Hi everybody! Sgs II can adjust brightness level swiping left/right on notification bar. Is it possible to introduce it on Galaxy Ace?

Not sure. Why don't you just get CM7.2? Its worth it ;D
It takes time to get used to a firmware different from stock, and I don't have much of it 'cause of work! ^^
Will try in Xmas vacation... Maybe!
Anyway if someone could port it would be a good improvement for stock users, I think!

1- at the moment, no.
2- fully, no. just partially if using cm7.

The complexity of making a kernel maked the word "soon" seem improbable .

to builld a workink oc kernel or a kernel to support other stuff like voodo sound etc is a extrem hard work which needs a good dev and a lot of time and good luck^^
1 fail and the device is bricked( not softbricked) you can destroy the hardware (cpu or gpu and more)
sorry im german and dont use english in my job^^ i built kernels for my galaxy3 but im to stupid to made a kernel for ace (2 destroyed aces this time because of testing voodo cpu and gpu oc kernel state of the work deletet)

That costly experience, imho I agree with you not to oc this time. Focus on functionality and stability issue come first priority since cm on ace still beta stage.

It's not an overclock . It's a default clock .

I have just upgraded to a Samsung galaxy s2.
I want to know what others think is the best rom for it?
I just put reserection on it and camera does not work and sd card is mounted as mnnt which drives me insane
Also I am already missing the notification light off my desire, is there any way to have the menu button flash for notifications ?

Hi,
First off, galaxy s2 is still an amazing phone compared to the beasts released this year, fulfills every need at great speed and life.
I would recommend to you the Hyperdroid rom, it is simply the best where speed, life, response and its simplicity matters. I am a very happy user, thanks to Hyperdroid team, it wouldn't have been possible for me not to worry about its battery life and yet get great performance. It's based off official Samsung rom, so everything is guaranteed working. Best combination would be Hyperdroid rom + Redpill kernel which is also made by the same dedicated team, props to them. You won't be disappointed
Regarding the notification light, yes it very much possible, if I'm not wrong it requires a custom kernel like redpill...or any other of your choice. From the play store, type in BLN notification.

Yes but I don't like the Samsung touchwiz style interface in fact I hate it, also I would like to have an app drawer which knocks miui off the list.

Why not try some other launcher, such as Go Launcher, ADW, etc, in place to pick a full ROM?
You mean I can put adw. On top of miui, I'm gonna give that a try. Also is there any way to make a log of all the websites visited through any browser and have that remotely accessible?

I can recommend you AndyX Rom
I'm currently using v14 of this rom on SGS2 and for me it's just what I need
Many apps/settings included in this rom makes using the phone much faster and easier
It also includes Apex lancher mentioned by indresh88 which I guess is the best lancher
So has anyone ported the galaxy s3 lockscreen to galaxy s2?

It will be good idea (of course if it will work :laugh because Advance processor clock is set 1000mhz (ace "overclock" don't work well, only changes clock value display).

You must port rom sgs advance to make work in sga 2.

A lot of no popular devices have got custom kernel but ace 2 no !
Really ace2 performance is ****ty it must be oc !
...And ace2 will not get ics/jb (samsung poland services say NO, europe telling they aren,t releasing update but maybe in future (bull****).
NEVER SAMSUNG AGAIN (only high end support)

I don't understand why anyone would want to use it, its such a horrible keyboard haha. I just use swift key 3, so much more intuitive and is much faster.
I would love to use it too, hope fully someone will help us with it.
