To all who expect an ETA/deadline for the bootloader - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

Stop bothering us, we're working on it that's all you really need to know. Just relax and enjoy the tablet itself. Ok? We're not your personal servants, we're just regular people with other things in our lives going on than just developing. Basically, GET THE HELL OFF OUR BACKS. Kthx.

Thanks to you, and all the dev's who devote your time and effort then share to all the masses. Wish some people would get that and be a little grateful at the very least. If you guys ever need a tester let me know otherwise you will see my thanks button clicked as many times as I can.

No one is on YOUR back. If you don't want the 400$ then don't mess with it period. Neither you nor any other dev has the right to tell me what to do with my tablet. If i want a unlocked bootloader in the next seven days then I have the right to ask for it period.
Please dont participate by any means

What he is saying is that YOU aren't doing it. Begging for bootloader unlocks and offering money won't get it done any quicker. The people developing / hacking this device do it because they want to, not for money. By asking for it to be done you are asking the developers, and Indirect is one.

What you're offering amounts to minimum wage if you consider the person works on it for 8 hours a day for the next 7 days. On top of that, you are rude and have a strong sense of self entitlement. The developers do it out of personal self interest. Any other incentives are just icing on the cake.

There are likely many people working on this and there are probably more than the vocal few here or associated with this site. I think some people can appreciate the work being done while also knowing that those telling others about progress and status aren't the only ones doing some work on this device which is why the OP just threw an offer out.
There also seem to be a great number of people blindly following people just due to words they say, and as they say, talk is cheap. Excitement is one thing but it wouldn't hurt to know what they are getting excited about sometimes.
Personally I've been using Linux or *nix based operating system daily for 10 years and it's just a little bit disappointing sometimes to see a general lack of knowledge related to Linux when it comes to some pretty basic things that relate to Android and getting anywhere with it from "hacking". And I literally am just a user and absolutely do not write code, just copy and paste it about when there are things to fix at the very extreme. The solution here without getting "the key" is going to come from someone writing the code to make it work and maybe $400 or $500 or beyond will bring a person to spend some time on it where they normally wouldn't.

Another point, if he has the 400 to offer and the 250 to spend on it, why not just buy a full on android tablet?

All I can say is thanks for making my NT usable in the first place! Without the sideloading/root ability it would be practically useless. Devs adding even more function would just be icing on the cake, so no sweat.

Just to set the record straight, you're only hearing from the impatient vocal ones. There's a lot more of us sitting quietly on the sidelines cheering you guys on.

Number one rule of android- do not ask for ETA's!

LOL I am begging for a bootloader unlock? How about I am trying to get more than ONE developer working on the Nook Tablet. You do realize we had 30+ on the Nook Color right?
Your comments are flaming and just down right wrong. Look up the definition of begging in the dictionary and I promise you won't find offering to pay someone to do a job in the definition.
I love how you think EVERY dev is only here for fun, which is complete BS. Probably 50% of devs are here to develop for THEMSELVES, and just release to the public because they are good people. Then another 40% do it for cash, and then you have the 10% who do it just because they are bored. All I am offering is someone besides the 1 dev we have to look at the problem, and if they break it give them a reward.
Like I said in the post if you don't want to try, then don't. No one is holding a gun to your head.

I have 300$ wrapped up in my nook tablet, and it has to be returned by next monday. Once I pay shipping back then spend hours researching a new tablet I will easily have more than 400$ in it.
I loved the nook color, and I bought the Nook Tablet because I was told by 2 different BN employees that it was unlocked (before we had any devs).
My returning the NT because I was lied to is my choice, period.
Like I said if you don't want to participate in the reward, then DON'T.
But my guess is, if you broke the bootloader u would be loudly demanding the reward, as would Indirect and everyone else who is complaining.

I am not flaming. You are requesting a bootloader unlock way too soon. These things take time. Why not just return it, then wait for a bootloader unlock to come out, then buy it again? Or just buy a full out android tablet?

Wow. So 12 posts, $400 bucks and you own the joint.

I very well may do that, but would rather not go to the hassle of packaging it back up and shipping it back to BN and dealing with that whole mess. Then spending hours research which other tablet I want to buy. I loved the NC and the NT has the potential in doing the same. We need devs here first and foremost and none are going to come without incentive.
For me I want try and get some more devs to the NT so we have a chance at a decent device. One dev isn't going to make it that and having a locked bootloader will make sure no others come if there isn't an incentive. If you don't believe me about the devs go check out the Droid Bionic. Killer hardware, locked bootloader, out for several months and a total of 3 devs whose hands are tide because of the crappy kernel

Return the NT and leave a comment to the CTO of BN telling them they have a crappy product with a locked bootloader. Complaining on Xda will get you nowhere. You could employ your own personal dev to unlock the bootloader, but don't use money to entice devs Xda members. EOS.

New email replies from HTC on the bootloader situation.

Came from a friend on another forum:
The bootloader will be unlocked, it's just a matter of when; we're trying to get it ready to release and hope to have this soon. Our official announcements, since this is a priority situation, will go directly to our social media outlets when they're ready (like the previous announcements). You'll hear about it when I do. I do hope that it is soon for you.

I don't see any evidence that their definition of soon matches with my definition of soon...it is a relative term, after all.
I'm going err on the side of caution, unfortunately. They have 2 weeks.
Regardless of time frame, we are all at the mercy of HTC sadly enough

Everyone is rather impatient here. I understand it, but It is not like a company can output a perfect unlocked everything for a phone overnight without bricking a large number of them. It takes time.
I apologize for the repeat thread. Half these threads present have people up in arms and intending to return the phone. So I posted a new thread in hopes of lighting up the mood.

I would imagine it has more to do with appeasing partners (read: Sprint) than it has to do with technical hurdles...though I'm sure there is still a redundantly redundant amount of testing involved. Most of it is probably policy and politics than anything else.

Thats not how they are going to do it simple as that. I asked given xHausx suggested they just post up a firmware.zip on their site for those that wish to flash and get the ENG bootloader flashed and achieve s-off. Their response was that "...that is not the way they choose to fix the problem, and they will do so with a OTA software update.."
end of story is that it WILL get done, but there is no ETA as they NEVER provide ETA's specifically. And they do this b/c there is no telling what problems might arrise while developing the fix. If they said 2weeks and ran into an issue and got delayed then there would be another uproar tossed at them.
Also why when they say they are releasing a new OS update they usually say by the end of X qtr. so they have a TON of leway.

If teamwin does it great. However I would be very surprised if there weren't strings attached to HTC's solution and no thanks to that. If the SGS2 would be announced for a pre-September release date the 3D is going back.

Well, in if that happens in 2 months from now you and the 3 remaining devs will have a blast I'm sure. This technology moves way too fast for delays like this. The first 30 days is a given, return period, time to root, etc...but this time we are up against heavy duty security for heavy duty securities sake.
While I do exaggerate a bit my point remains. We don't have time to wait as much as you think we do...developers want to develop, and when they put a commitment into a device, well, not being able to develop a god damned thing for that device is kinda a turn off. Few of our best ROM developers are also the low-level guys doing the heavy lifting and intense probing and testing required to attain root/s-off...there is an overlap, yes, but most of these guys just want to make a rom or work on a kernel, and that is to say nothing of the theme guys who operate as creative talent before technical talent...
This is an elaborate ecosystem of skills and talents here. If you happened to be one of us lucky ones in the EVO4G community from the beginning you should know that it was a bunch of coincidence and a pre-release root (and the happenstance of Sprint getting its first kickass superphone--now a regular event)...so don't expect that magic to sit around waiting for this phone to be opened up.
I'm not saying it can't happen, but that there were a lot of factors that went into it happening last time--just having a decent phone and a forum weren't what made it happen.
Let me start by saying yes, I am dying to have root myself. I miss cm7, wireless tether, even stock themes, tb, and a whole list of things (my ORD is definitely flaring).
Now let me go on to my real point. All you "omg they have two weeks" people... Is the phone really that unusable as it is? My old hero, I couldn't live without root for overclocking. My shift originally ticked me off with crappy old sense, and then I didn't understand why they didn't make the new update sense 3.0. This phone, at least for now, is up to date, and blazing fast. Root is not a deal breaker on this phone for me like my past phones. And I hack everything... Wii, cr48, router... But I don't find it completely neutering on this phone like other devices

It's a very capable phone, I agree. But it has far more potential than it has capability...and I didn't buy this phone to only be as capable as the phone it was replacing (a heavily modded EVO4G) with the only difference that I can actually see is a resolution difference.
Sure, we knew it would come locked. I knew I'd have this decision to make. It's a very capable phone. But it is also capable of so much more...that's what I want out of it. My 4G was doing everything at least as fast and with at least as good battery life with far more flexibility...
...the only reason I am so impatient is for the reason I posted above. If it doesn't happen relatively quickly the spark will fade rapidly. I feel very comfortable in the 30-day window. But as the 30 day window closes I am not going to be the only one who sizes up this situation and has to make a decision...more important than me and you and all of the other users there are the developers. The ones who provide the value-adding goodies that we love so much...without them we just have a phone like a million other phones, excuse me, that takes 3D pictures and/or Video...the only differentiating feature really....sure, HTC didn't sell a device that was intended to do the things I want to do with it--but it could...until they made it so it couldn't specifically...artificially...
You might not get it...if that's the case, congrats, this is the phone for you. No regrets. Rock on. But for me and what I would imagine are the majority of others here that is a deal breaker.....
@daneurysm: very, very well stated. I'm with you 100%

I have purchased your mogul, evo, and now evo3d. I would like to say that I love the evo3d, its an amazing device. But, if the bootloader isnt unlocked or rooted by the time my 30 days is up, I will be returning it. I feel as though I own the device, and used my hard earned money to buy it, and like a computer I should have access to it. I understand the consumer doesn't matter at all in todays corporate run world, but this is my stance, as is many others. I bought it, I own it, it is no longer yours or sprints as I'm not leasing it, I own it, its mine. Thanks, maybe.
their reply.
I certainly understand that you're looking for the bootloader of the EVO 3D to be unlocked. This is indeed something that we're working on, true to our word. We don't have a date set yet for when the update to do so will be available, but as this is a high priority situation when there is news on the subject it will be posted to our social media outlets, like our Facebook and our Twitter just as the previous announcement was. I hope that it is soon.

Still no released and fully functional Android?

Kind of makes me feel better missing the great deal, though at $100, the current function still makes the device a bargain.
Based on the time that has passed, seems a easy to install for the masses and 100% functional Android firmware gets more remote, as time passes.
I would still buy one in a second for $100

for 500 dollars it was a ,joke. Its slow, the browser is buggy, freezes randomly for up to a few minutes and the cases develop cracks. If I had paid 500 bucks for mine,I would be very upset.
I paid 168 for mine though. For that price,I got a 32gb tablet with technical specifications similar to 500 dollar tablets. It all of the problems except the poor quality plastics are solvable when we get android. Since I'm the sort of person that likes Lessig around with my computers and phones (and now tablets) a tablet with an open is is something I like. Mine seems only to have developed a single crack. In hp s defense I'm told they will fix it,but if I send it in,I'll get a refurb that could be worse than what I have so I fixed it myself by prying the crack apart and applying a uL of a solution of 20% ethyl acetate and 80% tetrahydrofuran (home made plastic glue) and then I drilled a relief hole at the end of the crack with a very very small drill bit. if I had paid 500 I would be very angry at this. For 168 bucks,I can live with it.
Looking at the progress of cm7,its impressive. ICS will be amazing.
still worth the money, and Android's obviously right around the corner
the primary reason i bought mine ($200CAD w/ targus case) was because the hardware for that price is OUTSTANDING! its the same specs as the HTC sensation/evo3d, and i always knew android would be possible because of this. my biggest concerns for android efficency were the partition table and the fact that everything is done in userspace.
...but then again, i knew it was a challenge that CMteam couldnt resist ;P
why is this retards thread still active?
Because we as a community support the mentally challenged and support the diversity in our forums. Mainly because we are bored and hasn't been any real or good information on this forum in 2 months. Just people asking for the alpha of the cm build( that in itself is retarded)

Not sour, but surprised the Touch is more difficult to bake a 100% functional and stable rom than expected. Probably 80% of the people that bought this hoping they can get Android on it will have no clue how, unless installs as easy as an OTA (including root process), which probably is not likely.
As long as people appreciate it is still a bargain without a dead easy Android solution, they still will be happy. I do believe mentioning this in the OP as well. My Flyer and Thrive are great devices, so nothing but good wine here.
Just would like a low cost Christmas present, but another $100 or so will cover that if not.

2. CM7 is not fully functional, in regards to all hardware on the device is working and stable.
3. Calling people idiots and morons is rude and usually comes from people in forums sitting in a dark room, eating Oreos and chugging Cokes. That said, I spent years in the Marines protecting freedom of speech, so have at it.

obviously if you are even half as smart as you are portraying yourself to be, you would know this isn't a simple as making a ROM. They are importing an entirely new OS. If its so easy and should have already been done, then why couldn't your smart ass do it?

Never said I was smart, but that even apparently "mentally challenged" can get ahead with their education.
The folks that work on CM7 are precisely why I am surprised. Point being, if they can not do it, it is NOT as easy as a lot of people assumed when they got the Touch.
Even if there is not a 100% stable and functioning Android OS, the device has more than enough function to cover the $100. Then again, the Touch would probably be selling pretty well to begin with if HP did not get so warm and fuzzy with Web OS. Seems having Android rather than Web OS to begin with would meant no $100 tablet liquidation sale to begin with.
Their strategic blunder got a LOT of people a great deal on a tablet.
Hate to spoil this love-fest w/data, but what the heck:

I'm out.
rushless, you should check out the build progress thread on rootzwiki
if you really graduated with a degree in computer electronics you should know that writing an OS for a hardware that is made for another OS is a very difficult task because everything has to be written or acquired (by the graces of the manufacturer of either the device or part) from the ground up. This also includes writing the driver and also creating a kernel that is able to understand the communications between the device (hardware) and android.
whether or not they are 100% functional, it is to be noted that they have done ALOT and at an amazing speed.
Just because you haven't heard any news doesn't mean the chances of android diminishing. Fortunately for the rest of the world, you being up to date with the latest info does not affect the chances of progress happening. That's about it.
p.s. thank you for your service for our country.

The Galaxy Note exudes a coolness factor/Samsung did an awesome job advertising this

Almost every instance on using this phone in public, people either stop and stare or they ask questions. It isn't like I'm trying to bring attention to myself but everyone is always asking if that is the new note. I leave it on my desk at work and whenever people come into my office, I'm asked about it and they want to doodle with the stylus. I hope this interest turns into more sales so that Samsung is prompted to come out with more phones in this line in the future. I simply refuse to go to any other phone now.
If you watched any basketball this weekend, the commercials were constant. They certainly seem to expect good sales:
http://www.androidcentral.com/samsu...llion-galaxy-notes-hopes-10-million-years-end
If you seek attention, I'm sure you will find it.
Seems as if you either walk around waving this phone in the air or you are doing something to draw attention to yourself.
Its only a phone dude!
I get a kick out of these type of threads. I used to read them on the iPhone forums and laugh, but it seems the same type of people are here as well.
Probably a bit of an underage issue a well.
I've been using the latest phones and tablets for awhile now and have never had anyone come up to me and ask me about any of them . Those that say they constantly have people coming up to them at obviously seeking attention.
Remember...a phone does not make you cool

I have both asked and been asked by strangers about phones I've owned. Perhaps people don't ask you because you give off a bad vibe, or smell bad, or something.

I smell bad but still get asked about my Note.
I got the note cause I'm fat and needed a big keyboard. So far the only ones to ask me about it are my close friends. Never have I had someone cone up to me or stare at me because of this phone.

Lol i got approached by a stranger the first day i got it at in & out burger. Whenever i play draw something with the s-pen, thats when people start to stare and i could hear em saying wow and omg thats a huge...(insert joke here). But put this phone next to your ear and you get strange looks.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
I had my phone out at Nordstroms looking at Google shopper for shoes I wanted. The salesman there asked if it was and I've probably been asked over a dozen times if its the note or wow that's huge what is it.

Your comment seems quite underage. Just because some people have strangers asking them about devices and you don't doesn't mean they are lying or looking for attention.
Really only a few devices in the recent past, such as the Droid RAZR, have received as much media attention and advertising as the Note, so all of your latest tablets and phones have likely not drawn the same attention from the general public. Therefore you cannot compare them to the Note.
I do not show off my phones, I use them. With my Captivate, I received no comments from strangers. With my Infuse, I had a couple, but only from people familiar with Android that were curious what brand and model it was. With the Note, same use and everything, I have received more comments and attention than the whole time I had both of my previous phone, in just two weeks. Dude in line at Chipotle, girl employee at Home Depot, several people I have never talked to in my classes here at college. This phone is turning heads whether you are looking for attention or not, so don't be a downer because nobody finds you approachable.

You guys are so funny, thought this would never happen to me.
Went to get my drugs at the pharmacy, and the 3 people behind the counter all came over to look at it and touch it, they asked the same questions. Yes it fits in my shirt pocket, and I let them try it.

i don't know about the Advertising
but after using it hands on for a few days I'm addicted, it's so hard to get back to my T989
I get a lot of looks, and some comments. mostly "is that a phone???", "is that the one with a pen?", or "Is that the Super Bowl phone?" (referring the commercials played at the Super Bowl).
I have a gold metallic case on it so most of the time it looks like I am carrying a huge gold bar. Funny the looks I get.
I get asked about it all the time. I'll just be sitting on the train or at the bar or something and I guarantee someone will ask about it.

It's definitely not the advertising. It's the fact that it's a larger phone. I used a Dell Streak for 1.5 years and got the same type of comments about it.

Not worth the time to comment but I will anyway. I use my phone for business, not playing games. I don't "play" with it while waiting in a food line, nor do I walk around with it like it is a trophy. Many here do. That is obvious. As far as being "approachable", I am not looking for strangers to come up to me and ask about my phone, and I certainly don't want them "touching" it. The reason I even responded to this post was because the OP stated that the Note exuded a "coolness' factor. That certainly tells me how old he or she is.
We all grow up someday. Some of us a bit later I guess.

I also use my phone for business, not playing games. The only time games get played on my Note is when I let one of my grandchildren use it to keep them occupied. Nor do I walk around with it like it is a trophy as you put it. That being said, I still think it has a 'coolness' factor and yes, I have been asked about it in public. I spend a great deal of time on the phone when out - isn't that kind of the point to have a cell? If I didn't want to talk on the phone outside the office, I wouldn't carry it. I really do not mind people asking about it.

Story#1 (2 weeks ago)
I attended my wife's induction into the honor society for her university yesterday afternoon. There were 16 inductees and we all socialized a bit before the ceremony began. I was to pin my wife so I quickly made nice with the couple that sat next to us and asked if they would mind tag teaming on getting pics of the pinning action. All was set. If you could have seen the look on the face of the guy (and others around us). When I pulled out my Note... He said "what is that!?!? ". Of course, I took the opportunity to demonstrate the wonders of the Note to him as his amazement grew. After he got a chance to handle it and snap a few pics of us during our part of the ceremony he was hooked. His wife looked at me and said "I guess he's found a new toy now.. I can see it in his eyes".. I just laughed and went about my business. He had an iPhone.
Story#2 (last week)
So I venture into my local Best Buy to return an item. As I am standing at the return counter waiting for the guy to process my return, I am typing away in facebook and fully engaged on my Note. The young girl behind the counter next to him said "Wow. Is that the Note? I want to get one so badly. My mom won't let me but I am going to figure out a way to get one. I love that phone." I then let her hold it because she was so starstruck with it.. Really... I laughed inside.

I will go with a $30 for the moment.
Thanks, hopefully someone will pick up the project..
I'd do $25, then another $25 upon completion. Problem Is we would need to raise enough money for whichever Developer to buy a Jetstream to build with.
i know. i'm hoping one of the dev's already owning the jetstream (i think there's one or two other than task650) will keep it up..
if not - maybe we could get enough money to buy one..they are cheaper than they used to be

I brought it up to Newtoroot from mikmik, he said for it to be done he'd need the device. He's done amazing work over the years, recently he recoded the ril from the one x to bring sense 4 ICS for the the reZound.
i think there's an opportunity here.
if we could get enough money, and one of the members here would like to sell his device, maybe we can buy a device for development.
meanwhile we must wait for the bounty to grow..

Yes. Agreed. Please guys pool in. Even if we don't get a member to sell the device, I think a new one would be like $550 or something with contract. Let's see. Hopefully Russ's contact also comes through. He will post details himself once any news available.

I would consider selling mine at a discount to a developer or trade for a thinkpad. Otherwise I would be willing to contribute to the bounty. IDK, it depends if anyone really thinks they can do it, but I've lost faith in HTC and hope in XDA.

I've got a little bit of experience with compiling Cyanogen. Work is crazy-busy for me lately, so I'm not sure when I'll have time to work on it, but I will do whatever I can to get this working.
I'm not much of a developer, so any help I can get will be appreciated. We'll need to look for other devices already running ICS that have similar hardware.
Like I said, work's crazy busy, so right now I don't have much time to hunt for this info.
However, I may be able to use the HP Touchpad (which I also have, running CM9) as a starting point. The Jetstream has a Qualcomm MSM8260 CPU, where the TP is using a MSM8060. They're similar, yet obviously not identical CPUs.
We'll also need to figure out the other hardware, like what display, touchscreen, wifi, etc. hardware the Jetstream is using.
With any luck, we'll get something. It sucks that Honeycomb is closed source. That'll make things a little bit harder. At least the kernel's open source still.
I'm going to post this over in the Dev section, for anyone who wants to help with data mining.
Oh, and I don't want the bounty. Just getting ICS on this device would be enough reward for me.

Doubtful. Like I said, I'm not a super-dev or anything, and things like bypassing/decrypting security are beyond me.
There's a couple people over in the Development forum who are buzzing about this. Apparently there *may* be an HTC dev willing to help out, if I understood correctly.
Let's push this!
this needs to get more attention. Otherwise it's just going to die off, I think for a developer to be truly interested we need more then $300, because building ICS for this device won't be easy. I know task has tried before and he said that he could not get it to work but I'm not sure how much time he had to play around with it since his daughter is sick. Maybe we can reach out to some tech media like Engadet, Boy Genius Report, or Tom's Hardware or even contact XDA and see if they can make a post about this on the portal homepage and really it this idea put there. I'm pretty sure that the jetstream has a bigger community then this just they might not know about xda...
its a matter of time, mainly.
this forum was never alive for more than a few days in a row..
people doesnt come here to often. we need to try and wait, and keep the posts going.
also - if someone feels the sums are too high, any contribution will count! even 5-10 dollars from a few people could make a change.
in the event of this not working, try signing my petition here, http://www.thepetitionsite.com/480/...ew-jetstream-jetstream-4g-android-40-upgrade/
What is the most insulting about the whole process is that HTC is discontinuing support (which is the only way to describe not updating software even a few months after release) and still insistent on keeping the device locked down for "user experience". I mean they could almost get XDA devs to do the support for free if they weren't so possessive about the device after the POS. Fingers crossed on that contact pulling through.

Don't you love people taking the DEV's work and getting money for it?

Some of you guys must not understand the difference between selling a service and selling a tangible product. You're paying for this guys time and knowledge of rooting android phones. Don't be such a stick in the mud

Agreed. I don't see the problem with it. Heck if I could make it into a side business I would. As others have said, they aren't selling the work that others have made, they're charging for their time, knowledge, gas (in a lot of cases they will travel to you) and convenience to root/hack/mod a phone that the owner doesn't want to do themselves. Yeah they can read some forums and do it themselves, but if they're willing to pay for it, it means they're either lazy and don't care or aren't technically inclined.
Some phones really aren't as simple as you would think to root and simply install wifi tether, for example. Downloading drivers, reading the root process for that device, downloading the scripts and tools, copying files to and from the phone, rebooting and the wait adds up into a lot of time and sometimes frustration. A lot of people don't want to deal with it, and if I'm going to learn all of that and sacrifice my time for someone I don't know, I want to be compensated.
I worked for Data Doctors (computer repair business) and while our prices (not set by me) were a little expensive, people gladly paid it because they didn't know how nor could they be bothered to fix the system themselves. That's business.
it took my around 5 hours the other day to figure out how to root, s-off and flash a custom rom on the Amaze. If I had already started my new job I would definitiv have paid the $15 to save me 5 hours of time.
Times are hard and knowledge is power.
If this guy knows what he's doing why not let him do it?
I think it's f*ed up that you flagged just because you're an XDA member who "supposedly" knows better.
He's trying to make some money off of his knowledge.
I mean, just because the information is here doesn't mean everyone who reads it understands it or could implement it.
Some people are not technology inclined.
YouTube has videos on how to do almost everything but just because you watch doesn't mean you'll be able to do it.
What was wrong with him trying to make money from the time and effort he invested into understanding the rooting and unlocking process of a phone?
Honestly..flagging him was a d**k move.
Took my girlfriends mytouch4gslide, he screwed up. Download ruu ....

For me, I want to know how to root and flash my own ROMs. Without knowing how to do things yourself you're stuck with whatever this guy loads on your phone, and isn't that the point of rooting, being able to load custom ROMs.
