Help! I want to take advantage of the Gameloft sale, but I can't seem to find the right device for the Rezound to download it?! Help! The Rezound is not in the device list, at least for the games I want, like Nova 2 and Modern Combat 2... Any suggestions?

most likely they have not updated their games to the 1280x720 resolution, might take some time
seems like most phones will have a 720+ resolution now so its really only a matter of time
Ah my favorite game modern combat 2 i got it download and run but something is off with the movements but brothers in arms works perfectly and 9mm

Yes, and I also found a method of installing it on my phone by changing the build.prop temporarily. I know you already got a version of build.prop to work too, but for those who haven't yet...
Just backup the stock build.prop somewhere and modify the copy to show the following:
ro.product.model=Desire HD
ro.product.brand=htc_wwe
ro.product.name=htc_ace
ro.product.device=tenderloin
ro.product.board=ace
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a
ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi
ro.product.manufacturer=HTC
Don't miss the duplicate first line further up until the build.prop and Clear data from Google Services Framework and Market before reboot. You should now be able to install games that were previously "incompatible".
This method tricks Market into thinking you have a Desire HD. The only side effect I noticed, until I restored the original build.prop, was the blues on my camera showing as red.

I can confirm that changing the build.prop works and I have been able to download and play Gameloft games. I did also have the issue with the camera colors being off.... thought I accidentally hit an effect for the camera...
there is rezound support
Gameloft.com it is under HTC Vigor
Ok so I edited the build prop as shown, download and installed "BIA2", even was able to download the extra content, but the game wont open. Anybody have any ideas why. Could it be i'm on a custom rom.

Hey guys,what's up?
So,question one is about Gameloft's games.I am getting a Galaxy S 2 some time soon,so this "issue" came up.I want to buy some games from Gameloft,but I saw that downloads are device specific.Now,if I buy,let's say,Assasin's Creed for my Desire HD,will I be able to download it again for free on my Galaxy S 2(If it works,don't care,it's just an example)or will I have to rebuy it?
Question two is in regards to FPSE.I bought it yesterday from the Market and face issues.Well,I open it,change some settings,set a bios and run a game(Digimon World 3 ).The moment the game is running my settings are reset.This also happens when I change the settings(only set bios and country) and restart the app.It's like I just downloaded it.What the heck is wrong?I realised it had problems after two hours,so a refund was not possible.Plus,today's update didn't fix anything.Any ideas?
Thanks!
In case someone decides to answer,I have another problem.
I bought Asphalt 6 HD from market.I start it and it downloads some 500mb of files it needs to my SD card,but when it's done and I press "OK",instead of running it fc's.Not that I manage to read the message that appears on screen,it goes away almost instantly.All I get is a black screen,the said message and voila,I'm back to my app drawer.Any ideas? :\
I thiiiiiink Asphalt doesn't work on GalaxySII. I haven't tried personally but in the GSII forum there is a thread on what games work and its definitely on the 'does not work section...'

Firstly thanks for answering,I was a little discouraged with the support I didn't get on the topic!
Secondly,I know that it doesn't work on the GS2(that's if you don't use Chainfire3D).I am trying this on my Desire HD,the Galaxy S 2 arrives tomorrow.It also says that the download fails and I have to continue but it seems broken for some reason.Pretty ****ed up.
I brought my HTC Evo 3D from sprint and the spiderman 3D game from gameloft was there. I upgraded and brought the full game, now my phone is rooted with a new rom. Can i some how get the spiderman 3D game back on my new rooted phone?
Gameloft game's are device specific. They have a different APK file for every device, and each different APK file will ask their servers for a slightly different set of SD' files.
When you buy a game off them for a certain device, they will let you download the same APK as many times as you like. But they will not let you buy for one device, then download the APK for another device later.
Unless you bought the game from the android market of course, buy from there you can download as many times as you like from as many different devices as you like.
A theory why Gameloft games don't appear on the Android market all that much.
If you bought the Desire HD version from gameloft and it doesn't work I would contact them.
If you didn't and got the APK elsewhere, its version 3.0.9 you need for the desire hd, if you got any other version it would of downloaded the wrong SD files and would explain why it doesn't work.

Yeah...Well,thanks dude.But this thread has been long buried and forgotten.I've found the answer,no problems now.I gotta admit though,not being able to download the apk as many times as you want is a little bullshitty.

From my experience it does not do anything bad, it just make more apps compatible, for example gamelofts apps. I have several games installed like that, right now my nook has the original build.prop that comes with the latest nightlies and the games still work. So you just need to edit it for the first run.
I am getting alot of PM,s on build prop. Here is my original posting on getting gameloft games to work. Hope this helps.
yes, mc3 works but you must change the build prop but only if you have rooted the Sony. Model=A500 Brand=acer Name=picasso_generic1 device=picasso
Save then reboot
Games working; 9mm Modern combat 3 tintin Gt racing And a few more David.

