Before when I was using the SE stock ROM I was able to open the browser and it would display the last page viewed.
Now that I'm on a Cyanogen 7 based ROM every time I open the browser it reloads the home page.
Is there a way to stop it from doing this and open on the last viewed page?
Thanks in advance.

At my college the wifi requires us to log onto a website to be able to browse the internet but if i leave the browser to go to play store or any other apps, a few minutes later the connection cuts out and i have to open the browser again and reload. I tried firefox, opera mobile and maxthon with no success, are their any browsers or methods that will keep the site running in the backround. Im using Resurrection Remix ics v1.9 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854). thanks
Please try dolphine Browser. In the settings there is an option for this Feature.
works perfect thanks
After the ics 4.0.4 update to my 10.1 tab, I started having a strange problem with the stock browser. When I open a new
browser session, the browser opens to my defined homepage as expected; however, if I select the url and type any character
on the keyboard, the browser immediately redirects to the google search page. Because of this the browser is almost unusable.
Does anyone out there have any ideas? I fuzz'ed around with the settings for a while but no luck. Fyi, I don't have Google Instant enabled. Thanks in advance for any help

Hi,
I am using Galaxy s3 and upgraded it to Jelly Bean.
Till now whenever I used to click the link in S3's default internet browser, I used to get the app to open it. For e.g. if i clicked on Google play link, it used to open google play appl. Or if I click on youtube link it used to open youtube app on my android device.
But now, every time i click on any such link, it opens app in web browser. It is very much annoying.
I have cleared all the defaults of all the apps like Internet, Youtube, Google play etc but the issue still continues.
Seniors can you please help me in this issue. I really tried all the things but no success.
Awaiting for your help.
Kind Regards,
Anoop.
Possibly not much of a solution but try using a different web browser, there are far better than stock. Try using dolphin browser HD or Chrome. There are a few more but they are the ones I recommend.

Has anybody got a solution to this? I'm also facing the same issue.
go to settings - applications - your browser - clear defaults.
then click a play/YouTube link and just choose the corresponding app

Doesn't work...interesting thing is even after clear defaults from dolphin as well as stock browser, it only gives me these two options to choose from when I click on any youtube link,e.g. in FB. It never gives me an option to select youtube app.
I'm on Viking 5.1 | Android 4.1.2, although I'm sure the ROM should not matter. I remember it used to work on 4.0.4.
I just got a new S9+ and when using the Facebook mobile site there is no photo button next to comments and if I try and upload a photo it says "Your browser doesn't support posting photos directly".
This issue goes away when I force desktop site (I use brave browser but it's the same in chrome) but that's kind of annoying, I gather it has something to do with android switching from webview to using chrome instead but I can't figure it out. Any ideas? And no I refuse to use the faceberg app.
Same.. Just upgrade my phone fromm Nought to oreo.
And got this problem
Your browser doesn't support posting photos directly
Note 8.
I tried disabling chrome and changing back to android web viewer but still no dice, surely someone knows how to fix this?
Bump
Why don't you try Firefox or another browser?
Also, it might be because of the phone screen. Next time you log in, try to select "Use desktop version" for the Facebook website and see if the problem persists.
I already stated in the OP it works when I force desktop website, I dont want to have to constantly switch between the mobile and desktop sites in order to post a photo considering I didnt have to on a version of Android that's 3 generations older than the one I'm currently using.
