Here is the next installment for Longhorn. I changed the default Launcher to HoloLauncher. It is an ICS clone that is very lightweight and quick. I have improved the battery life slightly and made a few other tweaks. Thanks to all of those that have help to make this Rom what it is today.

Longhorn 2.7 is a little bit different as I have re-added most of the CM7 Functionality back into the Rom, with it still being bare bones. So now the Theme chooser and CM Settings are built into it already. Longhorn 2.7 has a Red and Black theme that comes stock. I have changed the scheduler and made a few minor tweaks to help speed up the I/O a bit. The minimum frequency is 128mHz and the max is 1267mHz due to the zdrive from DSC CM Kernel. Battery life is moderate, but can use some improvement.

You should try clearing cache, and reboot and see if it works. If it doesn't, try a factory reset. I have seen with a few other GB ROMs it doesn't like the dhd.ko file mixed with the boot image.

i am testing tyour rom so far seems snappy, im having 2 issues;
1- hardware "home" button not working,
2- wifi connected but no inet
am now rebooting , will post later if this fixed issue
oh, btw, ive wiped cache and dalvik and done a full dell factory reset.

Feel solid with Superman boot animation ~~
Most perfect Rom (for stability issue..) for me so far.... installed and set with lanuncherpro.
Now, clearly understand that Market problem (install button disappearing or incompatible issue) is not because of LCD Density through this rom but maybe version of market..
Got Quadrant Score : 1351 so far...
Problem so far is here,
- USSD Code not running (Malaysia)...
- A little lag when the screen switched / changed..
- Landscape as default ( Can portrait.zip be flashed ??)

You have to use wifi reassociate from market then while wifi is connected reboot
Then wifi should work

Longhorn MIUI Beta
After taking some advice from Scruffdog1978, I decided to look into MIUI. It is based off of the MIUI Rom from Nintin1978. I removed some of the apps that I didn't feel were necessary, and I added some updated apks. Did some tweaks and this is the Beta. It is mostly 2.4.20.

Thanks to Manics and tatank_t for their LED Mod. I modified it for LH MIUI beta, so I know that it will not conflict with any settings. Just flash whichever one you want. 160\240 is the dpi you want after. Please note that you need to go into Settings\Trackball\ and DISABLE Pulse notification LED in order to get it to work.
Longhorn CM/MIUI Combo Beta
I have been wanting to incorporate some things from both CM7 and MIUI for a while now, so after some testing and tweaking, I have a Longhorn Combo Beta. You can use both CM7 Theme, as well as MIUI themes. It is basically CM7 with the option to modify (so far) only 4 components of MIUI. (wallpaper, icons, lockscreen, and lockscreen wallpaper). It has both HoloLauncher 1.0.3 and MIUI Launcher 2.3. I have also incorporated DSC Universal 2 Kernel per Sergei's recommendation. So it will have Mugen support, UV if you want it, and CPU speed up to 1344.
While it is still in Beta, I will not add additional mirrors for it because I can modify the current file on the fly if needed, without having to update/recreate other mirrors. Once it goes into a full version, I will add additional mirrors.

I have had this Beta for a week now. I didn't look at the Chinese Roms yet. Those will take some time to make sure they have all of the translations and compatible with the Streak.

My friend had them on his desire hd and he said roms come with chinese english and some othr language(these 3)
so no need for adding tranlation
everyone can live with english

I removed the LED Notifications so far in the Beta(personal preference). They can be added as an add on. As far as the Kernel, I have had mixed results with it, so I hadn't incorporated it in yet. Maybe in a new release.

Its not that easy man! i tried to port lewa rom last month but not succeed, framework files need to modified for streak.
keep the framework.jar the same as CM
tried everything......why don't you give it a try?
I tried to port the JoyOS rom from the instructions, and it got stuck at Dell logo. So I agree that it will take some more playing with to get it to work successfuly.

Hey Tenorn I been utterly ignorant to migrating to MIUI since DCS and olleh407 is good enough for me and I have a nasty crack on the bottom of my screen using MIUI would put my phone vertical and the crack would make the bottom icons look nasty. ANyways to get to my point, can you post some screens of your ROM and would you suggest it over your regular Longhorn rom?

In my opinion, the only real difference is there are a lot more Theme options, boot audio, and a few minor setting differences. I still prefer CM7, but it is up to you what you want out of a ROM.

I can tell you part of the reason. When you flash the different Kernel, it removes some of the settings that are in the post_boot.sh and Init.rc file.

I call it a Lite version as Aroma is not in this build. 50% icons are themed. No extra apps. Caviar dreams font with Honeycomb lock clock. Neon accented stock keyboard.
This is my own personal daily. Enjoy!

PS:Remember guys this a senseless rom meaning personalize will not work and will always FC. Don't try it. Installation could take upwards to 7mins if choosing a theme, be patient. Themes are not TWRP compatible, until I can upload flashable zips, please choose the stock option.

The kernel? It does but you lose camera. Its just a stock kernel for now.

I had to pull the files last minute as none of the kernels were giving boot. Still working on it though.

Either way great job your kernel is great on my phone I would use dsb kernel but my phone won't boot with that kernel it doesnt like overclock

This ROM is great! I have no idea how it fell so far down the list but it's very impressive.
Would flashing the new Adreno drivers or dsb's kernel make a noticeable difference in any aspect of the ROM's performance? It is so fast already that I'm not sure it's worth the risk of breaking something.
Try dsbs kernel but I wouldn't try doing the adreno drivers. Thank you for the nice comments!!!

Hmmmm....
Quite odd. Do a battery pull, push power and hold vol- til you can get into hboot. Then go into recovery, reflash the rom without choosing any User apps/same selections. Odd that this rom didn't like his kernel. Maybe i'm using a different ram disk or did you flash his global kernel?

I flashed the ICS OTA at first and that is the one that refused to boot. I finally got the stupid phone to go back into hboot (no idea why it was so stubborn) and now I did try the Global Leak and it booted.
Testing to follow.

Ok...I'm flashing back to the Viral OTA ROM to restore the kernel.
I ran a ton of tests but these results tell the story:
AnTuTu
Before Kernel Flash:
Total: 6141, CPU: 2781, RAM: 1241, I/O: 602, GPU: 1517
After Kernel Flash:
Total: 3489, CPU: 1182, RAM: 451, I/O: 461, GPU: 1385
The results after the flash were all over the place but always much worse than before, even after overclocking.
I will run them again when I'm flashed back to Viral.

Loving this Rom, running it with funky 1.6 rc2. This thing is so snappy on nova launcher. Only thing is inaccurate battery at low levels. Is there a fix for this?

I will have to back port to get it working. I'm working on other projects right now. On a side note, update the busybox version in this with jrummy's busybox installer, I havent had a chance to do so yet. Good to see you're enjoying it btw.
