Try sending a picture message to your own number that usually works.

Use something like whatsapp or chaton .... it's free to send pics and you won't get charged like you do with 3
Giving it some beans on my blue s3
Weird I've sort of got it working I can now receive picture msg but if I send one to someone they never receive it and in my messaging app it just says sending until I delete that msg and in the message list the msg shows as no subject

It seems to happen randomly, sometimes it will display the saved contact info for the incoming call. Sometimes it will not though. It displays "Unknown caller", when I know that this person is in my contacts. Has anyone else had this trouble?
Don't you have two contact records with the same phone number? It can cause an Unknown phonecall.

I was gonna say that. When I imported my contacts it linked a lot of them for me. Some incorrectly, and some had the same number in twice.

So which of the linked contacts are safe to delete? I have "Mobile life contacts", Google and Facebook on some of the contacts.

I'd keep the google one.

i just got the evo v for virgin mobile and my question is, is it normal for the texting to be in blocks? on the left it shows all the texts from my recipient and on the right it shows all from me but it doesn't show them in the order the texts were sent and received. all of my texts are at the top of the page and all the received ones are at the bottom. is this normal and is there a way to change that?

Go into your sms app and go to settings/general and make sure the view is set to conversation.

What ROM are you on. You should be able to go to Sense Messaging App and go to settings/general and Turn on Conversation Mode. This is or a Sense ROM.
I'm running the stock Rom but if I can't change I will probably change it.

Nope they are not correct. The other is an hour ahead. Is that on my end or hers?

Here is my issue. I added someone to my reject call list. Few weeks later I removed that contact. I can get texts and phone them. But Every time they call me the phone sends them to voice mail still.
I have deleted the contact removed the Google contact as well. Rebooted and added the contact back in. Same results.
I am using fj ics rom

Did you make sure to remove them from the call reject list on your phone?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Sorry I didn't state that clearly in my post. Yes after a couple weeks I removed the person from the reject list.

You could wipe all caches from recovery...
That should clear any rogue data being used by applications...and may fix the issue....g
That was it. Fixed. Thanks.

Has anyone else noticed or experienced unusually long call connect time? No matter what method I use to place a call (swipe, enter number directly, ect...) it takes 15-20 seconds before I can hear the phine start ringing. I'm on mj4 stock rooted with mj4 baseband. Any input is appreciated.

Do you use Google voice and merged your number? This issue happens to me when my Google voice and Sprint number is linked. It also happens for incoming calls too, where when I pick up on the first ring, the caller says they waited 6 rings or more. I temporarily unlinked my numbers, and got instant results

yes, I use Google. Thanks for the head up, I'll try unlinking
