Just wondering if there are any alternate batteries that may work with the Rezound other than the oem battery which comes with the device or the 2750 extended battery offered by Verizon?
I was hoping that possibly the thunderbolt battery or sensation battery was compatible and maybe siedio made a larger than stock battery for those phones I could purchase to get extended battery life without the extended battery girth.
Maybe siedio makes a 1750 or 1800 mah battery like they did for the Dinc.
Thanks in advance!
Better read up on Siedo Batteries .
They are some of the worst rated batteries out there. The 1750 was rated at around 1400. Buy HTC batteries.

I've read that the stock htc batteries for the tbolt work in the rezound but it messes with the battery monitoring.
I'm thinking for myself, I'm going to use my backup t-bolt batteries, and just change them out at about the 3 hour mark. That should give the rezound battery a chance to get back to full. I haven't looked for backup rezound batteries on amazon yet (just ordered the phone today).
I have seen in other threads people said that they believed the tbolt batteries could be used. Maybe they are misinformed? I used a siedio 1750 in my dinc and saw a far superior battery life experience then the stock OEM battery

The batteries are the same physical size, but the rezound doesn't read them properly so the battery gauge would probably be off.
I saw several people that had bad things to say about the seidio batteries on the thunderbolt.

The motorcycle battery pic is great. The biggest I've seen done before is with 9volters.
Btw, I recall talks awhile back about how they were planning to modify the transmission towers so that they'd both give us a signal as well as wirelessly keep our phones charged. Would be nice to know what the status is on that.
I didn't know they were doing that. I knew about WiTricity though. I don't think the technology is far enough along yet to implement on such a large scale. They are going to go through health admin scrutiny I imagine.

That's exactly what I was thinking of. You remember the whole deal with people thinking cell phones cause cancer? I wouldn't think the wireless charging would be any different unless a few credible studies show otherwise.
Too bad my 1800mah battery from my Incredible won't fit in this phone.
I can only imagine the kind of frenzy people are going to come up with. "WiTricity is the equivalent of being struck by lightning" lol. I bet the majority of these people who are scared ****less are also smokers who won't quit.

Just got my other two in from ebay at $4 a pop. They were supposed to be OEM replacements but to my suprise, one of them says "1300mAh Replacement Battery For HTC G1". The other looks like a replica of an OEM battery but you can tell its not OEM. For $8 for both though, who really cares? lol, here's some pics of all my batteries.

Seidio 2600mAh With Extended Back Door $50
Andida "1600mAh" Extended Batteries (2) They are $10 each but i got em $10 for both
And of course, my stock OEM pos bloated HTC battery but you all know what that looks like.
Think i got enough Juice?
Impressive. I also have a 'defective' andida that I charge with an external charger. I have one of those white label batteries that came with one of my external chargers. It's a good emergency battery, but inferior to the OEM. I have a Seido 1400 that works pretty well. The Seido and the Andida seem to last about the same time in the phone. I still use the OEM even though it started bulging a bit. I hope that doesn't mean it's about to explode.
Depending on usage, I can rotate out all four batteries in a single day. The new radio has improved battery life, though.
How do they perform?

There is no words for the Seidio 2600, that thing is a beast. 3 days easy with everything on. The Andidas last about a day and a half with heavy usage and some things turned off. The others i havent tested yet and the OEM is garbage, lasts about 4 hours max with LIGHT usage.

Unforunately, he stopped selling them after the whole fiasco he went through with getting a bad batch and sending it out to everyone then having to replace them all...he just called it quits. =\
If you wanna see exactly what im talking about, just read up on the Andida 1600mAh Battery thread, its like 50 pages long from various XDA members including myself waiting months and months and months for a working $10 extended battery...it was crazy.
On another note though, i've heard there are other 1600mAh extended batteries on ebay so just do a search and they should come up. I think i remember one guy telling me about "Ecell" extended batteries? Give it a go and let us know how it goes.

I think the battery is so big because it relies on slightly outdated "Elf" technology.
For those not familiar with Elf batteries, the idea is simple: Inside the battery dwells a colony of friendly and industrious elves that work night and day to power your phone. Picture a light bulb powered by a hamster wheel, only with elves.
The upshot is that you can get great battery life, but in addition to charging you will periodically need to smear a small amount of peanut butter on the battery to feed the elves (this is detailed on page 4 of the battery's manual). Also, if you hear a folksy, quiet, yet haunting melody coming from your battery, that means it's working properly, so don't be alarmed.

I suspect that this is the 3500 - it is advertised as 2X original battery life.
And, in that case it is the same price.

only problem with those batteries is its hit or miss if you get a good one. I ordered the same exact ones for my OG Evo (pack of 2 batts and 2 covers for 20 bucks) but only one would hold an "extended" charge. The other held like the OEM battery.
Usually, you get what you pay for, just keep that in mind
I don't own one but if anyone is in the market for one. discount code is "evo3d3500mah"

