[Q] "Sony Ericsson" screen freeze :/ - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently installed a Miui ROM (MIUI pRiMe) and, when I rebooted after flashing using xRecovery, the phone freezes on the "Sony Ericsson" loading screen. How do I reverse this and get the phone back to normal?? Thanks for the help!

Restore the backup you made before flashing a new ROM, you did make one didn't you!
If not repair phone with seus or pccompanion

I'm having problems installing this ROM as well. When I flash the zip package I can't flash the kernel nor anything else. Thus, I get stuck on SE's logo too.
As said above, you can repair your device using PC Companion. Click on Update and then select Repair.

if you get the SE screen then it boots....
what you need to do is use pccompanion to repair your phone.
download it and follow the instructions
unless you have unlocked the bootloader you are NOT screwed..calm down and repair

I tried that. PC Companion won't even recognize that there is a phone connected.

Yea, when I clicked repair, I got as far as unplugging everything and holding the back key while plugging in again. After that is said that there was no software available yet. When I tried again, it wouldn't work at all...

When I connect my phone to my computer, it boots and I have the same logo, and it reboots, I tried to press the return button and it didn't work...
And I can't access to the repair function of PC Companion.
I hope you can help me...

Thats exactly what i did too everytime i brick my Xrecovery.
SEUS..
I tried all those softwares (PC Companion, SEUS, FlashTool) and nothing worked...
With SEUS and FlashTool, It seems to work, but in the end, I have an error message. With FlashTool the installation aborted and with SEUS a failure.
Could it be the battery? (I can't charge my phone...)
Try and diconnect the battery for a few minutes and plug the charger in again and leave it for a few hours.
If you take the back cover off there is a small rubber cover that can be carefully takem loose and beneath that cover you see a white plug and that is the batteryconnection to the phone.
I´ve bricked mine so many times now that I just leave that rubber cover off...

Plzzzzz help to fix my bricked X10 MINI

Plz help me out. I installed xperia mini rom in my x10 mini (by mistake) and now it is not going beyond Sony Ericsson logo.
I can't afford to loose my phone so please help me.
You're going to need to use the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) , downloadable from the Sony Ericsson website.
Thankx bt I have already tried that. The problem I encounter is that the software doesn't recognize my phone;-(

Did you try to hold the back button while connecting your phone to SEUS?
Hi, I need help too with my bircked phone. I can not flash firmware, also did not work for me SEUS nor PC companion.
From flashtool I got this message (atteched pic).
You need to unlock your bootloader to flash new kernels. It says so in the instructions. You can tell yours is locked by having a look at VER= right before the error. When you unlock your bootloader, that R turns into r. You won't be able to flash any kernel without unlocking it first, which will void your warranty.
How to unlock the bootloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254225
The info is all around, there's little reason to be banging against these issues...
With S1tool I cant get to flash mode, the led is red blinking. No green led.
Also before I bricked phone flashing nAa kernel I unlocked the bootloader.. But looks NOT
I already had similar problem and discovered that my issue was caused by build.prop file. When I installed a rom from other device the phone was not starting because build.prop was not correct.
I supose you had usb-debuging active so while stuck at the logo try to use a program like "ADB mask controller" to check your build.prop. If you see minmi there then it's incorrect, for X10 mini it should be robyn. Replace the file
I just want to go back to stock rom. But SEUS nor PC companion not workin for me, coz I cant get to flash mode. I cant turn on my phone, I not see SE logo too.
Flash Mode normally works, you press the back button and insert the cable without letting go of the button. But to this when the applications requests it because the phone doesn't stay in flash mode unless there is activity.
After long pressed back button (>5 min.) I get to flashmode with SEUS, but then.. failed (pic below).
From PC Companion I get error too.
The main quastion - is it possible to unbrick my phone??? I almost gave up

[Q] device stuck at sony ericsson logo

well the story goes a bit like this my wifi didnt work so i used my clock work mod to kinda delete every thing on my x10min
and than i tried to turn the phone on again and the phone just got stuck at the se logo for somme resoen my phone wont start at flashmode
so i cant just flash a stock os and when i just plug the phone to my pc or wall chrger my phone just starts up and there isnt even a yellow
light blub that says hes rechrageing it just lights up and get stuck at se logo
plz help
It actually is possible to connect it to flashmode. Plug your phone to a computer, start flashing. It will ask you to get into flashmode. Then, with cable still plugged, do a hard reset by holding shutdown and home (middle) buttons at once. After some time, LED will turn on green and it's in flashmode. If it gets out of flashmode fast, then just do an extra hard reset when it just got into flashmode, i succeeded to repair my e10i this way.