If you change for other model, is possible to play all games /apps?
Good question. I was going to try samsung tab but since my build prop worked I decided to leave it.
All games are working with this build? And PSN store?
How can i edit? I tried with build.prop - open with text editor and save ,and nothing changed
there's a program called root toolbox or rom toolbox.. something like that. It's good a pretty intuitive built in build.prop editor
I can confirm that ps store works with this build prop. Make sure that you have rooted because if not then you will be unable to save the build prop
Ok thanks. One more question, with the build changed, the market should assume i have an acer a500 but not, market continue to assume that i have a sony s tablet.
For example NOVA 2 and other android games don't appear
Very odd. Ive just checked and nova 2 shows up. Double check your build prob to make sure it has saved correctly.
Here N.O.V.A. 2 don't appear, build is ok
Do you think is because i'm from Portugal? And portuguese market don't have?
I only have a few gameloft games, uno, asphault, real football, brother in arms
Possibly. Maybe it is some sort of region thing. Strange that we are in the same region though, unless it is different. Sorry cant advice any further on that. I will dig around and try find out
I tried some programs to change market region and nova stil don't appear, so i think it should be a compatible problem, market is assuming i have a sony s tablet, but my proper build is changed because i can play games like tintin gameloft etc...

I have a Gtab with a ice rom, I was able to down load but when I try to run nova 2 hd says in compatable request refund would changing these lines help with something like this or is it because of a memory issue. Any idea where I could look for a answer.
Hello XDA.
I have done every possible thing, but I just can't make this game work on ICS. Is this a general problem or what?
If someone knows a fix, please post it here!
Some details: The game launches, shows me the yellow EA icon, takes me on to the opening cutscene, then loads and plays menu music, which has a slight lag in the beginning of it. Then nothing... After a while the phone kills the app, no error message.
Again ICS is not yet released you have a buggy beta test rom multiple problems .

Real racing 2 doesn't work on gingerbread, nevermind ICS.
Unless they have recently updated it, it crashes a few seconds into a race.
The work around was to not use cockpit view.... But this is the one I wanted to use.
The comments on the android market seemed to show similar problems from users with SGS2.

Kinda funny. They make the best game on Android (imo) and then they break it.
Way to go, EA/Firemint
I've just read a comment saying it's finally fixed for SGS2
Time to give it another go

Agreed, I've had consistent FC's with Real Racing and that goes back to GB ROMs. You'd think EA would either update their software or take it off the Market. Bummer too, Real Racing is a kickass game in iOS. I'm on a i777.
I know this is in the galaxy s2 section, but it works perfectly on my HTC sensation, and I'm on ics now. So it's not the os at fault, but could it be to do with the tegra chip or some other hardware compatibility issue in your phones?
not for me either
Hi this game didnt work for me either im running
Galaxy s2 i900
Ics 4.7.3 final rom with siyahs 3.2.3+ rom
Same problem installed great downloaded updates all 9??mb of it only for it to load and fc on me too first i heard of this game looked awsome too
Ah well

Have same problem after ICS update, tried to reach EA several times and no success. Also tried to refund on Google Plaay for the Real Racing 2 and no success..
So we have to wait an update, or a work around solution.
There is a new version floating around which works on ICS. Real Racing 2 v1.11.4.000540 HD. It is not available in the Google Market (play store) yet.

Compalitible with Galaxy S2 ?
Real Racing 2 is available free for the Galaxy S3 on the Samsung App Store. This Version did run on my GNEX as well. I had to sideload the 400 mb data file and turn wifi off. Otherwise a stupid alert would pop up.
Works on the S3 perfectly. Works on the GNEX with the workaround. I cannot comment on the S2 behaviour...
Bearing in mind that there IS a version running on ICS, we should see somthing on the Google Play Store as well...
version 0.00540
this version works just downloaded and i didnt actualy start playing but it went further then previus when it freezed after intro video
search for this on google becouse i cant post the lnk..
Mod Edit: Removed link because of warez
I need to know can i play "Asphalt 7: Heat and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline" on Live With Walkman WT19? I know if i go to the Asphalt 7: Heat and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline play store app pages using play store app, it display i can install and it compatible with LWW. But according to my previous experiences I can't trust "Gameloft" games. Three months ago I purchased "Modern Combat 3", and another "Gameloft's game" but when i try to run the game, it display this device not compatible with this game, please refund the money.
So anyone else purchased and run Asphalt 7: Heat or "Asphalt 6: Adrenaline" and successfully pay on LWW?
Thanks!
build.prop edit
All of those games works fine Wt19i but idk why gameloft games say this.
To make the games work you must root your phone and edit the build.prop
1.Open root explorer and navigate to /system/build.prop
2.Then find thease 2 lines:
ro.product.brand=SEMC
and
ro.product.model=wt19i
3. Edit them like so:
ro.product.brand=Samsung
And
ro.product.model=GT-i9100
After doing this restart the try to run the games.:good:
asphalt 6 working without problems on XMP sk17 (bulid.prop is original not edited)
It will work without any problem on gb but when playing on ICS you will see
Some red lines on display. For screenshots go to my old threads.
I specifically downgraded my phone to GB only for the games.
I have running my phone 800mhz, than also its running smooth without any lag.
If you are on ICS please dont waste your money else downgrade to GB.
Any yes i dont find any game not compatible woth our devices.
Almost all game should work.
