ICCS gets back screen when the phone wakes up. - Optimus One, P500, V General

Sometimes when the phone wakes up, the screen is black and the buttons on the button are on. To get the screen to turn on, I press the top button and let the phone sleep for 5 secs, then I turn it on and it works.
any ideas why it's doing this?

Iccs? You must be talking about dax's rom. Its based on mik 6.5.8 which has the blackscreen bug.

Yes, its dax's rom. I used mik's 6.5.8 rom without the black screen ever happening once.

ive been getting it too dude. good to get an asnwer instead of being laughed at lol.

Did you flash an updated kernel? If so that is why. Anything besides the old v18 kernel causes a blackscreen bug.

Flash the last goldenleaf or franco v19.4.

Update that should fix for you:

I'll give it a try. I have been using the kernal that came with the rom.

[Q] Camera Issue Mik_OS CM7

Im having random reboots/restarts after I start the camera application, it's happening to fast for a screenshot but what I do manage to see is something up on the top of the screen in white letters, RAMDUMP....Im not sure if all of this is happening b/c Im on a Franco Kernel and need to go back to Mik's Kernel for CM7, also in explanation, the problem shows a black screen which appears to be somewhat like BIOS screen's (something similiar) Is there a fix to this somewhere or is this a regular occurance and I should just stop using the camera ?

Ive reflashed cm7, with the mik's default kernel-let's hope this does the trick, I really wanted to use Franco's Kernel v.18.1 bfs with performance/smartass but it seems like everytime I flash Franco's Kernal, I either get a random reboot or a kernel panic. Camera is now working but at the expense of just using Mik's kernel and not franco's ? Should I perhaps use an earlier version of Franco's Kernel or just stick with Mik's ?

[Q] Glitch V12 Beta & GrooveIP

Ive been using Glitch V12 (20110720-HL) for a while now with CM7. I stuck with this version because BLN (without app) and sensors work. I tried going to the newer releases but when using GrooveIP, I temporarily lose sound when the screen goes off while im in a call and doesnt come back until I turn the screen back on. Is this the screen state scaling? If so, any recommendations of what governor to use to that I wont get cut off but is also good on battery?
Thanks
If it is something that happens a lot, try either ondemand or disabling screenstate scaling completely.

Thanks for the quick response. Wasnt expecting to have an answer 'til I woke up. I will reflash back to the latest CM7 and Glitch tomorrow and report back.
Well, I flashed the latest Glitch kernel (9-23) along with CM7 (nightly 59) and its not doing it at all. When it did it before was on kernel 9-06. Did that build have a different default screen off governor or maybe it had something to do with the proximity sensors not working and the auto off screen kicking in after about 30 seconds, which is when the sound would stop before?

[Q] am i the only one?

am i the only one who experienced too much wake up delay?. i mean it took about 10-15 sec to wake it up. normally, when we press the home key, it'll wake up our ace within 1-2 secs, but in me it took 10 - 15 sec and i need to press the volume just to wake up my ace. i tried to reflash with odin, change my rom into cm 9, but no luck. what can i do to solve this problem?
Does it happens always? If so try setting min. frequency at 245 Mhz... Also governor to smartass v2

can someone tell me how to fix it?. it's really annoying. i always use my ace to check time, or check if there is any email, message received. but it always took about 10 - 15 secs to wake it up. dunno how did this happen to my ace. all i remember is i removed the sd card, then boom. it start to happen. and it always happen.
what is your internal memory free space and the RAM usage?
I also get the laggy problem when my dolphin browser is opened.

i have 83mb free in internal memory. dunno what is my RAM usage.. BUT, even if it is newly reflashed from odin, it still happens too much delay in wake up. so i try to flash a custom rom, CM 9 by mclaw, wipe the cache, wipe the delvik, restore factory settings, i already did all of them. but still, the the delay is there. 10-15 seconds delay in wake up..
how can i fix this?
I don't have this phone but i know it's related to the kernel

i'll try to flash a new kernel.
EDIT: already tried to flash a new kernel. still no luck..
what rom are you using? cm variants have a known issue of having delayed wake up lags, and if you alread had tried flashing over odin try flashing over customized stock rom which are aboundantly found in the development section
maybe your phone using default min. frequency, if yes, change to 245 MHz
but in my case, my min-max freq is default, and it didn't affect my phone's wake up time
My screen off profile in SetCPU is 120Mhz Min and 320 at Max. I never had wake up problems in my phone. My question is, 15 seconds waiting is looong. Do you press just middle (HOME) button and wait for 15 seconds? Because in either case if you were/are on stock ROM flashed via ODIN. That must not be happening on stock.
If you're using CM based ROM, Is everything check in "buttons" section in Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Input Settings?
I'm just checking which buttons you've assigned to wake up your device.

