If you have no solution and have unlocked bootloader, then try installing a custom kernel.

not sure about xRecovery, but you need a kernel compatible with the rom. so the answer should be, no.
I've downloaded FXP 150 CM 7.2 rom zip file
It contains the following folders & a sin file :
1. META-INF
2. system
3. kernel.sin
Now what do I do??
How do I install the Rom on my x10
My bootloaders unlocked
& I've even tried ALL roms out there including jelly bean roms
.
Problem is I never tried any of fxp's roms due to their complicated procedure of bundling & installing
But want to try them now
.
Please can anyone show me a step by step procedure for installing the above mentioned Rom
Thanks in advance

Put the FXP CM7 150 zip you download on your SDcard take you phone off and flash this:http://ul.to/n9bjkpvv using flashtools and then go to recovery and flash the FXP CM7 150. I am assuming that your bootloader is unlocked right? since you have flashed jellybean before.

Hi again .
CWM and xrecovery are both recovery versions used to flash new ROMs. You can only use one or the other. Assuming you are on stock kernel, install xrecovery as described in many tutorials.
CWM comes preinstalled with pretty much all custom kernels, which you can only use with an unlocked bootloader.

No, not at all. CWM and xrecovery are basically the same thing. What I meant was that, if you are on a custom kernel, you don't have to install CWM again, because it is already preinstalled. You don't have to unlock your bootloader to flash a custom ROM, all you need is root and xrecovery.

I don't think that trying CM7 on a stock GB kernel (or even stock based custom kernel) is a good idea. The rom will boot properly, no doubt about that but you will most likely get fc's.