Try a Repair with SEUS or PC Companion, maybe the ROM you got wasn't for your phone, it's fairly easy to mix up the ROMS with the similar names that SE gave their phones.
thanks so much guys as i turns out i got mixed with the roms but now my phone is up and running thhanks alot :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

[Q] Did I kill my X10? :(

So I upgraded to a custom ROM, everything appeared good.
I then did a factory reset via menu>settings. Phone didn't boot up past the Sony Ericsson splash screen.
So I rebooted it into recovery. Did another full wipe there. Still wouldn't boot past the splash screen.
It stayed on the splash screen for a few hours then is went off. Not it won't boot at all.
I can no longer get it to boot into recovery.
When I connect it to Flashtool nothing appears to happen except the red LED flashes twice quickly.
When I try to turn it on all that happens is the red LED flashes twice quickly.
When I plug it in after a couple minutes it boots to the Sony Ericsson splash screen, stays there for a while and then the screen goes off again.
What can I try? Any advice would be Great.

the red led flahes means it has very low charge left.
charge it for 1-2 hours and then try flashing stock firmware via flashtool.
If it doesnt work, then put the battery in other phone or external charger and charge it.
Then try to flash stock firmware.
Also, AFAIK you should not do a wipe from settings menu on a custom rom ( I might be wrong about this )

That's what I assumed, but it flashes red like that after being on the charger for 8 hours.
And the battery is not dead because I was getting multiday usage out of it last week.
But I will try what you suggested again. It is on the charger right now...

Honestly I'm not going to go out and buy another accessory for a phone that may or may not be dead (espesially since I would have to order it online).

OK I found someone that has an Xperia Play and it appears they both use the BST-41. I'm gonna see him tommorow. Hopefully with a fresh battery I can get it to boot into recovery...

x10 mini pro soft-bricked no tutorial helps

Hi i had x10 mini pro with unlocked bootloader, naA kernel and gingersony ROM. It was working fine for couple of weeks after unlocking bootloader and flashing new ROM, but now it didn't turn on (red light flashed three times and thats it) then i tried holding power + back key then led changed to orange, but it still didn't turn on. Then charged the battery for 2h the led turned to green, tried to turn on the phone vibrated the green led flashed once, but the black screen just keeps turning on with no logo and it's like in bootloop (i can hear the device being recognised by computer when USB is plugged in). Don't know tried Flashing original firmware with flashtool, original kernel, tried locking the bootloader, PC companion and SEUS they both download the software and everything flashes fine, but same bootloop is happening and i need to pull the battery out to stop it. Dont know what else i can do?

3 red flashes = low battery.
your symptoms sounds wierd are you sure you did all that correctly?
Flash stock firmware and leave it to charge for about a day.

I can flash with flashtool and PC companion and SEUS, but nothing helps, the same bootloop repeats. I don't know what else i can try i think it's hardbricked. What else i can try?

I had the same problem, and only i changed the battery for my K850i.
Try to charge the battery with a universal charger.
Other solution is flash stock kernel, beacuse nAa kernel i think dont work off charge.
you flashed a costuom kernel without unlocking your bootloder
unlock your bootloder
and than flash back to stock rom

This same issue has happened to me several times while installing custom ROM. One of your SW component is broken, when you dont know what went wrong, you should revert back to SE default rom using PC companion. Go to software update and then reset device. Follow the instructions. Once your device is back start with your R&D.
The issue seems to be because your device has custom ROM running on SEMC kernel.
You need to unlock your bootloader. Install nAa GB kernel and
Install the GB ROM. Let me know if you need the links.
i have tried unlocking bootloader, but it doesnt work, in flashtoold there's no option in plugins>unlock/run and msm7227_semc.bat doesn't work. Maybe i got it locked with nAa kernel, but i tried locking the bootloader after i have tried SEUS, flashtool and PC companion. Maybe i can flash something with flashtool to revive it?
