedback or maybe an option to have the buttons color coded, or even add some stickers in the package so we the user could add different colored stickers if we wanted them. In fact, I'm patenting the idea of including different color stickers (of varying sizes for different buttons or locations) to phone protectors so people can decide IF, WHERE, and what COLORS they want on their protector. Heck, maybe even some logo stickers if you want.
That's my 2 cent review.
I bought the case as well. Adds no bulk and protects it well. Highly recommend

Bought this case and it fits perfectly. Like others have said it adds little to no bulk to the device. The buttons are covered but I have not problem pressing them. I highly recommend this case for those who don't like those bulky cases such as the otterbox.
Wow so that's what a $25 TPU case looks like.

It's a $25 Soft Gel case that you can get today at your local Best Buy without having to wait. You get what you paid for. Yeah, I would have preferred it cheaper, but I got instant gratification.
Good investment for this case. I dropped it on the pavement getting out of my car on 6/9, made very little noise when hitting the ground. I picked it up and after close inspection I found only a very small nick on the case in the corner. Much better than scratching the aluminum.
Very happy with it, but like stated earlier, I would like to feel the half press of the shutter a little more.

There seems to be some confusion between the terms "TPU case" and "soft gel case". A gel case is squishy and sticky in your pocket, and will pull your pocket inside out when you try to get it. A TPU case is harder, stiff but flexible plastic that is more neutral feeling in terms of grip. They're not interchangeable terms. Diztronics makes an excellent TPU case for under $10.

TPU is definitely not gel.. If you're happy with a 25$ tpu because you didn't wanna wait 3ish days, thats great! I personally feel you get better quality, design and prices when you order it.

Next time you should just buy four of these for the same price, which look to be the exact same case: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GLASSY-BLACK-TPU-SOFT-COVER-CASE-HTC-EVO-LTE-ONE-SPRINT-/221044232781?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item337743524d#ht_3047wt_1165
I may even pick one up soon.

This is a pretty decent hybrid case. I uploaded a few pictures to Amazon to give more people a better chance to see what it looks like since the seller only uploaded a picture of the back, and I have the only review on Amazon as well if you want to hear what I thought about it. Basically, it's a good fit but I'm not the biggest fan of how it feels in my hand and how much thickness it adds. I honestly feel like they could have made the silicone thinner where it's covered by hard plastic and reduced the overall thickness by a lot. It's not the end of the world, but we'll see how long I have it on there before I take if off and go all slim-n-sexy again.
Also, for whatever reason Amazon didn't like my picture of the packaging so I'm attaching a picture of the mailer it comes in and the packaging you have to open. It's pretty standard stuff, but it's here for you to look at just in case.
Edit: Typo.
How do the buttons feel?
They are a little bit cheaper if you order from

This is the case I decised on too. I works, very light, but I'm not sure how much protection it offers. Coming from a Seidio Active case on an iPhone 4, this is a let down, but there aren't many choices. I'd rate it a 6 overall

Agreed - But there's not much case love for the AT&T OG so we're at the mercy of this type of case unless Seidio or Otterbox or such changes their mind about making something for us.
I got this case off eBay, just received it yesterday. For a case being under $10 its not bad and I feel it will protect it from a mild drop just fine. Also the silicone on the front has a raised lip so if you set the phone face down its not on the screen. The only real down side is that the case covers the power button so no notification light now.
I'll add pictures of mine, since its blue might be easier to see then the black case.

How does the case feel?
I purchased the one from Ventev that looks identical to this case. I sent that one back because the "TPU" it said the case was made of was really hard kinda felt like plastic. That made the buttons hard to push. Is the rubber the case made out of hard or soft like tradition TPU? I want this case because I like the two layers of protection but I dont want another case that was like the Ventev case. For now I have the Diztronic case on it and I took the plastic shell off the Belkin case and it fit over the Diztronic TPU case with little force and its like a makeshift Otterbox Commuter.

