I like some of the Themes listed in the Wiki but one question I have is can these be installed over the stock rooted Sprint ROM or do I have to flash a different ROM first?
Thanks.
Most of the "themes" are for cm7. There are a few for stock/stockesque (mik roms). In order to use a theme or rom you need to be rooted, s-off, with a custom recovery installed.
Always double/triple check what flavor (sense or aosp) of the theme you are going to apply... Mixing and matching sense and aosp can make your phone act silly...

I would suggest a different ROM not stock rooted Sprint ROM. Install a ROM compatible with whatever theme (sense 1.0 ROM if its a theme made for it or cm7 if its theme chooser app). Don't try flashing a sense 1.0 theme over sense 2.1 for example, its not going to work.

It depends on what theme... if its a flashable zip theme, you SHOULD be able to flash the original rom over it without harm (you will have to delete bloat/apps again) but if the rom contains wipe scripts you will start over from scratch... cm7 themes are changeable in the theme chooser...

Does anyone have a working flashable zip for the Atrix? I've tried the transparent status bar and carrier logo mods but they never install correctly.
I'm on the stable CM7 if that matters. Thanks!

What are you looking for? A flashable zip for a transparent status bar or just any flashable zip?
Honestly I'm not sure...hahaha. I mostly want to have the custom carrier logo and I went back and forth with the guys on that thread, made the tweaks myself (which didn't work) and even had one of them do it for me. But when their zip file didn't work either they said it was probably not built right for my phone. So I'm looking now for a flashable zip that someone has successfully used on an Atrix so I can drop the new SystemUI.apk in there and flash it.
ROM Toolbox can achieve a transparent status bar, never tested on the Atrix. Careful & BU I bootlooped trying to replace 4g grey sq. There's a great Atrix theme guide here somewhere too.

Think I answered your question on atrixforums too but look at nottachs theme thread for his flashable cwm time. Thn go into one of the meta scripts and change ext3 to ext4.

Bloatware
Info: For those, who are not aware of differences between ODEXED and DEODEXED, most of custom rom are DEODEXED, because deodexed rom it's easier to customize, while ODEXED is a native state of any stock rom and odexed rom boots up faster and runs snappier.
For advanced users: all apk and jar files in odexed rom are been signed with some hash (it's still not completely clear to me) generated from combination of most of files from /system/framework folder. So all files in such rom are binded to each other, and if to replace any of in /framework folder to inappropriate, phone will not boot. Consequences from replacing apk in /system/app folder may vary from not working app to bootloop depending on vital necessity in this particular file. Nevertheless, you can have a regular deodexed apks in a middle of odexed ones in /system/app folder. Thus, to mod a jar from framework one will have to re-odex the whole rom, and to mod an apk from app folder one will have to re-odex this apk, or deodex and use in that way.
As always, for the first use full wipe is required.
nonSense patch is in the second post in Common section.

Any one test this with the latest faux kernel?
Also, any one on TMo USA flash this ROM? I ask because the the base ROM is not a TMo one.
Many thanks.

faux will not work latest one anyway. will not get wifi or data for that matter i tried with a tmobile unlocked phone. i use att sim and i only get edge. i know my phone has the 3g bands but i dont think the rom supports it.
bc any tmobile rom i use gets 3-4g speeds just fine. other than that the rom is excellent.

Huh, You get 3G-4G speeds using the Amaze 4g on AT&T. Really?
I could have sworn the frequency was different, at least for the 3g network, for TMobile and AT&T. Can anyone else verify this?
Also, your wifi isn't working with faux kernel? Does it work if you flash the kernel included in the OP?

It looks so.
I've got some FC on first boot, but after uninstalling 2G switch and performing fix_permissions everything flies on my phone.
New camera is cool, I like it.
Linpack about 55/80, Quadrant 2664 (overclocking?)

read notes it the first post
i downloaded the updated version (v1r2) and putted it on my SD card. I went into recovery menu and tried flashing it. then it said "E: Can't open /sdcard/OneGoodRom_V1r2.zip (bad)"
Any suggestions?
EDIT: i tried flashing V1, and then the update, and it worked
Also, joey, do you have a script for the paginated app drawer? i actually liked the paged style
This is a very speedy, and excellent ROM
what does the update actually add?
