When you select an app to be stored in the Multimedia, is this app stored on the internal sd or external sd, I supouse is stored in the internal by default if so is there a way to change it to the ext sd?
Select Menu on home screen > Manage Apps > select the app you wish to move to SD > select "Move to Media Area"
It will move to the desired location and in turn give you the option of moving back to phone.
It's stored on the internal sd card (multimedia). I haven't found a way to change that. There is an option in Titanium Backup that lets you pick whether to move an app to the internal or external sd card, but I've never tried it.

Hi, i'm using a Atrix, i can not instal the soft to the SD card so the Internal memory informed the space was fulled ??? so quickly.
Any one know that way please explant to me.
Thank you.
Yes you can but not all apps support it. There is also a limitation within android os which stops you from having widgets when you move application on to the SD card. Try using an application like app monster which will tell you what apps can be moved as soon as you install them. If not, simply use the built in alternative:
Go to Settings- Applications- Manage Applications
Then select which applications you want to move.
If the application supports it it will tell you "Move to Media Area" which means that you can move the applicaction to the SD card.
Also if you select the Media Area tab it will show you what applications are already on the SD card.
Hope that helps!
Cheers

I am trying to move Navigon from Internal Storage to the Sd-ext location. When i get to the screen to move the app, it only says "move to media area"
It just stays in internal storage?.
Likewise other progs like Sprite Backup only see the internal sd card and not the ext card. Any ideas?

If you go to settings, storage, storage location settings, you can change storing between internal memory or your sd card.
There is no option to save third party app data to sd. Or am i missing it?
Everything send to be saving to the internal 16GB, not my sd.
Should i download a third party app to do this?

setting > application > manage application > look for apps that you like to move > tab the move to internal storage
if move to internal storage does not highlight, mean that the app are not meant to running on internal storage, look for other apps
Apps that can not be moved has to do with the app development not with the phone, also when using a widget of the app the app cant be moved.
You can always try app2sd of course
I have an S4 with a brand new 32gb Class 10 sd card. I want to make sure that all of my pictures and videos are stored on the SD card and not the internal storage. I also, don't want them stored on both. Is there a setting for this? On a side note, is there a way to auto install apps to the SD card?
Thanks!
Camera app. Menu soft key, settings, cog wheel, storage, set to memory card.
And no.

is there a way to change the default storage to the external SD card. I already changed the settings in the camera, also in the built in web browser however whenever I download anything (via chrome), my downloads always save on the internal SD. same prob. when I download from the xda app. I now have multiple download, tapatalk, camera, etc. folders in the gallery due to this.
In My Files, use the menu key > Settings to change the default file locations for five types, downloads not included.
Since ICS/JB? Apps aren't installed to the SD card. Sucks with only 9gb total