I just replaced mine with the Fusion Hybrid, I like it much better...
After only like 2 weeks, the "silicone" was stretching. It's actually more like a molded foam, and the plastic hard shell only holds it to the phone in a few areas. The plastic shell on the Fusion Hybrid actually seems to be a lot more stiff and holds it on three sides. The silicone feels a lot better on the new case as well, seems more dense...
For less than $10, neither is terrible, but I'd spend on the Fusion Hybrid...
Anyone find any good tpu cases?
I found a couple on Amazon but most with bad reviews. Most complaints were that the cases do not fit.
I found this one.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I86GGII/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_22zhtb0CC8DKH
It has no reviews yet and I bought it ...I don't have it yet... But let's hope it's good.
I have this one. It fits. It's snug, but it fits. The buttons are pretty hard to press though. It will do until some other options come out I guess!
If I could have any case for this device, I would want a Gumdrop Bounce Skin.
My wife has one for her Ipad air with a glass screen protector and there is nothing like it. Survives drops and a 5 year old, feels great to touch, sticks to your hand so you can use if one handed without a strap, sticks enough to a table or whatever so you can just lean it up against anything (wall, pillow, monitor, shelf, pencil holder, ...) and it stays at the same angle you set it down at, easy.
I just love this thing. If gumdrop doesn't make it, I'm going to have to bribe a silicone guy and get him to copy one for me. I think I could almost duplicate it with RTV silicone rubber if I bought two of them cut them up to fit and then did a two part mold, but it would take a bit of thinking and I don't know how well RTV silicone would last (but it would have the right shore A hardness to feel great and "stick" in all the right ways).
The best thing about the case is that while it grabs lint and stuff like most silicone cases, it does not feel bad and does not inhibit its stickiness. This might not make sense to you if you aren't acutely aware of everything you touch and how it feels (and I wish I didn't), but if you are sensitive to it, this is amazing. Now I haven't covered it in baby powder or anything, but it is amazing not having to worry about tossing it on a pile of laundry or the bed or the carpet and it not getting so covered in tiny dust that you feel like you have to wask it off. Even my otterbox for my GS4 makes me feel like that sometimes, but not my wife's gumdrop bounce, man I'm envious of that skin.
If you want here is the link to it on amz. for the ipad. they even have it in like 7 colors, I just wish they made it for the Note pro.., maybe they will.

I got my Poetic Graph Grip yesterday. I'm pretty torn about it. The fit is great, it is much better protection than the Fosmon case linked above that I have, it is comfortable to hold BUT... it is heavy!! It adds a significant amount of weight to an already large tablet. And it also seems to be a bit of a dog fur/dust magnet. Which is a problem in a house with three dogs! So I'm not sure whether I will continue to use it or not.
OK I got the tpu case.... And it's pretty good. The buttons are a little hard to press especially the power button.... Other than that it's not bad.

I'm not usually one to use a cases on my electronic devices. I like my phones like I like my women, naked with a nice screen protector.
But since the G3 seems to be made of some of the most slippery plastic I've ever held, I dropped it a few feet the other day and slightly nicked the corner of it. So I'm looking for a very simple case, but as I said in the title, I'm picky.
It doesn't need to protect it all that much, but one thing I can't stand is when the case comes up over the edge of the screen. I'll use an example of a case that someone posted on the "Show us your case" thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3337032&d=1432863723
See that slight "rim" around the edge of the bezel? It bothers me, which is why the two cases I've already bought are sitting at home unused. I need it to be flush, or even recessed from the front of the phone.
Does anyone know of a fairly basic case that won't have anything protruding up around the edges of the screen? I'd love one of those official replacement back cases from LG, but they're apparently extremely rare. So other options would be great.
Thanks!
If you dislike cases why not just get a full body clear skin from Skinomi or Bodyguardz? I'd recommend the LG Slim Guard Case. It has a raised lip but is super minimal, almost flush with the screen. This case unlike other thin G3 cases offers full body coverage/protection. LG also has the Slim Hard Case however this case does not offer fully cover the phone. The Ringke Slim is another good case option. It does have a small lip. Check ebay for the OEM cases if you can't find them on Expansys
