Am going to get Sensation XE soon , it has 1.5 dual core processor , adreno 220 gpu and 768 mb ram.
Now the question is tat wether 768 ram wud be enough for me to play HD games...will the games lag a lot on this phone ?
I think it's beyond enough. Period.
Curious, Sensation XE isnt cheap at all, why you choose that instead of other devices?
I think something like Atrix, Optimus 2X, Evo 3D lies on the same level with it right?
Atrix and Optimus 2X both benefits from the newer Cortex A9 and Atrix has a even higher 1Gb Ram, while Evo 3D same processor with XE, alongside with a massive 1Gb Ram too. AFAIK, that 300Mhz wont be a big difference in gaming.
768 is the perfect amount imo, I owned an incredible s and that was what it had, and I could never get it to run out of ram, especially once I put cyanogenmod on it.
To tell you the truth, you would never notice a difference between 768mb and 1gb.

the more RAM the better!
What i meant about the psp is that its not only about the amount of ram, its about how is used.
Though is great to have that much ram, if used poorly(crappy apps, etc) i would suck as a 128

just searched and it "tombstones" apps, task switching so it doesn't need much memory for that.
App switching is a lot different from multitasking
Multitask: multiple applications running at the same time
Task switch: leaving an app open in idle state while u open a new one
Am i right? If so then the second doesnt need much ram at first but consumes more ram over time(i think, i dont really reasearch, i just talk on experience or other things ive heard)

yeah it basically dehydrated it so it is esentially using no memory.
Puts it into a state and just remembers the state.
It isn't actually running multiple apps simultaneously.
For an example, I took dehydrate apps off of my wp7 and with 5 graphic intensive games open it only gets to 30 Mb peak memory usage haha
That is closer to TRUE multitasking then dehydrating apps is as well.

well TRUE multitasking has its benefits too..
Taking off "dehydrate on pause" made it act the same though imo, It acts just like true multitasking it just freezes the app and starts right where it was instantly.
There is a five app limit though.

Yes the iPhone has light sensors. Of course it does. The iPod touch has it, and even MacBooks. Just because Apple took the closed approach to their software does not mean they have bad hardware. iPhone hardware is top notch.

Lol, I find Apple haters immature. If you look at the history of computing, Apple has played a pretty major role. Sure, I might not like how they do some things, but I respect them and their products, some of which have literally been revolutionary, hate Apple or not. For example, OS X (yeah I'm a big fan). I find OS X so polished that I spent 5 hours a day for a month getting it fully running on my XPS laptop (although I was a noob at the time, the same task now would take me a couple of days).

Same. Have had some wifi connectivity issues but other than that everything works. Battery life sucks but that will get better as development progresses. Facebook sync not working is bugging me but I'm assuming that's on FB's side, they need to pick up the slack. I can live without a camera for a short time but since my girlfriend lives in another state currently, camera for video chat is a must.

I understand that it is miles behind the Intel Core iX series, but the fact that I'm using it for emulation in an old arcade machine and the price I paid makes it more then justifiable. Got the CPU, a good motherboard, a Cooler Master radiator, and 2 huge fans for it, all for around $250. I'm using the hard drives, DVD ROM drive, power supply, and old ati x1300 from my old computer (the ASUS motherboard decided to crap its own BIOS out).
Don't ask me why I'm still using an x1300, unless you can find me a true ATI HD 4xxx, I need it to display the 15khz horizontal refresh the arcade monitor needs to sync.

I been Flashing and Flashing, been switching roms and kernels,
it seems like ICS do not fit to our phone right now, even the official release i think it's like an unfinished update because of the double application or bloat wares lying around do you noticed that?
then something caught my eye, i read that sony state that GB is more better than ICS in their products and also samsung believes it too.
now i just want to know together with you guys what would you choose? i've been thinking if i woud go back to GB these past few days..
Just use GB for stability dude -_-
But ICS offer many great features that GB doesnt have
For me, Gingerbread is a lot better than ICS for ray.
The speed and the performance is a lot better although the UI of ICS is better one.
Just to compare, when you turn on your phone in gingerbread, you get ~220MB of ram. In ics you get not more than 160MB. The lags when playing hd games makes me get a terrible headache.
P.S I hate when my friend compared his galaxy nexus with mine running ics. So I flashed back to Sony's great gingerbread.

