p7510 - Extra ram (maybe swapper?) - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone tried doing something with the lame 784mb of the p7510? say like using the SD for RAM?
Someone suggested (in a general android forum) to use swapper and to create swap partition on the sd. Anyone tried "Android Swapper" Yet?

My phone is rooted.
any help????
Your options would be scripts like DarkTremor or (the slightly more user-friendly) Link2SD.
But be warned: both are not 100% stable... I've finally removed DarkTremor after a lot of issues: How about upgrading to a custom ROM instead?
Hi.
I dont want to start new topic so I use this one to describe my problem.
I read a lot of webs to find solution but here's comes some problems with that.
I've got Samsung Gio S5560 and 4GB SD card. After creating 2 primary partitions FAT32 and ext2 link2sd says that "no space left on device" and i cannot do anything. Even when I use 2GB card or create partition f.e. ext3 it doesn't works.
Can anyone help with that ?
Sorry for my english. I hope is understandable
Of course phone had been rooted.
Android 2.2.1
Regards.
I'm not sure how these scripts determine which partition to use... have you tried partitioning through ClockworkRecovery? Maybe they need the partitions in a certain order or (more likely) some other requirement. CR would very likely take any such requirements into account.
P.S. Your English sounds fine to me, but this doesn't come from a native speaker either, so...
I used to create partitions MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition. On YT there ale some tutorials so I used them. At the beginning I create FAT32 and then ext2. Maybe at the morning I try some new configs with my SD card.

[Q] 16GB folio 100 - need to fix partition table (maybe)

So, I recently recovered a brick folio 100, and used foliomod 1.4 for a few days. Then I tried installing cm9, but it simply will not work. So, I contacted a forum poster who created a thread to recover bricked folios (the solution I had used) and we tried to fix the issue. The problem is that his solution was devised for 8gb devices, mine is a 16. I was able to install honeycomb, but it seems something is messed up with the storage. The SD Card, for one, is mounted (in Astro File Manager) as USB). The Storage page shows:
MICROSD
Total 12.55GB
Available 5.66GB
INTERNAL STORAGE
Total 0.98GB
Media 6.88GB
Applications -7149256704.00B
Available 777MB
So, something must be messed up somewhere. Can anyone help, or point me in the right direction?
Bump - anyone have any pointers for this??

[Q] CM7 on NT 16Gb: 'mnt/emmc' is missing

intalled CM7 several weeks ago - in general everything's fine, but I still can't find the answer for this problem
there's mnt/sdcard (for external microSD)
and mnt/media (seems to be a part of internal storage)
but there's no mnt/emmc or mnt/sdcard/sd_external
I can place about 450 Mb at 'mnt/media'; however file manager says that there's 11.1 Gb available of 11.9 Gb total
how can I mount the internal SD?
or should I partition it somehow first?
or is there a way to "resize" mnt/media?
Thanks in advance for any help
Check out the repartition thread in general discussion.
Seems like a lot of stuff, but its quite easy to follow.
Thanks, mate.
Had no success looking for something like this myself. Doesn't this topic worth to get into some FAQ? Is there something like that for each device?

[Q] How do I make my Archos "use" the SD card?

I saw a thread on this last week, before I'd rooted the tablet, and can't find it any more. Please feel free to point me if my question's already been answered!
I have an A101It, so gen 8. I've just rooted it with the '-rw' method on here. Thing is, I can still only use the SD card for file storage - can't even move apps onto it - and would really like to know how to get the system using it as extra 'internal' memory. I might possibly be looking to use it as a swap file, I'm not clear on the terminology. At the very least I should be able to install apps to it, shouldn't I?
Can you do this with the root method I've used, or should I undo that and use uruk droid instead? Has anybody posted working instructions on getting some performance advantage from an SD card? (Or shall I just fill it up with 32gb of pointless home videos that nobody will watch?)
Not sure if i can help but ill try it anyways , did u try the ''app 2 sd'' apps?
I used them when my internal storage was full so i could move my apps to my SD card so i had enough space again.
Hope this helps!

[Q] Change internal memory partition?

I'm running Liquid Smoth 3.1, and noticed the internal memory (for apps and such) is separated from the internal SD. Can we increase the internal memory allocation? I don't recall if this was common or not before I installed the ROM.
Still no solution found...

This is how old Samsung used as a separated partition(2GB/Remaining space) structure.
I could confirm that newer models only have one partition.
I had researched days of searches and still did NOT find confirmed easy solutions like flashing ZIP files.
(My research -> Link)
I REALLY DO wish someone could guide me a solution to repartition as one total 16GB(Like newer Galaxy)
or expending 2GB system partition to any bigger size.
I still did NOT find the solution and still looking.
The only last method I did not try - Working with ADB command which I need to consider to brick my phone.
But this is my primary phone that I use.
Even worse, KitKat ROM(I am using beanStalk ver 4.4.4001) does not allow to use App2SD function.
I have to manage all of my apps+data+decent space within 2 GB limitation even if I have 11GB available
space as an Internal Storage (NOT External SD).
Hope it helps and let you know you are in same boat with me.
Once again, I wish there is an easy solution who could help us!
Any Update??
HI, has anyone found a solution? ty
