[Q] Which Radio Rom - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I currently have the stock 2.10.50.26 Radio Rom on my USA HD2.
Are there any advantages or disadvantages on updating to the 2.15.50.14 Rom? Any pros and cons?

Thanks

you wont know till you try, what helps for some has no effect / is worse for others. if your reception and signal works, dont mess with it.

Advantages and disadvantages of 1.60 rom

I have O2 xda2, I would like to know opinions/findings from people who have upgraded the rom both with the radio and without radio. Is it worth doing.?

Upgrade Radio Rom on it's own?

Hi, I'm new to all this exciting stuff so I apologise if I'm asking a silly question.
I have an O2 XDA2 which is upgraded to WM5 but the radio signal strength is not too good compared to other phones I'm using. Would upgrading the Radio ROM make any difference and can I upgrade this ROM on it's own? If it would improve things could you point me to a place that gives me an idea in how to do the upgrade.
Thank you for any help you can give ^_^
Currently
ROM Version 1.60b.96WWE
ROM Date 04/22/05
Radio Version 1.05.12
Protocol Version 1337.12

Is there a best rom/radio?

Is there a best rom or radio version? It seems like there are problems will all of the files, they just don't effect everyone.
Is upgrading your radio only less risky than doing the complete ROM?

[Q] Criteria for good voice quality in Europe (Finland)

Hi Chaps
I'm absolutely sure the answer has already written somewhere here. I just used couple of hours to find it without success....
What are the principals I need to understand when I want to flash latest cooked ROM with the good voice quality without any noise or stuttering?
I live in Europe (Finland). Do I need to flash only ROMs which are based on 1.66 ROMs or is it purely a radio issue? Can I flash ROMS which are besed on 1.72, 1.80 or 2.xx?
Thanks for your information already?

Hey, what you should look for is a good radio ROM for your area. Sorry I can not say which is best in Finland.
Most people who upload the cooked ROM's, recommends the SPL version you should use and which radio version you should use.
Good luck!
all the radios will work on your phone. What is great for one person may be rubbish for the next person, so you just have to try them until you find one that works for you.
If you flash a custom rom that unlocks the extra ram, then you need to use only radios with ..50.. in the version number.
For me, (UK) my two best radios are 2.07.51.x and 2.10.50.x
I can reccomend the following.
For me (living in Vantaa) i use radio 2.12.50, most of the .50 range work fine...
Try to avoid the .51 radios, I have heard nothing but trouble on those for our devices.
I have been using Energyz romz, I can recommend those, 23xxx build or the 21xxx, or the newer 24xxx buils work perfectly.
Choose your flavour and off you go..
Have a dig around you will find enuff info for your reading pleasure...
Android Builds differ from build to build, for Finland I can say that the 2.11.50.20 and the 2.12.50.02 radios are fine, good quality for listening volume etc...I have had good results with Latest Darkstone (Froyostone) build.
But you will need to apply some tweaks to get the most out of the battery.
Hope this helps..

[Q] Euro Titan stock radio

I'm using Dynamics7 v1.21 ROM on my Titan and it's great, but sometimes I feel that signal strength is worse than it was with stock rom.
So I'd like to know if it is possible to flash older radios from stock Mango ROM, like 16.23.02.09_ 2_16.24.00.23U, 16.23.02.09_ A_16.24.00.23 or 16.23.03.17_16.27.00.23.
I don't know which one was the original radio I had on my Titan.
If it is possible, could anyone provide a download???