i already tried stock rom from odin, still it has the wake up extreme lag that took 10-15 secs. then i tried to flash custom rom, cm9, cm 7.1, 7.2, stock based rom, still no luck.. i think, it's the hardware of my ace that has problem.

i dont set any buttons to wake up my ace, means, it was using the default. even in stock rom flashed via odin, it still have the extreme lag wake up. i press the home button, the light turn on in the menu and back button (left and right of the home button), and if i just wait, it wont turn the lights on in the screen, sometimes, if i just wait the 15secs, it'll wake up and imediately sleep again bout less than 1 second. that's why i need to press the volume to wake it up
can someone know how to fix it?
Try to set Minimum Clock Frequency to 245 or flash Adrenaline Boost v2 then if you feel that you are running low on memory just give your Ace a Boost.
Sounds weird, but you mentioned earlier that you removed your SD card without unmounting? Try formatting the card and insert it when the phone is off OR erase it when in CWM recovery. Never know this might just work out. If it doesn't use Kies to update your phone to stock.(Tedious process I know). Hope it helps.
I'm surprised nobody thought of this as a hardware problem.
Do you still have a warranty?

my warranty is already void/expired. i really think that this is a hardware problem. because, i already tried what they said.. but nothing happens. still the same. i already tried to reflash again via odin twice. still got the extreme wake up delay. tried to flash a custom rom based on stock, still no luck, tried to flash a cm rom (7.1, 7.2, 9) still the same. tried to set the minimum frequency to 245, still the same. and i think, im the only one experiencing the 15 second wake up delay. that's why i think, it's the hardware that has the problem.

[Q] Capacitive buttons don't light up

I flashed fluxi kernel on CM9, then installed a newer CM9 build which replaced the kernel, and now the capacitive buttons don't light up when I touch them or the screen.
Any solution?
Under Settings>Advanced>Sensors "Enable keys backlight" is enabled?
Bye

Hold menu button for a few seconds and then let go.
Thanks. It is enabled and holding the menu button does nothing.

Did you leave the phone on charger overnight? I did.
Now, most of the times, my capactiive keys do not respond. Sometimes they do.
When they are not working, they do not light up either no matter how many times they are touched. However, if i touch the screen area at that time, they light up according to duration (like 1.5 seconds). But still, touching them does not make them work.
I have tried the screen code *#2660# to update the fw of capacitive soft keys. Made no difference.
I've always been charging it overnight, the lights stopped working after flashing CM9 over CM9+fluxi kernel.
Also, the buttons work, the light behind them doesn't.
Well imo, you should flash stock kernel and start over i.e. root, then flash CM7 latest nightly. Stay with it for a few days.
I suppose full wipe should fix it, I was hoping for something else, like messing with the liblights file
Try siyah kernel. Using ext tweaks you can set a timeout for the capacitive button. It lights up when you touch the screen or the button not like the other kernels where you need to touch the button so that it would light up.
Edit: In case you try siyah kernel, make sure you download the one for sgs2 not sgs3.

Thanks but I might as well flash fluxi kernel. The problem started because I wanted to return to CM9 kernel (hence flashing CM9 over CM9+fluxi). I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to stay 100% CM9, without full wiping my phone.

I think with cm9 kernel (for now maybe) you don't have the option to have a time out for the capacitive buttons or similar to what i have explained earlier (the one where when you touch the screen the capacitive button lights up blah blah). Either it is permanently on or it is permanently off (using the 2nd poster's advice).

"Enable keys backlight" is ticked. When I untick and then tick it again, the lights work only as long as I don't turn off the screen. If the screen is turned off and on again, no lights as usual, though the box remains ticked.

It's been a long time since i tried stock cm9 kernel. During that time the button lights are always on. I think i tried it one time and you're right. Well, siyah is working for great for me.

[Q] led notification for longhorn 2.9.3

please give us the mod for that,
blinking or fix on LED Notification for CM7 is what we need.. ::angel:
the other led notification for cm7 is not working i don't know why i flashed it in a right way..
thank you so much xda-devs
why don't you try streakled from market
If I remember correctly, tenortex (the ROM author) is aware of this and plans on integrating the fix in the next version. This next version is suggested to be out in early October.
I believe he doesn't use LED notifications which is why the patch sometimes doesn't make it into the releases.
Updated with link to tenortex's post about a fix in the next release:

thank you so much for the info
No problem.

It is a baseband problem, this baseband check is disabled in the Phoenix Kernel. Flash the Miui kernel from this post to solve your problem:
