Hi guys! Have a problem... boot looping from the first day i bought it, can not return (bought on internet) Tried all resets, still looping... is anything i can do? Tried to instull europian ROM, no luck (see other posts) that's canadian Rogers xt910
all you can really do is wait for an SBF, sounds like. /:
Try to press both volume buttons and power button for about 5 seconds or more to shut down the Razr..then power back on and see how that goes.
Doesn't help, still boot looping, is there something else i can do?
when did you buy it? you have 14days to return
No, i can't return it, the guy i bought it from said that is my fault...
What Phone are u suing ?
are using a Canadian or a US version or EU version .
Have u tried clearing ur userdata thru recovery ? boot loop meaning does it come to razr animation or does it stay at M logo
@2141
You're over warranty. He has to send your device to Motorola or give a new one to you.
If he still refuses, you can sue him... or... send it directly to Moto. You just have to call Motorola and do an RMA request
I've tried hard reset with all wipes, nothing, there is no added apps, the phone is stock, about seller, i am thinking to... But i am hope can fix it... That is canadian xt910.
Are you at least able to see the Dual Core screen? If so, try this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19814306&postcount=7
The phone is working, i can use it for a while... After it freezes and reboots, works for a while and reboots again...
While in safe mode or after rebooting?
It's working in normal mode, with all apps... Just rebooting like somebody turning it on and off...
definitely you got a lemon.. exchange it at least..
Happy to, but i can't...
send it to moto. it's a new phone, it's still under manufacturer warranty
This can be a software problem ... or an hardware one. I repeat, call Motorola.
So, the phone working perfectly on charger... no reboots, just fine. But if i take it off the charge- disconect the cable, it reboots onse in the wile. May somebody tell me, if i try to flash it with europian ROM will it helps? Or if i disconect the battery for a wile will it change something?
Possible reasons:
1. Software problem
2. Battery is faulty
3. Power IC is faulty
Won't reply anymore to this, there's no reason to write "call Motorola and send it" at every reply.
Sorry about that... Thanks to everybody, will try to call motorola, see what thay say...

After ROM upload my HTC Hero show only some logo like device out of box. Nothing else is going. Button combinations for bootloader access is not working. Any ideas?
I managed to skilfully brick mine too, is a there a way to get it to boot up via key combination or using USB from a computer?
We are three now.
I know (presumably) my error: I flashed an SPL zip package that could be of the wrong type (Dream).
The boot shows the phone logo (mine says G2 T-Mobile).
The home keydown at boot doesn't work.
Is there a possibility to unbrick it?
Hope someone tells you how to unbrick it as I was about to do the update the ROM, not sure I want to do it now.
Right this is very weird as i had the same picture on my phone and thought it was bricked too..
BUT i just did a soft reset call menu end together. Then i did a hard reset as i wasnt sure if the soft one had done anything. Battery out then in and start up phone whilst holding down house and back key and then it started to boot up. So not sure if this helps anyone i doubt it as its very random but i thought id share just in case!!!
I had just flashed my radio when mine did this..
friend of mine had tha problem too, he had to send his device to htc.. 50 bucks ;-)
hmmm ... i am one of u guys now ...
no matter what key-combo i press, it just show a BOX and an arrow and a phone ... 3 sec later, phone turns off, no matter hwat key u press, it is not doing anything until u unplug the batery ... then when u turn it on, it repeat the same thing again
check if you can access fastboot via back+power when the phone is off. if so install recovery image and then install correct rom. if not i guess you're screwed, not sure though.
This guy

seemed to have the same issue and resolved it.
Hope it helps/good luck!

Any body please help me, I'm love it because now we can run both WM. and Android
Upppp waiting for your help
Did you try a long press of the reset-button?
You could try to put the original Stock Image from HTC onto the root-folder of your SD-Card, rename it to LEOIMG.nbh and Push Vol up + Vol down during start and follow the on-screen instructions if it works.
Otherwise use Search-Function in the forum.
ı have jtag HTC for samsung and HTC devices if u want send for repair to me..

admin..
I use ORT
Did you check to make sure your radio version was correct before flashing? This is probably the number one reason for bricking.
Check this thread it may help you if you did the flash properly:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=668347
i got same problem now...
no screen, no boot, vol down+ power oso same
no screen just a long vibration
anybody help?
I am using the correct radio so don't tell me I am using a wrong radio or something, I have been flashing for 4 months so I know EXACTLY how to flash.
now i can neither get into tri-color or hard reset so don't tell me to flash or smth like that, just tell me how to recover properly
Don't tell us to use search or something because seems like only 2 of us is encountering this problem in the internet
I'm exactly the same problem as TS coz it juz auto go vibrate when plug in battery
This problem actually started when I flash ROM halfway, it stucked and failed...
the device is already HSPL-ed!!!!
but why the F it cannot get into tri-color bootscreen now?
Also, I have to state that my device already got several problems before, my device was very hard to bootup as it will always stuck at HTC screen w/o red version number at bottom left corner, must keep on removing and reinstall battery and reboot until it can boot, not an issue with rom/radio/sim/sd as I tried flash proper rom and radio and remove sd and SIM.
my device also seems like got problem at the gps chip, because when using it for a few minutes, it will lost signal and never reconnects unless i soft reset, after use gps the device will also use battery VERY FAST(-100mA in standby, from -4mA).
now i cannot flash to stock completely, how do I get warranty it?
at the long vibrate, when i plug in to my pc, it will keep on got usb connected and disconnected sound
and dont know what device is connected as not shown in found new hardware and device manager
I also have been searching all possible keywords about what me and TS encountered but all linked to completely UNRELATED results(like search for long vibrations only link to people asking how to make vibration long and 1st result is this thread)

of course YES
i told you i have been flashing for so long
Leo from T-Mobile. Hi! I've got same problem. After flashing new (next) rom phone definetely died. Phohe is currently simfree and with HSPL. Only one reaction is short vibration after press power button. I searched everywhere. My phone has no bootloader but system see him as Qualcom CDMA Technologies MSM. Thats all, any ideas? Please and thanks for advice.

Yes, you flashed a non tmous stock rom that included a ..51.. radio and it destroyed your phone.
What rom? exact filename please.
thank you so much.
I bricked a Leo with the .51 radio. I think I read that is a European or otherwise foreign radio. Since your ROM has Euro in the name.......