I ordered one. I will be pulling the sticker back to see if there is any indication that this battery is less than advertised just like on my thread about the ebay batteries I got that were supposed to be 1850mah and under the sticker it said 1000mah. I will report back when I get it and update this post with my findings.
I have been ordering stuff from Handheld Items for awhile now since their stuff are cheap and shipping is pretty damn quick.
I was thinking about ordering this as well but in the end, I decided against it because quite simply, most of them all seem to be fakes for batteries like this. I ended up just ordering from Seidio since I don't want to waste another 18.99. Of course, if someone can confirm this is actually what it says to be, I could probably return the Seidio or sell it
Looks to be the exact battery selling on ebay for around $8-12. How fast is shipping usually with these guys?
For those who can wait 2-3 weeks, here's the ebay option:
http://cgi.ebay.com/3500MAH-Extende...ccessories&hash=item3f0c5c0c07#ht_5017wt_1163
I bought an extended battery for my Evo 4G from that seller and it worked fine.
I usually get my items from them in like a week.
Ordered on the 5th and it arrived on the 9th. Not bad. I pulled the sticker off of the battery and no where does it have any thing stamped on the metal like some cheap batteries will have a much, much lower mah than the sticker says it is stamped on them. I just got. It's charging now. Give me a couple days and I'll post how it is lasing so far.
Thanks for your update housry23, please keep us posted with your results.

Just got mine today. Haven't used it yet, but I can't use it with my external charger.
I got mine yesterday, charged it all night, so far it seems a little better (but maybe thats just me being hopeful). I'll keep testing it for a few days, wouldnt feel right making any claims until then, i have my doubts. Not sure i'll be able to deal with how big it is but if its actually a better/longer lasting battery, i may use it when i travel and stuff.
OK I've had mine a full week now and let me say, the honeymoon is over. After a few good charges this battery will have a 50/50 chance of NOT booting up and even if it does for some reason the power is so inconsistent that the phone seems to randomly cut off even at 98% power. I've recalibrated my phone a couple times and past the first couple days this battery has been horrible.
Sorry to hear that, are you going to request for an exchange? I could understand short battery life but to shut off.

Ill post what I think, although I don't think ill use it much since the stock gives me usually over 12 hours.

Not too impressed with the battery life so far, I charged it up to 96% and went out. I lost 10% the first hour wile the phone was in my pocket. Im under clocked with the screen off 432/ conservative. That's pretty much the same or worse than the stock battery. I would expect a maximum of 5% drain in a hour while the phone is sleeping, and that's being generous. I know southern87, its "13.99 ****ing crap" lol. Ill give it a few days to see how it goes.
The back door is definitely more sturdier than the oem battery cover, but of course, not as pretty. I like the uniform shape over the funky sedio sloped cover. Now I just need a TPU case to fit the phone now.
Just to be fair, the more I use the battery the longer it goes between charges. So all in all its worth the few bucks if you are willing to deal with the extra bulk of the phone. It'll come in handy for times like camping, biking/hiking with the gps running, etc.
Got myself this along with my friend. Just got a i717 and probably need some batteries from all those video playback i'll be doing. It's rated at 2800mAh seems pretty good! I'll post some results in next couple days!

I'm really curious about this one.
I wouldn't mind trying it just because we don't have NFC baked into our batteries.
Although I'm not sure how it will do vs. the OEM one
consider this is near the price of a single official battery, i think this is worth a shot!
Does this require a new battery cover? If not I might pick it up.

From what we can tell, yes. Just higher capacity w/ the same size.
One nice thing about this is that we get to keep our NFC while boosting the battery
Has anyone got this yet and tested it? It's very tempting... although my note's battery life is better than my skyrocket...
I highly doubt it actually has a higher capacity than the OEM battery. All of the aftermarket batteries I've tried, even though claiming to have higher capacities than OEM (2900mAh), have only been ~65-75% of OEM. They seem to have no problem lying. So the best deal so far seems to be the $3 batteries on ebay.
definitely report back with some results. I would love to know if they are atleast as good as OEM although I am always really skeptical about after market batteries as I have yet to find any that work as they claim....
I would love it if a 3000mAh could fit stock.
i would agree IF it really pans out to be a 3000MAh battery however if history dictates anything... it wont...
QCell has some good reviews on Amazon. And you also get a battery charger. I think it would be worth it

OEM are good no doubt but definitely not the best bang for the bucks. Consider price of one oem is 4 of these. Even if they are of 80% capacity of oem, it is still much more than original capacity combined
ran some tests for a week and these are faring very well. In fact with these two batteries I don't need to use my OEM ones anymore. Both batteries last as long as the OEM batteries I have. With these two, I can go out for a full day without worry of no power This is quite good of an investment for my i717 juice sucker.

I want a extra battery for i777.
Below is 4 batteries from Ebay, and I am not sure which is better.
I dont like the extensional battery which makes my phone thicker.
I have heard the internation battery 2000mAH for SG2 i9100 might fit on i777.
and the battery just 1mm thicker. is that truth?
The first and second look exactully like the original battery, but both of the seller told me they are not.

Which one you think is better? last longer low heat work great for the i777 Thank you!
without having any experience with those batteries, you most likely wont experience much gain in battery life even with the 1800mah. Its not enough extra juice to really make a difference.
That being said, I dont have experience with those specific batteries although i've tested others with no gain whatsoever.
As for the heat, I'm sure it wont matter either.
You should go for the 3000mah ones, they are somewhat a bit bulkier but they come with the back case for your phone. I heard they good and only cost about 8 bucks.

I recommend buying an additional 1650mAh battery which is built for the i777. All you've got to do is replace it when the juice runs out...
I say this because it's safer to use the genuine battery on the phone.
Are u trying to get another battery to replace your current battery and use it as a primary battery are do u just want a good spare /backup battery to throw in if ya phone dies or gets low?
