Im new to the forum and andriod rooting.
Could someone please direct me to where i can find a list of aHero roms, i have recently updated to a new rom ver on my htc hero and would like to go back to the version i had before.
all i unfortunately remember about the rom i had on my phone was that it was called aHero .....
My reason for me wanting to going back to this rom is it seems to be the only rom that picks up my service providers gprs setting automatically ( i am on vodacom south africa network)

No problem my friend, for future reference do a nandroid backup before flashing a ROM. Then if you dont like it or it has problems you can restore your backup.
Thanks for the suggestion but you know us IT guys always think we dont need backups and just wing it lol
i have managed to get the gprs settings for south africa , thanx so much for your assistance
** Update** The Phone is rooted with Lite'ing ROM for now . Still 2G access. will updating the radio help? also is there a ROM that can enable HSPA/3G? any Tmob users have a clue?
or is there any stock ROM that has the toggle for 3/4G option?** kindly reply

purchased a SGS2 while on a trip to india. I'm on Tmobile in the US and got myself a 4G sim only to realize that the phone only allows me to be on GSM.
the guy at the store asked me to root and flash it for 4G speeds.
1. is it possible? and is there roms available?
2. should I just wait it out till US SGS2 comes out next month and install one of them on the phone??

i love my phone, unfortunately its not worth paying for 4G if i cant use it!!

with customs ICS Rom on my RAY, I am unable to tether my connexion with SFR provider. It works perfectly with other providers (same phone), and it seems it is a common issue...

but it is not convenient at all :/
could anybody with kernel skills include a fix in a kernel ? it would be FABELOUS !!!!!!!

I'm from Vietnam, I have just come USA about one month.
My problem is: I have SKY pantech A870L korea vesion , but when i come USA i have t-mobile sim, and use it with my phone, but i can't connect 3g or Lte network, just connect to 2g ( very slow) . I trying uprom (any rom, vietnam rom, korea rom) but the problem not solved. Please help me, give me some ideas to solve this problem :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: . thank you so much for help !!

You can't. That phone uses different bands then the US. You will have to get a world phone.

"World phone", also known as a quad band phone. If you want an unlocked phone to work on T-Mobile's LTE, it'll need to support band 4.

Well, I don't think there's nothing much you can do with your phones as the US mobile network operated at different band and your device may not be supporting that band better option for you would be getting a new phone form the vendor other than this no other option can help you much with the problem you are currently experiencing.

I got these problem when I flashed a new ROM on my phone (custom ROM) my 3g signal is not stable especially on SMART sim anyone knows how to fix it?