The full filename for that rom is
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.66.479.2_Radio_CRC_Si gned_15.32.50.07U_2.07.51.22_2_Ship.exe
it comes with a version x.xx.51.x radio, and they do Not work on tmous (t mobile us) phones. They kill them
Your phone is dead, sorry. No known fix.
warranty or repair (or JTAG if you are brave and have the money)
a friend of mine bricked his phone. he then tried to microwave it, but that didn't work after that he took a power wire from an old computer, cut it and connected it directly to the phone's parts where the battery would go...this completely f-ed his phone up (he also used a lighter to fake a powersurge of the battery). Then he called htc and a few weeks later he got a new hd2!
GOOD LUCK
lol, he doesnt need to do any of that, its allready as dead as it can be. Loads of epople have had them replaced under warranty with this kind of brick. It wont start, so htc/tmo cant see that its been hacked.
Hi! I understand and realy sad. Somebody know where could I fix it in UK? And how much for this pleasure. Thanks.
i would contact htc, see what they have to say. (dont say you flashed it, it just stopped working")
Last night, Im taking picture using my Xperia S. then suddenly it automatically restart and then im stuck in boot logo. i wait the battery to drain because i don't know what to do, then i charge it and wait. it opens again. but now its normal. what is the problem of my phone? should i bring it to Sony Service Center and get a replacement? if yes what things should i bring when going in Sony Service Center? Thanks. and last thing. what should i do if that's happen again.
Sorry for my Bad ENGLISH.
Did u root your mobile and have recovery?? If yes then you could try restoring...
You could also try to flash a new/stock ROM's system img by puttting the phone in fastboot mode and flash the system img from that ROM.
Normally boot loops happen if some changes are made to system files and those changes were not proper... these boot loops are taken care of by restoring a nandroid(backup created by recovery for rooted mobiles)
I dont root it or unlock the bootloader. I dont make any mods on my phone. Im afraid it will happen again. T.T
I doubt it would happen again... After getting a replacement then you could root the phone and make a backup... Then even if this happens, you could restore the phone without going to a service center.
WAIT: Did you try holding the power + volume up button till the phone vibrates three times (not one time) during the boot loop.
What firmware did you have? I really think just was a random problem, and like shivindera said, doubt it will happen again.... just keep it in the eye, if it still continue doing that, try to restore the software with PC companion, if after that the problem continues, go to the servie center
Thanks for your help guys. Ill do all what you said. If the problem repeat again ill just get a replacement from service center. But for now im afraid to root my phone because of these problem.
Hi there!
This thread is my last hope, so please dont let me down folks...:cyclops:
The story short - one sunny morning i turned on my HTC Nexus One and it got stuck with te X on the screen for about 15 minutes, non of the buttons responded, so i did the first thing that came in my mind - i pulled out the battery. After inserting the battery the phone went full brick, i mean literally, no reaction on anything, even conected to the wall charger, there is no sign of life, no charging LED, nothing. Connected to the PC, it says USB device not recognised.
I dont think this is a hardware proble, the phone workwd fine until this interrupted power on. Phone runned on stock Androud, i have not played aroun with it - no bootloader unlock, no rooting.
I searched the internet for a solution, tried a lot of button combinations like in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069032
but still no luck, i cannot restore or flash it while my PC does not recognise the phone.
Found some info about those Usb Jig things, but they work only on Samsung phones, so, is there a way to force the phone to go in recovery mode, or give any sign of life so i can try to recover it or flash a diferent ROM?
The warranty has ended, so no hope there.
Hope there is a way out of this, and, sory for my bad english. :good:

Well no, bricked is a term used when you are rooted and flash a bad rom, kernel, etc. You have no root, so you cannot be "bricked". Just a software failure, you cannot flash another rom because, again, you have no root or custom recovery. Your best bet is trying to send it back to your carrier and get it replaced

The warranty time is out, so there is no help from the carrier, unless for cash...
But there must be a way to bring it back to life.

Now the screen may not show, but try booting into fastboot mode by press and hold the Trackball+Power buttons together.
I'm not sure about the nexus one, but newer nexus devices have factory images, supplied by Google. If they exist for the nexus one, you should be able to save your device by flashing them through fastboot. That is if the images exist and you can get to fastboot.

Hi. I have a SGSIII which doesn't work properly. Its previous owner told me that the phone had started work slowly so the owner decided to restore factory settings. After that operation he was not able to use SGS. It keeped restarting. He gave up and now this telephone belongs to me. When I try to run this phone telephone restarted as soon as the system started. I decided to flash SGS with stock firmware. I found the one which contained only one file (PDA). Unfortunately it didn't help me. Then, I installed CWM and CM11. But the problem still wasn't solved. Finally I decided to find four-file stock rom (Bootloader, PDA, PHONE, CSC), of course I still have the same problem. I've been looking for solution in the Internet and I'm afraid that could be hardware problem, what is more, it seems to be common. Do you, guys, have any ideas what can I do to fix this issue? Or can you confirm that is the hardware problem? Thanks in advance.

Well I haven't tried taking it to service, because I am not sure if it is worth to repair this. Replacing the motherboard will be expensive so the better way will be buying another phone.
It could be a stuck power button... that can cause bootlooping type behavior. If the phone turns itself on when you put the battery in, but then reboots before it gets done booting it's likely the power button.

I don't think so the power button is guilty, becaue the telephone doesn't turn itself and it doesn't reboot until Android starts.
