Anyone tried n64oid?
I tried V1.1.3 and it works. Some games have terrible wireframe issues but it is playable I guess.
UPDATE: I just installed V2.6 and OMG it looks so pretty! I tested Starfox and Mario Golf. Both run with a few hick-ups but it is totally playable.

I just did a google search for "n64oid 2.6 apk" and found a good download on the first results page. And for roms, I favor www.emuparadise.me

Zelda Ocarina of Time works! Cut scenes are glitchy, but it works!
Works pretty well, some of the graphics are a little glitchy on some games. The on screen controls are landed out kinda weird but that's more the fault of the layout of the original controller.
What version of n64oid works with CM 7.1.0-encore? The ones Ive tried all (after selecting a rom) stay on a black screen.
and yet Gameboid (the gba emu) works just fine.
I can't get N64oid to quit running in the background... any ideas?
I've killed all apps but its still there.

No exit button under menu for me. Only refresh and Settings... nothing about exiting under settings either.
I had to force stop it... Inconvenient but I found a way!
I've been playing Ocarina of time and it works pretty well! Of course the main problem is the control, to try to make it better I bought this:
http://www.ebay.es/itm/Thumbies-Gam...013009?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item27c2729251
I'm still waiting for it to arrive so I can't post my impressions yet.
But even with stuff like this we still have one big problem, the nook tablet's screen is not completely multi-touch, it only recognizes two pressure points simultaneously so if you try to press two buttons and the the control pad at the same time one of them will stop working!! I cannot even play Super Mario because of this!!
Hope it's not a hardware limitation and it can be fixed somehow with the future roms!!
(little tip to improve the controls layer: put the d-pad on the upper part so you can use the volume keys as triggers, quite comfortable!)
Or just go to settings-apps-app manager- & just find the app and force stop (kill it)

Use button savior to exit. Click on the four boxes icon and choose settings click on more and there is a whited out exit there. best option so far.

Cant get out of it.....
Hey guys, im sure most of us have had this problem where after we "quit" n64oid it still runs in the background. It constantly has the symbol in the statusbar and does decrease performance a bit. Does anyone have something to fix this ie: easy force close? Thanks for the help

And if so what version number makes the menu&back buttons work?

Fantastic ! Has the game zoom function?
no zoom function AFAIK but it is a great improvement plus extra levels!
It managed to crash on my mini after one level.. and the res still seems a bit off at times.. I will keep playing to make sure it doesn't crash again.. and if it does crash.. I will just restart it and keep playing.. for the sake of testing of course
seems to be a problem with the resolution when it pops up with a screen to show you how to use a new bird weapon (that's all I could think of to call it) so when you get an exploding bird it pops up on the screen with instructions of what the new bird does showing a big finger touching the screen.. then freezes (I guess there is a button off the screen somewhere (on higher res screens) that allows you to continue.. on the mini/pro you have to reset the game..
Edit.. holy crap I just looked at the post times.. I wasted over an hour playing that game!!
since i have upadated mine, ther resolution is perfect, however the game itself sometimes stutters [which IIRC it didn't do before (when the resolution wasn't great)] like there is not enought RAM to run it perfectly. apart from that it works well.

Can you take a video of new version on x10 mini ?
The game works fine on mine. Aside from occasional lags. The new version supports the small resolution of the mini...
Is it crashing for anyone else when you unlock a new bird weapon?

sorry, dont know how to do that...from what i have noticed [playing for quite some time yesterday ] it appears that the lag/ stuttering that i notice is only when the advert is on the screen, at the start of the level. after that has gone it appears to be fine.
You do realize when the screen freeze in the instruction, the back button or the menu button (I'm not sure, I forgot) is fully functional. You just have to press it and it will bring up the menu. From there, go to the level selection and pick the level you're going to and voila, you are playing the game again without resetting.

w the 1.4.2 update, the instruction fits the screen properly w the check mark to continue.
I installed the last update and it seems to work a little bit smoother than before.
But finally, I found the key: to root and install AdFree... NOW WORKS PERFECT !!! Also I noticed with AdFree my X10 mini goes faster. I hope this helps!

By any chance you're touching the back key on the phone accidently? Didn't try this game but on another game i went to home screen but realized i had pressed the back key since it's very sensitive.
Nope definitely not doing that ):

Stuttery music
I had stuttery music. Tried a lot of things. Finally it seems it is sufficient to increase the available RAM. I use 'Advanced task killer' to do the job.
Now I can enjoy the race with 'normal' sound (without stuttering).
Hi,
I have created a new app for the Xperia U, that will give you "disco lights" in the illumination bar.
Now also works for Xperia P.
So far it only has a few modes. It does both plain blinks and also blinks that are driven by the music you play.
Pro version has more colors and can run in the background.
It only works on Xperia U or Xperia P, and it also requires ROOT to get individual access to the LEDs.
On anything but a rooted XU or rooted XP i'm sure it will do absolutely nothing...
It's called U-Disco and you can find it at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rundgong.udisco
Pro version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rundgong.udiscopro
Try it out and let me know what you think.
If you have suggestions for fun blink patterns, let me know and I'll try to include it in upcoming releases.
Hi,
I have tested the application and what I think is great! But I wish that the lights are activated only when you make a pressure on the touchscreen buttons. Is what you know to do that?
Loved the crazy discos...
Great idea, and nicely implemented.
Possible to add an option to turn off the LED?

The LEDs should go off when you change the selection on either drop down list.
Sometimes you may need to toggle audio source on and off before it really goes off
It's cool. Haha, I feel like little child playing with his torches.

Simply awesome............ make it more smooth if you can... great app by the way....

Confirming that this app works fcking seXy on Xperia U with CM9 (fxp145) ALso, love the rainbow thing Gr8 job And hell the music thing works toooo seXy on CM9 also ..............
But why the LEDs are back to normal if i am back to home screen by pressing back button its nt permanent .
But the left led is stable ..dont do anything
Btw, Made a Quick Review http://youtu.be/6Tn-tZPzAxE
Good job, thanks!
Too bad Android closes it when I play a memory intensive game, such as Dead Trigger... It'd be cool to have the light effects while shooting
Can you do a root version and make it stay in the memory of the phone?
Could you make it turn of when the screen does and turn on when the screen does cause that'd be perfect

The default behavior for an app is to shut down when you press the back button. If you want to keep it running in the background you can press the home button instead.

I don't know how it works with high prio processes on android, but I can look into it.
I also don't really know how good android is at deciding when to kill apps.
It is supposed to only kill apps when other apps need the memory, but I guess it is possible that it kills apps earlier than it really needs to.
Anyone know how good this works?
I don't want to change the app so it makes the rest of the system run poorly by holding on to memory that really should have been released.

Yes, but if the android framework is doing a good job it means your game really need the ram, so if my app stays active the game may not work so well any more.
