I am running cyanogen.
Sometimes my phone turns itself off overnight even though it has a charge. I use wifi and sometimes leave that on. I can't work out yet what is going on.
Has anyone else seen this?

This happened to me once, and it must have fix itself or something, any solutions?
How far does it get? Do you see the vibrant white text? Do you leave it plugged in when you tried turn it on?
My phone has a few bugs that have existed from factory. First off, I can't power on my device with the charger plugged in. Second, the when I plug my phone in when it's off, it seems to studder when recognizing the charger: led comes on for a second, goes off, and comes back on. Third, it never fully charges. It goes to 99%, discharges until 95%, and repeats until I unplug it. It also won't power on until there is atleast 19% on the battery. Finally, when powered on, it randomly freezes/reboots even when not in use. It seems like signal strength plays a role in this, when I'm on wifi and leave range it restarts a lot, same with roaming and mobile data. I'm thinking the issue could be the battery, does this sound plausible or am I just trying to talk myself out of sending my phone in? Pre-root, and I did several factory resets, and and since I have tried everything from new roms to wiping battery stats. It's the most stable its ever been right now, running Magnus' "honeycomb" rom or whatever it's called.
Anyone????

Quick answer: Speaking from personal experience I'm using my own version of the stock sense ROM. The device should never randomly reboot. I use Wifi a lot and have a weak signal at home (have an airave to help out) and the EVO 3D has never randomly rebooted on me or locked up.
More detailed: I remember reading the device will usually show a max charge in the 95-100% range. I wouldn't be concerned with this read out after charging the device.
I haven't noticed the other issues you've experienced.
I would suggest returning/exchanging it for another model. The easiest way to return/exchange is by being able to duplicate the steps/actions which cause the device to freeze/random reboot.
Hope that helps!
I like to charge my phone at night with my phone off. I bought the phone a little over a month ago, and I still haven't been able to achieve 100% charging it with the phone off. I charge it with the phone on, and it charges to 100%. Is anyone having the same issue? I considering taking it back, but I want to know if its a common occurrence. BTW I'm running UCLD3 deodexed with the stock kernel. If so let me know how you fixed the issue. Thanks in advance
Oh well, I guess I'm the only one having this issue.
I never charge my phone being off. Why dont you just leave it on to charge? Im also on ucld3 and i get to 100% everytime.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
yes from phone off, I would charge to 100% or full or whatever it reads, then turn it on and it would be on 99%...
So I started charging while off to "full" then powering on while still plugged in, and leave it to finish charging to 100 while on...
Been like that since as far back as i can remember...
Just because the off screen says full, doesnt mean its actually fully.
It would take an additional 1-3 mins for the OS to say "unplug charger"
I have Galaxy S plus, I know it is a pretty old device but still somehow sometimes i use it. It was turned off due to low battery. I left it for a charge. It got switched off during a phone call call. don't know if it was charged a bit or not. But now when I am Turing it on it is not turning up. and when i put it into charge it gets boot up onto lockscreen and shows 0% battery and turns off by it self and turns on again and again same thing happens. i would be thankful if anyone could help me out. Thanks.
hey,
i have been playing around with a few custom roms on my s3, tried to install CM11 messed it up, and installed a stock rom back over it, the phone was working fine on CM, but the battery would drain quick, random restarts, signal dropping ect. this carried on even when i flashed the stock rom back onto it, i have managed to find a kernel that has fixed all these problems
The only problem i have been having is when the phone is turned off and charging, i cant turn the phone on, if i unplug the charger the charging screen stays on, it turns on normally after i take the battery out, and also charges absolutely fine when its turned on.
*EDIT* S3 I9305
i was wondering if anyone had any idea what this could be?