I have never gotten that much free RAM in GB ROMs.
I'm currently on ICS and I can live with it, it lags a little from time to time but it's no big deal. Really liking the UI, especially the App Drawer.
GB is better in the sense of performance and stability.
1. wrong forum (Q&A)
2. Free mem is USELESS (wasted mem), caching = win! (meaning ICS = win)
3. ICS is the future, at some point some new apps wont run on GB
4. to awnser your question, try out JJ's rom, its stable, fast, and battery friendly
my 2 cents
grs SRKI
I have no problem with ics. It's smooth enough for me if you update it properly. But some note though. With ICS, i think there will be lag here and there if you apply kernel tweak from supercharger script. After I decided to retain only the oom level and uninstall the kernel tweak, it's a lot faster again.

Gingerbread is much smoother in general and games have better performance and run more smoothly. ICS has more features and arguably the UI looks better. I'm staying on GB until someone manages to make ICS run at least as smooth as GB.
Reminds me of when I updated from Windows XP to Vista, do you want a few more features and better looking UI? Be prepared to deal with a slower system and apps not running as fast as before.

Happy now. Mine is low too. Stock Rom unrooted. But the others are right. Benchmark's are pointless. I know my phone is fast by the way it performs, not by what some program tells me. I also think that result is wrong. Now I'm not a programmer or anything, and don't even know what half of that **** is. But judging from the other scores, it's probably a bug in the program that's scoring that one result wrong. All the others look fine, just that one.

EDIT: Btw, comparing my scores with the the one from the guy above, there's a huge difference... Not that it matters anyways... Its only numbers...

Thank's man...
Well this doesn't test the sd card,it tests the /data partition that's why these scores look like something to be worrired about...
HEre is mine,
this app has no option to select internal /external separately
My values are totally on par with published photos (I got worried too, then I found this thread, God bless search) - I even changed ROM from InsertCoin to CyanogenMod 10.1 to see if it changes anything. It doesn't. Thanks for info, OP.
Galaxy S3 international, btw, I forgot how my signature looks like, lol...
Does that help ? got it yesterday while testing out lagfix (which i can say it does nothing for us, as we have proper trim support in our emmcs)
ps: Benchmarks are stupid, they don't mean anything and they can easily be faked with just the right settings / variables.

But according to specifications provided the phone has 1gb of ram which is why i bought this phone. Does anybody else have this problem...?

My previous phones used to show exact ram memory in apps section.

Which previous phone models? Please list.
Every android reserves some RAM space for its internal processing depending on configurations, features and apps preinstalled. The reserved space is also in constant use. Some smart developers discovered RAMHACK Methods to exploit and save some RAM from it for many other models. Example O2X.
Sorry but No need for discussion for this common thing in all androids.

Dude. You mean storage?
Because 64gb of ram sounds much.... too much for daily use.
And to awnser thats normal windows 8 takes likes 20gb and then im being kind.
And yea was gone ask the same question why we only have 768 mb. Why other phone like galaxy s3 or htc one x. Have like 820 more.
And they have bigger procesor... why we miss so much ram...
Hope some ram hack. To have more ram. Runs always out off ram
Maybe its a good thing that less ram is available to us and more to system. Ive noticed that this phone is much more smoother and less laggy than my pass phones with same 1gb ram but with newer 1.5ghz dual core snapdragon s4 processor like the one s.

The reason why not all of the RAM is available for processes is either because something is mounted to a RAM-Disk, or the memory chunk is used as a frame buffer for the display.
this is bull**** anyway. everyone says that processor is using this 250 but as you dive in, processor and natice functions like system uses 250 of this 750. so you have like 500 free ram as most.

Ya, it sucks a little.
I think giving more ram to processor is good thing because i have noticed that my phone is much smoother than my friends androids such as htc desire x, experia p.
Do you think
after getting gelly bean update(which is promised by LG in first 6 months of 2013) is our LG P765 hardware capable enough to run upcoming android 5.0 i.e. key lime pie.
